Honestly? I could also see Joker in the Star Sapphires, because of his obsessive love of Batman. Freeze would also make a good star sapphire because of his love of Nora. And I thought Two Face was going to have two rings; blue for Harvey, always hopeful to change the world and make it better, and red for Two-Face, forever angry at what the world has been and continues to be.
Two Face would be both a Blue Lantern of Hope and a Red Lantern of Rage. Ra’s could definitely be a Black Lantern of Death. I think Joker would be an Indigo Lantern of Compassion. As the Indigo Lanterns force people who have no compassion to have compassion.
Ra’s being a Black Lantern of Death would make sense if you consider that he defies death constantly with the Lazarus Pits but people who use the Pits return somewhat changed, like if death had seep into them too...
Literally came here to raise the Indigo Lantern Joker idea xD Since we have 3 Jokers now, it'd be a great idea imo to have one Joker go good permanently as an Indigo Lantern, being a mainline DC universe equivalent of the Jester.
I would argue that Mr freeze would most likely be a Star Sapphire because while yes he has a lot of Willpower and hope it all derives from his love for Nora and that love is overall what drives him.
I'm going to agree with you on Bane being Green. Not everyone who used Green was a hero, look at Sinestro before he went Yellow. It's about being able to have the will and being able to over come fear and Bane is that 100%
Honestly, that was probably the worst take I’ve heard from this guy. I feel like his reading of Croc was really shallow. If he is red, it’s because he’d be angry about how his skin condition/mutation turned out and the hunger it instilled in him. A focus on the tragedy of red lanterns would’ve been more appropriate, but when he started talking about how cool it would be, it gave the impression that’s as far as he thought, which I know isn’t true.
Absolutely, in my head he's hands down a Yellow Lantern with room to grow, he's a character that is surrounded by fear whether it's his own fears toward how he was treated as a child to the fear that surrounds his existence as a monstrous creature, Croc's biggest weakness in my opinion is that he succumbs to fear, he becomes a nightmare because that's all he knows and that's how people treat him.
Yeah, I could see the same arguments being made for Clayface's potential redemption arc be made for Killer Croc. Not to mention there was that one storyline where he actually helped out Roy Harper when he could tell he was just trying to get himself killed. Even became his sponsor for his alcoholism.
The black lantern corp is definitely the best option for Joker, but I think the indigo tribe would also be a good fit. Their rings seek out people who have no compassion at all and compassion upon them. Honestly, that would probably be the perfect timeline as Joker would finally recognize that what he’s been doing for years has been awful, and he would seek redemption. But on the flipside, a black lantern joker would be awesome, especially if we go by the current cannon in which he knows Bruce Wayne is Batman. Imagine if he brought Thomas and Martha Wayne along with Alfred back to life as zombies just to torment Batman.
Joker already recognizes what he does. He is super sane. Fully aware of his actions. I’m sure he has compassion, he just doesn’t care. In fact, the fact he knows it’s wrong, and knows exactly how the people suffer, is probably what makes it so funny to him
And with his super sanity (fourth wall awareness) if he didn't have compassion yet and gained it he might end up pulling a Deadpool kills the marvel universe
I feel like when it comes to Batman himself, not enough people talk about how the best lantern corps for him is either blue or indigo, they only talk about yellow and green. Blue is obvious, Batman is one of the biggest symbols of hope in the entire DC universe, but indigo is a bit more complex in my reasoning. Yes, indigo usually comes to people who need to be reformed, but I think the rings would make an exception for Batman due to the real reason he keeps being Batman and protecting the people of Gotham is out of his pure compassion, not wanting anyone to go through what he did ever again that motive is one of the most compassionate at superhero can have in my book, so that's why I think batman would fit in well on the indigo tribe, but if I had to absolutely choose one of those two I would choose blue since Hope is literally Batman's core element.
What about the life lanterns, they have the entire emotional spectrum and I think it’s safe to say Batman has on hundreds of occasions shown to be a good fit for any lantern
@@ashtongiertz8728 yeah, but arguably Batman is more so because not only is Gotham way worse than Metropolis, but he's just a dude. Just a regular dude. No powers or anything.
Scarecrow is pretty obvious. In fact, I think the only way to really have a debate about what lantern core he should be a part of would be to say, for whatever reason, Sinestro has banned him from joining the Sinestro Corp. So what would be his runner-up group? Personally, I’d say red lanterns, since he can be quite vengeful from time to time, but in a strange way, you could argue willpower since his biggest fear is Batman, but he consistently antagonizes the Dark Knight.
I think if he didn't wear the Yellow Ring, he should use the opposite, the Green One, even makes sense considering he can't feel fear himself, that actually makes him the more powerful Green Lantern!
@@marlo176you're thinking of Batman the two times that the scarecrow got the ring he had to be intervened by others to get the ring off because he enjoyed the fear it allowed him to instill
You know, the rings usually refer to the person by their real name plus what planet they’re from. Bane and the Joker have unknown true identities while Ra’s has been established as a name he took up at some point. Would the rings reveal their true identities or, for the writer’s sake, would they just be referred to with their identities? I think it’d be funny to see a ring just say “Bane of Earth”.
