Cryope that or "I am vengeance, I am the night, let those who wear this ring join the fight, make adam west proud tonight, beware our power! WE ARE THE DARK KNIGHTS!" this took me 2 hours O_O
"Batman has very little in the way of empathy." Uh... Which Batman have YOU been following? Batman is intensely empathetic. That's why he doesn't kill, and instead tries to treat and help a majority of the villains he fights. Someone who isn't empathetic wouldn't try to better the lives of people who have tried to kill them in the past, but we see that he does with characters like Harley, Harvey, and Dr. Freeze. He relates to them, sympathizes with them, and wants them to recover. While he does see some people as beyond hope (Joker), that isn't the same as lacking empathy. He also regularly extends his resources to help others. He has taken in multiple children, not just as weapons (I want to say he has been against nearly every one of his children being Robin) but as a part of his family. Even kids like Jason Todd, who tried to steal from him. I think you confused Bruce Wayne for Lyle Bolton.
Also even if he didn’t actually more of a reason as if I’m remembering correctly their original reason of the indigo rings was to help those who don’t have much compassion have compassion one who had a potential but didn’t have compassion
He’d be a white lantern: Life: will not kill Empathy: attempts to help the joker Mercy: trains those who’ve wronged him Love: Alfred, his children Greed: his vice is information and contingencies Rage, will, fear: he’s the Batman.
id say will he was drugged had no sleep for days put in a straight jackect while being restrain by chains and buried multiple feet underground and he still refused to die
@@kwewee No, Superman doesn't instill that much fear as Batman, tho he makes criminals get back from crimes, but he doesn't scare them that much, plus he is not greedy, same goes for other heroes.
@@markharbath31X9 of course, I am talking about the main universe. Although, Superman in injustice universe is closer to rage than fear, but that still works. Sinestro threw a fear ring to Superman during his fight with Guy Gardner if I remember correctly. Superman used the fear ring to kill Guy. So, yeah. You are correct. That was in the very first injustice comics.
Batman's entire core is compassion. Sure, he uses fear to his advantage, he's full of rage, etc. but what really defines him as a person at the end of the day is his desire to protect and save lives. Granted, as others have stated, the indigo ring doesn't really work like this, but it still warrants mentioning.
Not really . True I think he might inspire Hope in some. I truly believe he doesn’t do it for all I mean sure this dude stops the joker but not before he slaughters hundreds if not thousands with his next plan and Batman won’t kill (I don’t want to open THAT can of worms ) So to them this man will beat, interrogate, and lock them up every single time and let the most evil man live would that inspired Hope to you ?.
@@adrianawilliams4810 yes he would be a symbol of hope to people of Gotham 👀…. You can’t simply kill a person with followers like the joker while they still listen to him and not expect WAR 🙄…..IN DARKEST NIGHTS AND IN DARKEST HOURS BATMAN DOES SHINE HOPE TO THE PEOPLE OF GOTHAM 👀……. Well my question is have you ever lived in a CORRUPT CITY WERE MURDERS HAVE FOLLOWERS🙄
Batman is all of them hence white. To just say he can't be white simply because of his dark costume is silly. He takes advantage of anything he can get his hands on to finish the mission. He would sacrifice his dark color for the entire spectrum of powers. Oh and he is filled with compassion. In order to not only refuse to kill but actually save bad people from getting killed means you have enough compassion for their families. Remember the one time he explained saving some bad guys to one of his Robins? The bad guy's family would be affected? The only way you'd get that concern is through compassion. Plus he does have love for all the people and Gotham and Earth, etc... or he wouldn't do what he does. He might say it is vengeance for what happened to his parents but really it it his compassion for others and he tries to stop bad things from ever happening in the first place. Hence why the vengeance ring wouldn't work, because it is a reactive emotion, not a proactive one. It isn't for protection it is for after punishing a wrong that already took place. Now Batman does go after criminals who already did bad things, but that isn't his only motive. His hope that he can prevent things from going wrong makes the red ring of rage a bad fit. Will again is great for him except for being beholden to the Guardians and Fear again is filled with people who have fear in their hearts and so are too cowardly to wear the green ring. Batman uses all the emotions. He uses Vengeful Rage, he intimidates through Fear, and his Will is legendary (very hard to take control of his mind). He Loves his family and friends and the people he has sacrificed his life for. He has compassion for people even if they don't deserve it. Do you remember Ace's death or the countless times he saved bad people from getting killed? He keeps going via his strong sense of Hope that what he does saves lives. He does have Greed in that he wants control over as much as he can around him. Control can be "material" item as it can manifest in so many ways. He desires full control over his life and he even pushes for control over those he brings into his Batman Core. So in other words, he embodies all the other rings and can very easily wear the white. It would be the best fit and the only one he'd accept for anything other than a temporary advantage. For it would fuel his righteousness and it isn't controlled by anybody else so he can use it as he sees fit.
