Damn this is the highest score I’ve seen you give since I started watching the channel last year😳😳 it’s really that much better than Oppenheimer? I absolutely loved part 1 too
Damn that high, huh well if you say it, then I would run to see it in theaters, and that because you're one of the reviewers that I absolutely trust keep up the great work, man! 😊
Trust me, you want him to make one more to cover Dune Messiah. It's a different thing because years have passed and everything has changed. But it's a fitting conclusion to Paul's arc.
I can't wait to see this movie on opening day. And I already know that we need that extended version of both part 1 and 2, I hope Denis changes his mind and give us hardcore fans the longer movie that we deserve.
Austin Butler as Joker in the James Gunn DCEU. Please. JAMES GUNN NEEDS TO READ THIS AND REALIZE THE PERFECTION. everyone upvote this or else its the end of the Universe
Such a beautiful great movie with so many talented actors. Everyone did a really good job. And the movie had gorgeous scenes too. Timothee and Zendaya did so incredibly well, everyone did. I love Florence Pugh so I wish she was in it more
I was blown away. Some of my fav films include Oldboy, The Seventh Seal, The Godfather... Dune 2 is easily in my top 20 of all time and want to watch it again to see how high it can go.
Let’s see. I’ve said Dune Part 1 for me was solid after hearing the non stop unanimous high praise, so I’ll go into this at least hoping I’ll find it an enjoyable time too. Best case scenario: I understand everybody, have a redemption arc, and come to appreciate and love both parts
Literally exactly the same boat. I wish the first dune invested more time into the characters before certain events happen, I was pretty unemotional during parts I was supposed to care about
I thought part 1 was alright at first but, it grew on me! I started to really love it before part 2 came and I haven't been so hyped for a movie in maybe ever! It lived up to the hype.
@@KerioFive Part 1 has similarly grown on me. I fully rewatched it last week, and I noticed and appreciated a lot more things this time around. I guess it’s the kinda film that only gets better the more you revisit it. Dune Part II was my 6th most anticipated movie of the year, but it’s actually become the film I’m most looking forward to now. Like even My Hero Academia’s 4th movie and I love My Hero way more than I do Dune lmaoo
So you preserve the precious water in your bladder during the movie! Stilgar is honoured by it! But at some point in time, we have to let it flow out of our male worms! 🤣🤣 P.S. Can't wait to see this monumental movie and i think Dune Messiah could be even more powerful as the conclusion of Paul Saga!
I saw the movie last night, and read more than a dozen Dune books. I Recommend this Film! It made me cry... I was So Pleased with how the book was being portrayed on film. Many topics were glossed over and will be mentioned in the next films
I thought the movie was beautiful... however, the ending left me with a mixed and sour feeling in my mouth. A lot of people at my screening were like "huh, that's it?" when the lights went on. They changed a huge part of the original novel's ending so i'm curious how they will adapt the next novel.
The part about very strongly hinting at another movie at the end is there for a few reasons. One is that Dennis, from the very beginning, knew that the story would feel incomplete just doing the first book (which he split into 2 parts), so he always planned on doing dune messiah as well because it rounds out Paul's story arc. The other reason is that he had to do the same thing, but far more abruptly at the end of part one because part 2 wasn't even green lit yet. Strongly hinting at the next movie is his way of making sure people know the story isn't concluded yet, and pressuring the studio to let him make the next part. With part 2 getting better reviews across the board, and likely far better box office sales (though part 1 was released during covid), i would be shocked if they didn't want him to finish the trilogy.
@@fashionablechangeling1988 Really the one review of 2 I actually didn't watch, airbender is the other.Holdovers just wasn't for me 30 min to long,it was ok
Im so excited for this movie. Ive read the first book 3 times and ive gone deep into the lore of the first book. I know there is alot more and ive been waiting for the movie to drop to read book 2 and 3
Elvis is not dead, he kicked the habit, went to Geddi prime and got even more %$#@ up then ever before. A true rock star from...... well not from Mars but close enough. Can't wait to see it. PS Eat it Charlie.
Just got out of the theater myself and my hype levels are off the chart. The levels of interwoven artistic mastery are mindblowing. I feel like Im fanaticized now lol
After watching it, I would give it a 98. I would take 1 point off pacing. I would take 1 point off resonate because there were a couple of times that Paul would do something that doesn’t really make sense for his character if you haven’t read the books. Which now that I think about it idk if that critique would fit under resonate or story lol. But besides that, absolutely perfect sequel, it’s my favorite movie of the decade so far which is saying a lot because I LOVED Maverick, Batman, Oppenheimer, and The Invisible Man…. The question is… are Villeneuve and Nolan neck and neck now?
Haven't seen the movie or it's ending, but Denis will be making the finale of the Paul Atreides story in Dune Messiah, which is tentatively scheduled to be made after his next movie. May have to wait until 2027-8 before it comes out.
The first one was cool and while it felt epic it didn't deliver on world building and I could really care less about the characters. So hopefully this one delivers on that
Only issue with Dennis movies is people who are willing to spend on another fast and furious movie don't show up for his best work, blade runner 2049 for me is the best Sci fi of last decade and hardly it recovered it's cost, my fear is same for dune 2
To make myself clear, I really enjoyed the movie, I thought it was fantastic but the final battle was a little short. On the whole I'd give the movie a 9 - 9.5/10
Part 1 is a lot like 2001. It's beautiful however leaves many gaps which leads to 2010 which fills in what was missing, so I hope this will be a spectacular sequel. Butler was familiar with Feyd having read the book when he was 15, so you know he's going to be loyal to the character...as if it's the role he's always wanted and why became an actor.
Just for context, how many 100s have you given on the channel? I know thats incredibly rare for you. @11:00 too late for that LOL I’m 100% expecting to have my greatest theater experience since The Dark Knight

Dune and Oppenheimer can’t be compared, one used CGI and the other doesn’t .. different amazing but different DNA’s