Love the breakdowns and I didn't realize all of the different Lanterns. I only knew about 1/2 of them .... I gotta go to the next comic-con and pick up some new reading material :) That's what I love about your videos!!! Keep 'em coming 👍
So if Joker is a Black Lantern, Batman as his polar opposite could be White? I mean, Batman has a strict code of never killing, even to a frustrating amount... It would be fun seeing Batman wearing white, tho, lol
Makes sense, if he didn't had that deep hatred of everyone he wouldn't bother to destroy the lives of so many people who did nothing more than laugh in his general proximity
Yea I think Red Lantern is a good choice too. He’s not just purely money motivated, but motivated by that frustration he had with the world and himself all his life, although I wouldn’t want to just reduce him to “angry” so orange still fits better overall
I always think the all of your videos are my favorite, and this definitely meets that criteria! I 100% agree with all of your decisions, especially Harley, Clayface and my favorite Batman villain, Mr. Freeze. It would be a really interesting story if Darkseid or the Anti-Monitor, or another Galactic level threat somehow were to wipe out a huge portion of each lantern corps to a point where heroes and villains from Earth needed to get rings. I know at one point in the comics, the four most well-known earth lanterns received their own separate lantern rings; John was in Indigo, Kyle was in Blue, Guy was in Red, and Hal was in Yellow. Of course, Blackest Night also made a lot of the heroes black lanterns, and then changed into white lanterns later, as well as some of the characters received colored power rings like Lex Luthor as an orange lantern, Barry Allen as a blue lantern, Mera as a red lantern, the Atom as an indigo lantern, and Wonder Woman as a star sapphire, but I think, expanding that lantern theology to other heroes would be very interesting as well!
A really interesting idea. It would cause the lantern corps to become desperate. The powers would need to be wielded and they wouldn't necessarily have a choice on who gets what power on the emotional spectrum.
I am surprised you didn't think about putting Hugo Strange in the Green Lantern core. Yes he operates Arkham by fear of his experiments but the reason he does the experiments is to gather knowledge and understand criminal psychology from the most insane people in DC.
@@GusFling Nah, Firefly would totally be a Star Sapphire Corp for his love of fire, his actions are completely motivated by emotion, he even see the silhouette of women in the flames
Talia Al Ghul would be so interesting. I’m not 100% sure with her character development and pretty sure she died few times and reborn with the Lazard water. So maybe Death as well ? Considering her anger and devotion she has to lead the league of assassins. But I’m pretty sure she had some evolution as an anti hero too right ? Maybe green would fit her as well. She loves her family wants to protect them and is always willing to put on a good fight and come back better and stronger.
I actually feel like bane could wield both yellow and green rings. His will is staggering, but so is the fear he invokes in those around him, especially when the venom is running through his system. I’d imagine he’d create green constructs laced with yellow so that they bypass the no kill rule set on the green ring. Also, you could argue he gets a boost in fear when he juices up on venom.
I think Ras would be Black Lantern cause he has a connection to death, wanting to wipe out the evils of humanity and he’s been resurrected so many times.
i agree with u with harley but i feel like she could be a red lantern from all the silent suffering and abuse from joker, she could also be fear because she is scared to love after past relationships. And relationship trauma.
Been watching you for some time and got introduced to ur channel from ur sinister six vids and I’m definitely subscribing cause I love the content there’s so much u can do w dc and ur creative approach to vids can’t wait to see this channel grow keep up the great work
I'm totally agree with Joker being black lantern, but here's also a two interesting things: 1. In one of the comics we see Joker from another universe, where he became yellow lantern. Also recently was mentioned "Joker corps", probably referring to him. Maybe Joker got yellow ring and took the title of a leader from Sinestro. 2. In Injustice 2 Atrocitus in one of the intro before the fight says to Joker "I sense your rage, clown", which Joker replied with "Wow, you really get me". The big red also says during the clash with the Joker that he would make a perfect red lantern. Honestly I believe that Joker could make every lantern, even Star sapphire (He actually care for Harley, even if it doesn't look this way) with an exception of orange, blue and indigo (he's a nihilistic narcissist, he lacks empathy and doesn't care about such things as money, not to mention that he definitely has not any hope for the bright future or anything in particular)
You clearly don't know what you are talking about the indigo corps accept those who don't have compassion and the ring gives them their missing compassion.
I feel like if you got Bane at the right time in his life, he'd have made an amazing Green Lantern. Though I'm not sure if it was more than a 5-minute window between determination and corruption.
Honestly stumbled across this video and you pretty much had a lot of the ideas I would've had if I had to do this, you nailed it. Really, I think Joker being the Black Lantern of Death is very fitting for his character. If you put him in any of the corps, he already has a "ah ha" moment where he belongs elsewhere. I think Freeze definitely is a Hope Lantern as he has always had Hope for a cure. Bane is one that I personally would've thrown Rage on but Fear Yellow and or Dark Green fits more with how his actual character is. Really a great video, I look forward to seeing what next video you do. ❤
I think croc would be a better blue lantern. Most stories emphasized the hope he had to be treated with love and compassion, and that is what he lashes out for lacking.