that video doesn't even make sense yes he feels anger but he cares about justice, criminals fear him but fear isn't his main weapon of choice he wants to give normal people hope, he feels fear of failure like anything that isn't immortal and invincible, also i think the ring should be able to understand the being on a much deeper level than this shit ''fear, because he scares criminals'' that's simply retarded are you brain dead people, every superhero should either fall in the ring of will or hope, they all have anger and fear and shit but the main reason that they are heroes is because they overcome difficulties with their will and don't lose the path of a hero because they have hope of a better world, batman either falls in will or hope and since he never kills a criminal even if there is 99% chance that this criminal might kill many other people batman still takes the chance that he or she will change for the better... sounds to me like someone needs inncredible amount of hope in order to do something like this it's insanity if you think about it, what a stupid video and people like srsly... batman is obviously like OBVIOUSLY with the ring of hope
TheOne But fear IS Batman's weapon, he uses it to gain info as you always see him interrogating criminals with ONE WORD. This is one of the reasons Batman took Dick, so Dick wouldn't become like him, always avenging his parents. But since Wayne took dick, he has accepted his parents death and is more filled with hope and will.
Batman had enough willpower to reject Sinestro Corp ring when it tryed teleport him to Qward but it relased and continued to search new Sinestro Corp recruit
I always believed green and blue Green \ willpower : he's survived everything Gotham has thrown at him whether it be physical or mental Blue \ hope : he is a strong role model for kids showing that anyone can be a hero if they know what they're fighting for and I'm pretty sure most people felt inspired at Batman's lessons as a child
Fear imo is the best one for him. But as you said he doesn't kill & wouldn't align himself with Sinestro. Maybe an alternate Batman who takes Ra's offer & leads the league of assassins with Talia & becomes a Yellow Lantern in the process. That would be awesome to watch.
I imagine an armored black suit with glowing red seams and glowing red eyes. Imagine some street rat thug looking at that down a dark alley way. He'd wet himself right there, I'm sure.
Batman is known for having a lot of compassion. Some of the reasons you gave for hope and love actually describe his high amount of compassion. If he were in indigo be would be able to use any other rings powers. Only problem is current indigo lanterns are former criminals being kinda mind controlled. Whether or not it would have the same effect on Batman, i dont know, but I'd like to believe that its possible for anyone that feels a lot of compassion to become an indigo lantern without mind control.
Well Ray Palmer was chosen for having too much compassion unlike most other indigo members who are chosen for not having compassion Sooo yeah it's plausible for him to be chosen for having too much compassion
Actually Batman should be a white lantern cause he embodies so many of the other emotions and his refusal to kill anyone. No matter what they have done.
Actually greed can be for power. Have you seen how he builds contingencies to defeat the justice league, how he builds gadgets for himself so he can fight the criminals. He wants the power to stop the criminals, he doesn't want the cops who he could arm to have that power, he wants his contingencies so he's the most powerful of the justice league since he can defeat all the others. When he's incapable of defeating a foe with his normal suit he builds bat armor. He wants the power to face and defeat any foe at any time.
wolvesleather That doesn't seem like greed to me. He has plans to defeat the JL if the go Rouge *including* himself so that's just a safety measure. He could arm the cops but I'm pretty sure he'd rather not let them get in harms way, when he could do it all himself because of the skills he has that they don't, that's more like self sacrifice not greed. And of course he'd need to build a bat armor to defeat stronger foes, he's just a regular human there's no way he can take those kind of foes with his regular suit especially the super powered villains. That's the only bit of his greed for power that I can see.
He has skills, but can't he train the cops to have those skills? If he created his contingency plan couldn't he simply counteract it? He has intelligence and resources, couldn't he simply retrofit Arkham Asylum to keep criminals from escaping once they've been caught? It's cause he doesn't want to lose the power of saying, "I am Batman", he wants the power to defeat every new plan his opponents come up with.
