  • For tough jobs, it's often easier to head back to the toolbox for a proper set of pliers-until now.
The Dual-Force isn't your average multi-tool, boasting layered construction to provide 2x the jaw strength and 2x the force to manhandle any task put in front of it. The adjustable 2-position slip joint jaw and extra-large teeth grasp firmly onto a variety of fasteners and apply unparalleled control.
Additional features include a center-axis bit driver, plain edge knife blade, fine/coarse file, saw, and additional bit storage.

I have wanted this ever since I came out, big head and not a ton of unnecessary tools but tools you can actually use. But As a single dad with two awesome boys I can’t afford it at the $110 Price right now because times are tough in Sweden, so I was like a kid on Christmas when I saw you “end of summer sale” and the tool being 50% of making it really really good for me but I was let down. come to find out when I was trying to check out that you don’t sell international only in the states… now I can get it later but I doubt that I want to because if you only ship to the US I’m not gonna bother

At that weight you might as well carry a real, capable set of pliers, a dedicated pocketknife and something like a Wera mini ratchet. Not that much heavier, but way more capable and if something breaks you only have to replace one inexpensive item, not the whole expensive Multitool.

    • @oftheforest6572

@@gunargundarson1626 well I do. Knipex Cobra XS, 62g 10cmX3cm and only 1cm thick, much nicer than a Multitool.
Wera Zyklop Mini with bit set, 12,5cmX8cmX2,5cm, 162g.
And mostly I carry a Mora Classic 2/0 or a custom I made a while back, I'm just a fixed blade guy for EDC.
Weight is pretty much the same as a Multitool (the Wave is 280g or there about) and the size is really manageable, as it comes in multiple pieces, the Cobra goes in the back pocket (in a small leather slip) the Wera ratcheting wrench in the front left pocket and the Knife sits on my belt horizontally in the front. Works pretty well for me.

It's pity the Gerber guarantee doesn't cover international... I just wish I could get replacement parts here down under.
I bought a MP600 and one of the clips for the slide mechanism fell off. Couldn't find any online parts so I rang up Fiskars (parent) and they said go to the original retailer because they don't supply replacement parts. $100 AUD down the drain because of a missing clip that could easily be fixed. Not exactly an environmentally friendly policy. 😌

Yeah. Use the right tool for the job every time. How did this ad get out of planning??? Multi-tools are to be used in a pinch. Not when you have a box of proper tools available to you.

I agree with you. I cary a Leatherman but honestly it doesn't get used all that much because whether I'm in my shop, house, or truck I usually am very close to the legit actual tool for the job. So I go that route. It's literally just there in case and mostly just the knife gets used. Scissors sometimes. I like using it, but I won't destroy it trying to put it in the game ahead of the starter.

Same here. My brother has his from 1995. I still have mine from 2005. I use it hard. I use it as a hammer a nail punch and a pry bar all the time. Thought I'd go Leatherman since my father in law raved about them. I broke all I bought. Father in law ended up braking three Leathermans in about 5 or so years. Gave my last Leatherman to my brother in law. Not impressed with them. They look pretty but they don't hold up. The tips of my Leatherman pliers would brake. The plier pivot would rest, locks would quit, little screwdriver would break easy, all blades would flop around freely, plier pivots would wobble, the last straw was when I was cutting a fence wire and I was squeezing and the two handle sides went together. It didn't cut the wire but the frame/handles bent and became utterly useless. So no, not impressed.