4:19 I’d say a avarice for joker for sure! He NEEDS to hold center stage and gets jealous of anyone else takes it. Harley cat he’s Batman for him and he’s wildly angry because he didn’t think of it. He wants Batman all to himself, he wants all the money, he wants the notoriety, he wants everything under his power.
My thoughts and who would go where Scarecrow - Yellow... Well duh its in his name Bane - Honestly imo Red lantern fits him the best. While he does have the will to be a green lantern I feel like he bottles up his rage against the world to make him worthy of being a red lantern. Per the dark knight movies, he was a kid forced to serve his fathers sentence in dark pit. From there he climbed his way out and made a name for himself in fear but also an assassin and such. So overall I feel like he just wants to see the world at suffer for what he had to endure unjustly. Which makes him a perfect fit for the red lanterns. Joker - Death, I agree he has no real core besides death. Like Orange is maybe the best overall as he wants everyone to Batman to turn into him and see the "punchline" which is his major obsession but overall he likes to make people being scared of him and he is resilient regardless how many times Batman breaks him physically. So overall hes a perfect Orange lantern but also a perfect black lantern. Harley Quinn - So theres two Id go with Orange or Sapphire. Obviously she leans the best in Sapphire as she threw everything away for love aka the Joker but shes also greedy for his attention and affection. Riddler - Okay hear me out... While yes the Riddler does make a good Orange Lantern member I feel like he is best as a Indigo lantern. So my thing about him while he is petty and greedy. Overall he wants to help people get smarter just the way is more cynical. He believes people wont strive to be better or smarter unless they are pushed to be by something extreme. The Joker wants to reveal people are as crazy and evil as he is, where as the Riddler wants people to realize they can be better and smarter but wont unless they dont have a choice. So overall hes like the one dude from Saw. Ra's Al Ghul - Again here me out. While Ra's does rule out of fear he sees it as a necessity as Humans cant be left alone with free while. So we have two options Yellow or again Indigo. Personally I see him more as an Indigo person till we look at one certain series that shows more or less his true nature, Batman Beyond. In that show we saw him steal the body of his daughter and try to take the body of Bruce. As such his own fear of death was completely exposed to us, so Yellow lantern is where Id put him overall regardless how much he talks about wanting a better life/world. Clayface - .... Honestly he is a hard one. Imma look at him from backstory aspect, he is an actor. He wanted to keep looking young as possible to keep the attention on him. Now he is a monster and he wants a cure. Overall he is an orange lantern. While I do feel bad and I know there is still that little bit of Annie inside of him (character from Batman the animated series) how I dont feel like he is an Indigo member truly. Its more a fanfic of wanting his life to improve for the better. Killer Croc - In terms of Croc I feel like hes actually an Indigo member the best. He is forced to be a monster and lets himself be consumed by rage, hatred and the idea that he will never be normal or loved. But we've also been shown that he isnt simply a monster but a man with a condition forced by society to believe he is a monster and forced to become one. Sure it be cool for him to be a red lantern Id love it but I think a redemption arc showing that he isnt simply a beast in the shape of a man and high lighting the tragedy of his character fits him more when the deepest aspect of wanting a home and overall to be left alone. Poison Ivy - So we have two overall options here for her. Indigo and Sapphire. Personally I think shes better fitting for Indigo than Sapphire. While people ship her with Harley, her core concept isnt love but compassion. She is a very motherly character and when Harley was invented Ivy was there to be a mother or big sister type character for her to show her that the Joker doesnt care about her. From there since she has a strong connection, aka nature manipulation powers, she feels like it is her job to save the planet from humans. As such I feel like its less about her being a loving person given she doesnt ever typically have a romance characters besides the ship that sailed into being canon with Harley, her relationships have been more an ends justify the means like using Harvey or the kisses to enslave the minds of men. Penguin - ... I mean yeah hes an orange lantern. Two Face - While I understand him being in the ultra violate core, I just want to talk about him before I make place him into a core. Overall the backstory for two face is that as a boy, teen and man he was forced to shove down his anger towards everything till it became its own personality aka "Bad Harv" or later on as "Two Face" when Bad Harv finally became his own being. And I understand that Fairness is overall the main trait of Two Face I dont feel like he fits into violate as if we did that route it just show off that he is a very bitter and angry man trying to hang onto what morals that remains with him being a lawyer. We've actually seen a future where Harvey was freed of Bad Harv and of being Two face, via plastic surgery. All that remained of Harvey Dent that believe he was a monster and that he looked like a complete version of Two face aka his whole body was burned away by acid. As such I feel like he best fits the red lantern core. He is angry at the world, more importantly injustice and corruption but he also is a man of the law and believes in fair chance that comes with the law. As such he'd strive out to put more or less the fear of god into people with the chance of living for the crimes they have committed. Side note I also feel like he could be an yellow lantern just due to the coin flip aspect of the