False this was already debunked in the the Brightest Day comic. When the white lantern was form Dead Man had to pick a white lantern and his first choice was Batman and he was wrong
The blue core/hope fits Bruce Wayne/Batman the most. My reason is simple, in almost every adaptation of justice league batman is the only person to keep pressing on. His parents died and he fights on, dick Grayson dies and he fights on, Jason Todd died and he fought on and even in the cannon versions where Damian dies HE FIGHTS ON. If there was a ring for persistence then batman would have been gifted the ring long ago. However, the reason people can be persistent in some areas is that they have hope, and Batman NEVER loses the hope that he can save a life. Batman would give everything and has given everything for the hope that he can save one more life. Therefore unless there is a ring for persistence then hope/blue is your best bet. Wonder what color persistence would take.... silver? Although persistence and will may seem like the same thing and probably are I'm sure you can separate the two.
Christian Emerson Grayson* and you are wrong. Grayson died and was brought back by flashpoint. There is also the injustice series where Grayson dies as well.
He’s more of a Red,Yellow, and Purple to me... Yellow:He is feared most of the time.. Red:Rage for his parents being dead Purple:Yet he still has the chance to kill everyone he catches... he does not take it...
Funny the top 3 rings Batman used the most is 1. Will(used the most out of all) 2. Fear(He literally has one in the cave just in case green lanterns go wild) and 3. Death(in the recent stories). Personally I believe this makes the most sense cause Bats has more will than most. Brings fear to most including demons. And is a total nialist when evil causeing death like the Grim Reaper himself
I just have one thing to add, indigo lanterns are chosen by their lack of compassion. Their ring changes them and makes them feel compassion. There is only one case that I know of where a ring was given to a person based on how compassionate they were and that person was Ray Palmer during the blackest night event.
Zicco Fernandes Not always. It takes over the wearer, and forces them to only feel compassion, if they fight it. However, if you accept the Ring, like the Atom did in the Blackest Night story, then you are in complete control of your actions.
Truthfully I feel like Batman could fit into any of the cores other than Avarice. He has an extremely powerful Will, uses Fear as a weapon, has Hope for the future despite everything that happens which is why he hasn't just given up on the world, has compassion towards the good people of Gotham sacrificing himself for them multiple times, and loves the family he's made (though he doesn't show it). Life and Death are confusing to find examples of why he would fit, but if he died then he would fit the Black lantern and I feel like he could wield the Life ring if it chose him. The only thing Batman isn't in some way is greedy. Yeah though Red does fit him the most
I think Batman's power of will is the strongest of his. He wants to kill the Joker, and other many criminals, but he undestands that if he goes down that path, he will never come back. That's why he battles but doesn't kill, even if he wants to. He will be the best ever Green Lantern 👌🏻👌🏻
i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/507/371/fb8.png Overpowered: Because giving the goddamn Batman a superpower that is based on intelligence, willpower, and imagination seemed like a good idea at the time.
I think taking in orphans and adopting them is pretty compassionate. I know it’s not from the comics but the episode where ace of the royal flush gang died in the justice league cartoon, batman showed a lot of compassion, so batman isn’t too closed off to the emotion of compassion. I do agree he wouldn’t be suitable for an indigo ring though.
Could argue that due to batman's parents death this results in batman becoming a black lantern because the core of batman is based on his failure to stop there deaths.
I’d say he should be in the Lantern Corps of Life cause like he said, the Lantern Corps of Life is the embodiment of all the emotions together. Compassion - Batman has compassion for Alfred and in the Killing Joke, instead of beating joker up in the end, Batman offers to help and rehabilitate the Joker. Love - Batman has love for Selina, Dick Grayson, Talia, and Alfred. Hope - Batman’s greatest weapon is that he never gives up, no matter and fight or situation he is in. Also he doesn’t kill because he has hope that any criminal has a chance to redeem themselves and be rehabilitated, and that no one is beyond redemption. Will - Batman has great will power within him and he has worn a Green Lantern Core Ring Several times. Fear - Batman has the ability to install great gear into criminals. Avarice - ... well he basically has everything. Rage - Batman is vengeance.
I would believe compassion and rage would have been some of the best fits for Batman. Compassion because he has compassion for justice and his outright competitiveness to defeat his enemies is a form of compassion. That is seen through every athlete, to beat the opposing team means you have to want it. He also uses rage from seeing the injustice of the enemies and trying to tilt that balance back. He uses that rage to serve his fellow man.