character. Mr. Freeze - ... I mean seriously do we need to talk about him? I mean out of everyone and I mean everyone he is a sapphire member. While I understand him being put in the Blue lantern core, he is by definition a sapphire member. His life is centered on solely saving his wife from her incurable disease. While he retains hope to save her, he is by far dominated by the love of his wife more than any hope to cure himself. He solely wants to save her no matter what he has to do. His love for her is so much I debate if he should honestly be an orange lantern. Also while I understand and know Sapphire is an all female group, I feel like his love for his wife could actually pull a ring to him. Otherwise I agree Hope is the second best core for him. Mad Hatter - Honestly hes an orange lantern. Dude wants to live in the world of Alice and is constantly trying to find someone to become Alice even to the point of mind controlling everyone to part take in his insanity. Like sure I understand the idea of him being redeemed but I dont think there he could understand it. Catwoman - Honestly her character is a bit hard to pin down on being any lantern. However I think the key aspects and cores she could be part of is Sapphire, Blue, Orange, and Indigo. Honestly I feel like her character is best described as either a Blue lantern or Indigo lantern. While she is greedy as a thief generally there have been reasons for it, such as the adrenaline rush of it, revenge, blackmail. Like her whole personality isnt simply that she is greedy just that stealing is the easiest and fastest way to get something done. From there I dont feel like she fits the Sapphire corps either, while she has felt love before it doesnt make up her character the same way it does for Harley Quinn or Mr. Freeze. This leaves Blue and Indigo. Personally I lean more to Indigo than blue. As she isnt a very hopeful character and similarly to Bruce looking at things from a negative lens but she is always there for when Bruce needs to be Bruce and let himself fall apart for a night. Hence why I feel shes best for the Indigo tribe. She is compassionate and wants the world to be a better place but shes not gonna go out of her way to be proactive about doing it instead she will do small acts of compassion that keep those who do be proactive to save from feeling alone. Hugo Strange - Honestly and originally I was gonna say Hugo makes better sense as an Orange Lantern but after thinking about it and what Ive seen of him as a person in games and shows, I agree he is best as a yellow lantern. He is greedy when put in the position of a doctor type role wanting to know everything about a persons mental state and what drives them but when given a role like warden of a prison he tends to instill fear in everyone so they dont break the rules. So overall I agree he is a yellow lantern just with Orange traits.
Ra's al Ghul could also be a Black Lantern because of the Lazarus pits. Mr. Freeze could mos def be a Star Sapphire. "Two-Face" Harvey Dent I see most with the Red Lantern Corps. Every else is really solid. Bane could also be a Red Lantern as well. "Catwoman" Selina Kyle could also potentially be a Sta Sapphire.
have two-face weilding two rings, the Red on his burnt side, the Green on his unburnt. it'd fit his theme perfect and look AMAZING that every construct'd be half and half each colour too
What's fun about the Lanterns is that they could also be the various D&D Paladin Oaths as well. Green Lanterns are likely Crown Paladins, Red Lanterns are Vengeance Paladins, Black Lanterns are likely Oathbrakers, and so on.
I’d say killer croc is in compassion tbh, yeah he eats people but not really cuz he wants to. There are many storylines where Batman talks to the real man under the scales and you just know
Also ivy would make a good star sapphire because of her whole thing of making people fall in love with her. Not sure if thats a power she still has though
Dead shot? I’m thinking he can range from orange, to Sapphire (his love for his daughter) to even Green. I feel like he’s a true man to his code, and will do whatever he can to finish his objective but that one might be more of a stretch lol.
As a HUGE Mr. Freeze fan, I definitely agree with Blue & Green, but I really believe that he deserves the Star Sapphire ring the most because all of his motivations & deeds all tie back to his love for Nora. His love fuels both his love & willpower
I like the idea of a red lantern killer croc but I think like clay face he could be a Indigo tribe ring because he never wanted to be a monster but society made him the monster he is, but killer croc as a red lantern is really metal, other then that tiny complaint this is a really good video.
@@constructking8850white is the opposite of black which is death. Idk why black was suggested because as far as I know black lanterns are dead. White being not just the opposite of black but also a combination of the other colors. Even in the video the guy said the joker can imaginatively fit any of them so I interpreted that as he can be all of them, hence white.
Here’s a few of Batman’s lesser known Rouges. Baby Doll: Either SS for her love for Croc, or Red for the rage she feels for being trapped in the body of a little girl. Victor Zsasz: Black, Zsasz is obsessed with murder & death, he sees everyone around him a zombies & wants to free them from their meaningless lives through death. Man-Bat: Depending on which version of him, Either Blue because he wants to find a cure for deafness, or Yellow because he wants to be the same kind of embodiment of fear as Batman.
I think Red for Baby Doll, definitely, she's angry at the world, for her condition, for losing her show, for not being able to find work, and the incident with Croc should be what would bring he Ring to her, her last straw
@@caranostalgico9249 IKR, Plus I can just imagine how equally comical & terrifying it would be to see her throw a tantrum like a toddler all while causing the same amount of property damage as an earthquake or Tsunami.
Some Lanterns have two rings for example Guy Gardner who was Red and Green. I could totally see Two Face with two rings because of his nature as a bipolar character with two very distinct personalities. And just like how you said with Killer Croc I just think Two Face would look dope with two different rings to fit his whole dual personality motif lol. Like you said Ultraviolet for Harvey and red for the Twoface side lol.
I think the orange or red ring would fit Bane better than the green or yellow. Orange because of his obsession with power and red because of his abomination to weakness and his destructive personality. As for the Joker, considering he's the most irredeemable criminal in Batman's rogues gallery, I think he should be one of the Indigo Lanterns, since it's made up entirely of the worst criminals in the universe who have been forcibly recruited to have compassion bruteforced into their beings to make them feel remorse and convert them into pacifists. Considering the whole history of the Joker in The White Knight, I can see great potential in an Indigo Joker. With him resisting being lobotomized by the indigo ring and becoming a sort of doctor and monster where the Joker emerges when the ring starts to discharge. The phantom ring would also be a good option for Joker to add to his insanity and unstable mind that reflects in the nature of the panthom ring
I like the ultra violet for Two Face. When you got up to first covering which cor he would be in my brain went into a duality of life and death, 50/50 but ultra violet is very intriguing and I'd love to see this actually get explored by DC
I'm reminded of during The Blackest Night Arc where Scarecrow was so void of emotion the Black Lanterns couldn't detect him. I know the Yellow Ring would suit him, but imagine if because of that emptiness of emotion at the time, he was later infused with all 7 emotions and became a White Lantern?
Hear me out, Bane gets pink/indigo/purple, whichever is compassion and stuff, my only reasoning is because in one of the comics, he goes back to his home land and out of compassion for his family and home, he stops mafia/gangs
Hot take I think specifically Arkham series riddler would be green because of the sheer willpower to put all those little trophies around. Also would fit his green question mark aesthetic
If Gentlemen Ghost was popular enough to be on the list, he would definitely be orange. Most of the time, he his alley motivated by greed and making his life (or unlife in this case) better.
The most interesting thing that I can think of for this question isn't any of Batman's villains, but Batman himself. Sure, there's the obvious of answer of giving him a green ring. He certainly has the willpower for it. However, I could just as easily if not even more easily see him with a yellow ring. Think about his tactics. he weaponizes fear just as much as Scarecrow, only instead of fear gas, he himself is the thing his enemies fear. Fighting Batman is terrifying, especially for random henchmen and thugs.
I thought Bane could also be a Red Lantern because he displays a lot of anger when he uses Venom and for his hatred towards Batman that was developed when he was in prison in the very beginning as a child. Killer Croc could also be Sinestro Corp due to distilling fear in others from his appearance. Catwoman could be Star Sapphire because of her secret crush for Batman (if it’s strong enough).
Also would love to see a vid of u taking different heroes from dc and giving them a marvel villain that would best fit in their rogues gallery for not only combat and how they can challenge the hero on a character level
Cat woman I would give a violet ring. I totally agree with your options for her but people can have multiple rings. Ras I could also see being in black or white. He’s best known for the Lazarus pit. He goes to great lengths to stay alive so his obsession with life could get him a white ring. But you could also argue that it would get him a black ring because in a way the person you were dies when you use the pit. And clay face I would say could also be a red lantern. He’s mad at the world for turning him into a monster. And that’s exactly what truly makes him a monster. It’s a common thing among multiple versions and multiple people who became clay face. That fits incredibly well thematically with the red lanterns and the rage would qualify clay face so there’s an in universe reason.
The Lantern Corps are my favorite thing about DC universe. Green Lantern is my nr. 1 favorite Superhero, specifically Hal Jorden, but John Stuart and Jessica Cruz are also very likable. I really hope we get a successful Grenen Lantern Movie series/TV Show.
Honestly there is an argument that Ra's Al Ghul being in the Black Lantern of Death since he is the leader of the secret assassin group that is largely associated with death. You can also be chosen to be a black lantern if you have died at some point which Ra's has done several times.
Honestly immediately when I thought of Bane I thought he would be perfect for the green lantern corps, In Knightfall the reason I dont think he could be a yellow lantern is because he doesnt obey fear or wish to strike fear into others rather its in spite of his fear of the bat as an icon that he becomes Bane, He becomes bane to destroy his fear because he's a naturally strong willed character. and joker I think (my opinion is based off of scott snyder and greg capullos death of the family and endgame) would have to be red lantern, sure hes an icon of death and sure hes got an obession with batman but that very story makes it entirely clear that love and rage are 2 sides of the same coin, it stresses though the importance of eyes as a tell to how someones feeling and how jokers eyes are an affixed small pinpoint hole contorted in constant rage. and Ras, as much as he does inspire fear thats not really what leads his people, its thier loyalty rather I think hes a perfect black lanter, constantly avoiding and scapegoating death whilst dealing it out all the same to others, nobody fears death quite like him and nobody threatens batman with that same power quite like him either.