The Indigo Lanterns were created by Abin Sur because he wanted to rehabilitate sadistic criminals, as the rings force the wearers to feel empathy that they lack as a means of teaching it to them. To suggest Alfred would belong to the Indigo Tribe shows a complete misunderstanding of what the Indigo Tribe is. Admittedly when the rings selected deputies during the Blackest Night, the Atom (Ray Palmer) was selected however this is the only known instance of a ring seeking out their bearer as opposed to being forced upon them.
Dowse no one said anything about alfred taking on the indigo ring. no one. this video is about batman. did you even watch the right video, or are you randomly commenting on videos?
PantherKing 13 he was already in a lantern corpse. If you read the comics you would know this and that's not how the yellow lanterns work. Just because others feel you doesn't mean your ring will get powered. You have to fear for it to work
I Personally would have Batman in The Blue Lantern Corp of Hope as he Brings Hope to the Innocent People of Gotham and Shows they can have Hope still in Such a Corrupt City, Batman always Has Hope which is a Good Thing, and I Think Fear would be Pretty good for Batman aswell because He Brings Fear to the Criminals of Gotham and the Villians he Faces, Rage Would be Pretty good for Batman aswell due to his Anger from what Happened with His parents and he was in Rage and Batman is all about Vengeance just like his Iconic Catchphrase "I AM VENGEANCE, I AM THE NIGHT, I AM BATMAN!" If there was a Lantern Corp that Embraced Hope, Fear, and Rage all Into One would be Perfect. But Since we can Always Choose one, He should be in Rage.
The problem is that the Fear Corps is led by a mass murderer and dictator who hates all heroes, and who has instantly rejected Batman before due to him wearing a green ring. But even if Sinestro let Batman in, Bruce would outright refuse to serve him or the Red Lanterns.
Wasn't Batman a White Lantern for a very brief second when the White Lantern corp was revealed? I remember the ring jumped to him for a split second but it had to fly away almost immediately.
At one point he became a black lantern among everyone else since they all died in the darkest night. This happened when in the green lantern comic the darkest night
Green and Red would be his motivation, he excessively knows how to cope with them. Yellow is his tool, but without killing can he become more fearful to his targets? His lack of power makes enemies underestimate him and when he beats them it bolsters his reputation and leaves other's minds to wonder of his capabilities. He would not prefer a ring at all or accept a ring from time to time to assist, most likely green or blue as those are his least distructive abundant qualities. Red requires a commitment that he would be unlikely desire to uphold. Though Green also requires a commitment as he would have uppers that are hard to ignore and the core functions like a police force or army, and he already doesn't like or do that. At best I see him either striking a deal as a part-timer for green or using green, blue, or maybe yellow to power a suit for emergency or off-world endeavors. Like another trick up his endless sleeve. But yes, Red and Yellow would excentuate him best as he is already abundant with will and nearly so with hope. He uses fear and his goal is vengeance/justice.

I knew from the moment I saw the title of the video. Red. The guy holds onto his rage and _hate_ and _never lets go_. That _one_ incident follows him for the rest of his life, and judging from his characterization, regardless of how infirm he becomes in his older years, he'd rather die fighting than let a hated enemy get away. He uses fear only because he's motivated by his anger. All the pain and depression he's felt only fed into making his hate stronger. His incredible composure is one of the only things keeping him from turning into an outright _berserker_. Beyond that, rage and willpower tend to go hand in hand. Almost nothing can push you further than pure, unbridled _fury_. Rage isn't evil. It's human. Characters like Batman are some of the best fictional examples of how it can be used _properly_.
Direfury but it a constant mix of vengeance and hope... if his iner hope is strong enough to make him for one NOT KILL the CRImaLs his vengeful against then I see no problem with him being blue... or even White bat man is such a round charcter he fits in to a lot if different emotions though most of the time hope and compassion are one the top or win out he does have fear rage like everyone but he always over powers it and become composed... so i think blue and white honestly bat man has huge rage but it isn't as big has his hope and compassion or sense of Justice bat man is justice not vengeance his comes to understand that to...
He's been a member of the Black lanterns before. Basing it on just Injustice alone is like ignoring the rest of the multi-verse. Anyways, the Darkest Night story arc is where this question can be answered for quite a few characters.
I believe he is in hope. He gives hope to everyone I'm gotham that there is someone out there putting criminals away and striving to protect them. It also has been said that batman gives hope for a new day. So, in my opinion, he is in hope.
Naw, his Corps should be the MARTHA Corps, a shit-colored ring with the caption "Why did you say that name". It's a perfect fit because it gives him the will of vengeance, and the fear of losing more loved ones would be too much. And it doesn't concede with killing too, because when Superman said it, Batman instantly had the hope to stop.