Bats can fit a lot of corps, honestly. Green, Yellow, White, Blue... (The first three already having official stories tied to them, iirc) Would certainly be difficult to justify Orange, though.
I could see bane as a red lantern. He has that anger at Batman that could drive him to that level. And red lanterns are generally evil, but still will do good sometimes, exactly like bane
I feel like the Mad Matter works better as an orange lantern. At least going off his BTAS story. What drives him to villainy is his inability to accept the autonomy of Alice, and his obsession with a fantasy he’s created in his head. He wishes to own an Alice, own his fantasy, and he believes he deserves it. In a way he wants to collect and control the minds of others. It’s a less typical form of greed but I think it works
Bane I'd say he'd be better as a red lantern because his ultimate end goal is to let out his rage. That is why he broke the Batman's back because he wanted to unleash his hatred for Batman. sure he is very smart and tactical and patient but his primary motivation is his revenge. He grew up in a prison with a lot of resentment so I would think that as the years go by he would have learned to just plan out how he executes his rage better. Ra's al Ghul is is interesting yeah I agree he would fit really well as a yellow lantern or perhaps black lantern because he is ironically fearful of death and if granted the opportunity to gain power from death itself and become immortal that way instead of going into the Lazarus pit I believe he would choose it in a heart beat. Oh yeah and the league of assassins body count of very specific deaths being brought about on specific areas throughout the centuries he's been around I think he'd be in black but you did bring up VERY good points about him being in the yellow lantern corp. with clayface? which one matt hagan yeah he'd benefit from being in the indigo tribe. Basil Carlo I think is orange Two-face for me would depend on if he's operating on his Harvey dent persona or if he's acting as angry "big bad Harv" personality which makes up two face. the problem with the ultra violet corps is that it is very insincere about the fact that your darkest emotions already come from other lantern corps like rage greed fear death even will or love to a certain degree. To me big bad Harv(two-face) is red lantern or yellow OG Harvey Dent b/c he's gotta be in there somewhere is blue lantern because he was at one point the hope for cleaning up Gotham city's seedy underbelly of crooks. his flaw was his alternate personality that took over his mind. So maybe it would also be compassion ring to help bring him back out. IDK. I can see why you'd want to put freeze in green lantern corps but you forget that when he put Nora in Cryo stasis he stole his companies resources to do so. It was still an act of greed to go that far and take something that isn't yours to save the one you love. but like you I'd still put him in blue lantern corps because he does have a lot of hope in seeing his wife live healthy again For Mad hatter ok he come across a bit creepy I didn't consider that that would work to but you mentioned his addiction to finding a perfect girl is why I'd put him in the orange lantern corps. you could make a bit of an argument for star sapphire though it is a perverted kind of love but still a form of it. you can also say rage b/c when he gets rejected he acts so childish and will try to hurt his "Alice." that's it good video and I like it.
I think we all agree Scarecrow-Yellow, Croc-Red, Penguin/Riddler-Orange, Harley/Ivey-Indego are very spot on. I would say Mr. Freize would make a great Red Lanturn. While Freize did not choose specifically this life, his constant spiral for revenge against others and his inability to take accountability for his own actions propels him to anger.
Extra villains i would say, professor pyg is definitely yellow ring, I think I’d give hush and firefly an orange ring, maybe calendar man too, idrk know about him, and zsasz either a red ring or yellow
So here's one I've asked of fans: if there was a major reboot of the DC universe, and you got the chance to recreate the Emotional Spectrum and the various Lanterns, could you go through what changes you'd make? For my part, for instance, I'd replace Compassion with Curiosity. Compassion is close enough to Love in my mind to just be folded in with the Sapphires, and a group of semi-neutral, super-powered scholars sounds like an idea with some potential. And I honestly don't think Greed is an emotion that would be common enough with all species compared to Joy or Sorrow. And considering how common it is for different animals to be able to perceive different wavelengths, I would be open to making Infrared and Ultraviolet part of the standard lineup.
I think it would be an amazing and bizarre moment if a star sapphire ring, let loose from a recently deceased lantern, latched onto a just- as- confused- as- anybody- else Joker. "Wait, what? Look, I love the color, even if I'm not thrilled with the cut, but I think I need to reroll my stats!" And Two Face with two rings seems appropriate, if not sustainable. Like he gets caught in a feedback loop when a blue and red ring latch onto him at the same time.
I wonder if killer croc could be in indigo? he has sometime a miserstood life being trieted like a animal/monster driving by anger and has show compassion to some peupol like homeless personnes

And you didn't even get Killer Moth...hahaha!
Wielding red and blue at the same time? That would be really cool.
It’s a cool concept, worked for Razor!
That is perfect for two face/Harvey
Kinda funny to think about a lego Joker as a Star Sapphire. Definitely can see Freeze's
Harvey having two sounds sick
Two Face would be both a Blue Lantern of Hope and a Red Lantern of Rage.
Ra’s could definitely be a Black Lantern of Death.
I think Joker would be an Indigo Lantern of Compassion. As the Indigo Lanterns force people who have no compassion to have compassion.