I think Batman would use the blue lantern ring of hope: 1. He never gives up in a fight, or on his enemy being redeemed 2. Every time he fought alongside Hal, both of them would be supercharged. 3. I think Batman is more of a figure of hope in injustice, and even if not, I believe he wouldn’t let it stop him. 4. It’s only villains who fear him, he gives hope to those who are innocent.
I think the idea that he would work with Sinestro that being said he runs the justice league pretty well. I think any world he became a lantern he could also take over the leadership.
I still see the old animated universe batman as my batman, so saying batman is not compassionate kind of rings hollow for me. Watch the Justice League Unlimited episode "Epilogue" to get where I'm coming from.
In many interpretations, Batman embodies hope as well. The bat symbol is all about inspiring fear on criminals, but inspiring hope in the citizens of Gotham. It's like both of them.
Personally, even if vengeance is driving Bruce, I think he should wield the Blue Lantern ring. The best part of being a hero is hoping for a better future. Like what Robin says to Raven at the end of Teen Titans, even someone capable of great evil can be a hero if they hold on to hope. Batman may not wear his emotions on his sleeve, but he does hold hope close to his heart. And to contradict what he says at the end of the Blue Lantern Corps. chapter in this video, just because someone doesn't look like a "symbol of hope" doesn't mean they can't be. It's the old adage of don't judge a book by its cover.
I am going to go with hope because of all the criminals he fought even the one who killed his parents he still doesn't kill doesn't give up and still thinks they can redeem there self's
I thought hope because he would never side with mass murderers and is a symbol of hope to the non-criminals of gotham. Injustice Batman would certainly be hope because he represents the idea of a world free of superman's tyranny and hope that superman can be stopped.
No, hope really isn't Batman's thing...Batman doesn't inspire people, Batman scares people. Batman doesn't try to redeem anybody, he just wants to arrest everybody and send them to jail. Batman not killing has more to do with Batman's idea of right and wrong, and the fact that Batman is scared of himself, and that just makes Batman the more likely to be a bad guy...just not in ways that ends with killing. We only know he wont because he gets too many kicks out of being a jerk...I've seen plenty of Batman to know hes a jerk. Sure hes really a good guy, but giving that tough-guy exterior all the time is what makes anyone a jerk.
Potato Bro He blew up the League of shadow's mansion, killed Ra's Al Ghul by crashing the Wayne train, killed Two Face, killed several minions of Talia and tried to kill Bane... plus all the cops he almost killed with the batmo... the tumbler... ;)
He didn't kill Ras al Ghul, he just didn't save him. Small differencd, but it counts. Two Face's death I don't remember, but I think it was more of an accident. I think. The assasin-building was also not really killing, sincd he didn't do it to kill anyone (though he sure as hell didn't mind). Also, he wasn't Batman back then, so I don't think it can count. And no other deaths are ever confirmed, as far as I'm aware. It's never mentioned that he killed cops or henchman.
Hegolin He definitely does kill Two-Face, you could *probably* call his plan of "blowing up the assassin's building on top of them with gunpowder and explosives" just making a way for him to escape (although he was definitely going to kill his parents' killer, so blowing up all of the assassins was most likely on purpose), and he definitely killed at least 1-2 of Talia's henchmen in the Bat/Batwing and caused Talia's death (kind of like how he caused her father's death...) by killing her driver with a missile and causing her to run off the road into an underground area under the highway.
Batman is a Green Lantern, and he will always be a Green Lantern. His amount of Willpower is amazing. The only fear he has is turning evil. Every good person should have that fear. Keeps them from crossing that invisible line.
Yeah, their's a comic where Green Arrow wears a green ring and can barely make a construct because he's stubborn, not willful. i think compassion is a better fit.
I'd think Batman treasures his independence and unique identity, his independence most of all. I doubt he'd accept having to adopt a certain code (that is not his own), nor would he accept being an underling of greater powers. So even if there's a Lantern corps that wants him, would he want them? I don't think so.
as most agree in comments, batman's best match is Green Will Power and Yellow's Fear as these are both of Batman's strongest characteristics. He has abundant willpower as he's willing to take on any threat even if he has zero hope to win (i.e. fighting superman or other superpowered beings even when he doesn't have his gadgets or custom suits with him), so in other words he's fearless which is the perfect green lantern and is boosted by a blue lantern greatly due to his "there's always a way, there's always hope" mentality when fighting these super powered threats.. Then there's the fact that his main goal is strike fear in the hearts of villians, he's able to scare criminals and even superpowered villians in ways and more than even Sinestro and Parallax ever could, and he does this without a yellow ring.. so this fact alone would make him the one of the, if not the most powerful yellow ring wearer if he had one due to his natural ability to play with the minds of, uncover, tap, and manipulate people's fear. So since there are users of multiple rings, i think batman would get chosen by both a yellow and green ring.