Ra’s being a Black Lantern of Death would make sense if you consider that he defies death constantly with the Lazarus Pits but people who use the Pits return somewhat changed, like if death had seep into them too...
Don’t forget freeze he could obviously be a love
Literally came here to raise the Indigo Lantern Joker idea xD Since we have 3 Jokers now, it'd be a great idea imo to have one Joker go good permanently as an Indigo Lantern, being a mainline DC universe equivalent of the Jester.
Right? That’s one of the more obvious ones but bro said I’m thinking fear cause he has an army of assassins 😭
Mr. Freeze being a green lantern or a blue lantern makes the most sense, but I also see him being a star sapphire for his love to Nora
that's what I was thinking
I would argue that Mr freeze would most likely be a Star Sapphire because while yes he has a lot of Willpower and hope it all derives from his love for Nora and that love is overall what drives him.
Star saphire its not about love, its blind for love, Mrs Freeze do some logical things for love, thats why i think blue one would for better
I'm going to agree with you on Bane being Green. Not everyone who used Green was a hero, look at Sinestro before he went Yellow. It's about being able to have the will and being able to over come fear and Bane is that 100%
I feel like you can make an argument for croc being in another Lantern core because of how tragic his character is.
Honestly, that was probably the worst take I’ve heard from this guy. I feel like his reading of Croc was really shallow.
If he is red, it’s because he’d be angry about how his skin condition/mutation turned out and the hunger it instilled in him. A focus on the tragedy of red lanterns would’ve been more appropriate, but when he started talking about how cool it would be, it gave the impression that’s as far as he thought, which I know isn’t true.
crocs charecter and history matches a lot more with blue
@@archertreloar4806im pretty sure he just wanted to say red because it would look fucking awesome
Amazing ideas there u need more likes

Scarecrow got a yellow ring once but rejected it because he thought it made scaring people too easy.

I really wanna see a Green Lantern Bane. That would be awesome.
Also I completely agree with you. Subscribed.
Hey thanks for the sub, and I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Killer Croc, for me, I would put him in the Ultraviolet core. The amount of shame, self pity and hatred he feels for the condition he has.
Agreed
Justice for the Croc
So if Joker is a Black Lantern, Batman as his polar opposite could be White? I mean, Batman has a strict code of never killing, even to a frustrating amount... It would be fun seeing Batman wearing white, tho, lol
In the blackest knight/brightest day event Bruce did get a white ring but it ultimately rejected him.
Bats can fit into a lot of corps, honestly.
There was a DLC costume in Batman: Arkham Origins of him as a White Lantern. It looked awesome and I used it the most out of the outfits in that game.
Just wanna say that you’re doing great content, thanks for that.

I think Joker would be the kind of guy to steal every Lantern ring for himself.
I love the vision. I love when DC fans or marvel comics fans do video like this exploring probability with characters from the same universe
I think Penguin could also be a Red Lantern as he is very angry at the whole as he was bullied his whole life
Makes sense, if he didn't had that deep hatred of everyone he wouldn't bother to destroy the lives of so many people who did nothing more than laugh in his general proximity
Yea I think Red Lantern is a good choice too. He’s not just purely money motivated, but motivated by that frustration he had with the world and himself all his life, although I wouldn’t want to just reduce him to “angry” so orange still fits better overall
This was such a cool idea! I would love for another video like this! Maybe Marvel villains in Lantern Corps or just more DC villains!
I always think the all of your videos are my favorite, and this definitely meets that criteria! I 100% agree with all of your decisions, especially Harley, Clayface and my favorite Batman villain, Mr. Freeze. It would be a really interesting story
if Darkseid or the Anti-Monitor, or another Galactic level threat somehow were to wipe out a huge portion of each lantern corps to a point where heroes and villains from Earth needed to get rings.
I actually think the Indigo Lanterns would be a better fit for Hugo
Wish you would’ve covered Killer Moth or Firefly but everything else was pretty good. Hope to see you do a version of this for Superman’s villains 🙏
Killer moth, I think could be greed or compassion since he just wants to make money, but he's just awful at super villainy.

Suprised bane wasn’t red lantern like he is almost always enraged
Talia Al Ghul would be so interesting. I’m not 100% sure with her character development and pretty sure she died few times and reborn with the Lazard water. So maybe Death as well ? Considering her anger and devotion she has to lead the league of assassins. But I’m pretty sure she had some evolution as an anti hero too right ? Maybe green would fit her as well. She loves her family wants to protect them and is always willing to put on a good fight and come back better and stronger.
excellent lighting. easy on the eye. good use
Ivys powers inspire lust so that also fits violet
Not at all the same company, but a Red Lantern Juggernaut would be a sight to behold
I think Ras would be Black Lantern cause he has a connection to death, wanting to wipe out the evils of humanity and he’s been resurrected so many times.
I sure wonder what Scarecrow's ring would've been

I'm totally agree with Joker being black lantern, but here's also a two interesting things:
@@gageadams5469 okay
4:09 Netflix whenever they have to make a documentary about a historical figure.
Ok that killed me 😂
4:19 I’d say a avarice for joker for sure! He NEEDS to hold center stage and gets jealous of anyone else takes it.
Harley cat he’s Batman for him and he’s wildly angry because he didn’t think of it.
He wants Batman all to himself, he wants all the money, he wants the notoriety, he wants everything under his power.
My thoughts and who would go where
Scarecrow - Yellow... Well duh its in his name
Bane - Honestly imo Red lantern fits him the best.
10:11 red ring of rage AND the compassion ring at the same time.
I think Due to Catwoman's on and off love for Batman, she deserves a Star Sapphire Ring.
Kinda obvious, but I think scarecrow would be a yellow lantern
Personally i'd say Clayface is either Indigo or Blue
have two-face weilding two rings, the Red on his burnt side, the Green on his unburnt. it'd fit his theme perfect and look AMAZING that every construct'd be half and half each colour too
What's fun about the Lanterns is that they could also be the various D&D Paladin Oaths as well. Green Lanterns are likely Crown Paladins, Red Lanterns are Vengeance Paladins, Black Lanterns are likely Oathbrakers, and so on.
I’d say killer croc is in compassion tbh, yeah he eats people but not really cuz he wants to. There are many storylines where Batman talks to the real man under the scales and you just know
Eating peoples wether you want to or not is not compassionate 😂😂😂

I completely agree with bane being a green lantern.
We've seen it before but I would love to see more of Yellow Lantern Scarecrow. It's such a deadly combination
Condiment king: relish will, mustard fear, & catchup rage.
Would you consider doing the inverse of this? The bat Family in lantern corps.
Definitely 👍🏼
I like the ultra violet for Two Face. When you got up to first covering which cor he would be in my brain went into a duality of life and death, 50/50 but ultra violet is very intriguing and I'd love to see this actually get explored by DC
Kite Man and black, not because he is chosen, but because he died and is being used as a puppet by another member, using a black ring
Great video idea
Hear me out, Bane gets pink/indigo/purple, whichever is compassion and stuff, my only reasoning is because in one of the comics, he goes back to his home land and out of compassion for his family and home, he stops mafia/gangs
Also green? He has a drug addiction he can’t overcome and you give him willpower?
Scarecrow was actually an emergency yellow lantern during the blackest night event

- Ratcatcher (Yellow)
-Great White Shark (Yellow, Orange, Red and Indigo)
Fun fact: Scarecrow actually did have a yellow ring for a bit during the Blackest Night arc
Don’t forget, scarecrow was deputized into the yellow lantern core once during Blackest Night
I mean, given that Scarecrow was a Yellow Lantern during the Darkest Night Event, I feel like that was pretty much hand given.
It would be very ironic for Raz a man who fears death to be a black lantern
Could you make a top of the most strangest or original lantern members on the Corps please?
Mad hatter could also be orange since he desires a perfect life for himself where he is control of everything
I love the idea of Catwoman being a blue lantern especially seeing as I believe Batman has a strong case for being a red one.
Bats can fit a lot of corps, honestly.
Green, Yellow, White, Blue... (The first three already having official stories tied to them, iirc)
Would certainly be difficult to justify Orange, though.
@@GmNdWtchr96 orange is probably the only one I’d say he’d never be in.
Basil Carlo I think is orange
Two-face for me would depend on if he's operating on his Harvey dent persona or if he's acting as angry "big bad Harv" personality which makes up two face. the problem with the ultra violet corps is that it is very insincere about the fact that your darkest emotions already come from other lantern corps like rage greed fear death even will or love to a certain degree.
It was still an act of greed to go that far and take something that isn't yours to save the one you love. but like you I'd still put him in blue lantern corps because he does have a lot of hope in seeing his wife live healthy again
For Mad hatter ok he come across a bit creepy I didn't consider that that would work to but you mentioned his addiction to finding a perfect girl is why I'd put him in the orange lantern corps. you could make a bit of an argument for star sapphire though it is a perverted kind of love but still a form of it. you can also say rage b/c when he gets rejected he acts so childish and will try to hurt his "Alice." that's it good video and I like it.
Ra's Al Ghul could also be in the Black Lantern Corp, because of the Lazarus pit.
8:16 I would argue that he's either a Yellow or Ultraviolet wearer. Ultraviolet = Shame. There's a sadness about Waylon.
i feel like two face would be like razer, his left with rage or fear and his right with green or blue
I think it would be an amazing and bizarre moment if a star sapphire ring, let loose from a recently deceased lantern, latched onto a just- as- confused- as- anybody- else Joker.
"Wait, what? Look, I love the color, even if I'm not thrilled with the cut, but I think I need to reroll my stats!"
And Two Face with two rings seems appropriate, if not sustainable. Like he gets caught in a feedback loop when a blue and red ring latch onto him at the same time.
I wonder if killer croc could be in indigo? he has sometime a miserstood life being trieted like a animal/monster driving by anger and has show compassion to some peupol like homeless personnes