The indigo tribe. Compassion stems from deep regret. Also the 'utility belt' tribe can, much like batman, embody each emotion as needed. Oh and he could force indigo rings on villains to make then regret their actions.
Batman is incredibly empathetic and is driven by a strong sense to alleviate suffering in the innocents. In some versions, he doesn't kill because he believes people at their core are redeemable. There is a strong argument for Batman being an indigo ring wearer I personally think he would be a better fit for the blue lantern corps because it has no side effects (loss of control or potential death) and there doesn't seem to be any rules like there are with the yellow or green corps. If these two didn't have such a rigid structure, I'd say he's better tuned to willpower than fear. There is nothing that can break Batman (permanently) and while he has an immense capacity to instill fear in his enemies, people who know him do not fear him and are instead inspired by his devotion and will. The red ring is definitely a good fit but not the best. Batman always chooses justice over vengeance and this has been put to the test over and over in many incarnations of the character. Blue ring, no doubt.
In the comics, Batman can't wear a Green Lantern ring because he have too much fear and he can't wear a Yellow Lantern ring because he have too much will power.
Batman is afraid of most things, wich is why he always plans for the worst, even when it comes to his closest friends, he would be perfect for the yellow ring
That's the only way the comics could justify the green lantern coming to earth and seeking out Hal instead of Bruce. The man eats, sleeps, and breathes willpower lol. There were fringe comics where batman wielded several rings but they were eventually de-canonized. I mean really though, Batman has the most will power of any human so theoretically he would be the most powerful wielder of the green lantern ring.. That's not much fun from a story telling stand point. They would much rather have multiple green lanterns that are similar in power through their own unique ways.
When I first saw I thought fear or love core. I didn't know that the fear core was so strict. Also don't know much about the cores but I'm guessing if u try to rebel against the leaders, the ring leaves you. But love core would suit him the best, he would get those extra bursts of power to help save civilians or kids as they would remind him of his hepless kid self.
I'd say Blue. Usually the entire theme surrounding Batman is one of grim hope inspite of the dark reality he lives in. He holds hope that he can fix Gotham. He holds hope that his enemies can be rehabilitated. He holds hope that the heroes of the universe will remain heroes. And most importantly: he inspires the hope of the Bat Family. Maybe he isn't the large scale symbol of justice, honor, and safety like Superman, but he is a very, very powerful symbol of hope. He is a parigon of hope, but only the strong willed look to him and see a path they can follow, like the Bat Family. Fear is a duelled edged blade. Think of the kishan in Soul Eater. He was the god of fear. Built from his own fear. In order to fully understand fear and weild it, you'd have to be full of fear, just like the other lantern powers. A wearer of the yellow ring would have to seek it's power because they are afraid of what they will be without it, a common villain trope btw. I have even heard that the purple rings will fill you with compassion and overwhelm you. The same is likely to be said for the red rings, although to a lesser degree. The red rings seem to take the rage that already exists within you and wipes away the other emotions, leaving you a vessel for revenge. Batman has dark motifs, but his story is [almost] always one of true justice, personal strength, and pure hope.
Totally agreed, the red lantern core just makes them look evil even tho some are and some aren’t and he also understands rage more than anyone else and if he was able to catch his parents’ murderer as a child, there is a pretty good chance he would kill the guy
Yellow fits exceedingly well because of his use of fear as a weapon but also because Batman is afraid of killing. He's afraid that if he kills once he'll no longer be able to control himself and that fear helps shape his character. That being said, Batman's most recognisable character trait is his willpower. This is a man who achieved 12 masters degrees and mastered every martial art known to man. This is a man whose refusal to kill stretches him to his limits. This is a man who goes on a nightly crusade to fight crime
Batman would be obviously a green lantern. 1.He never gave up thought years of training, learning and preparing himself to become a great hero; 2.He doesn't show any other strong emotion besides sadness, and that doesn't come with a ring.
Not really. Hope is also faith, believing that something greater than yourself is protecting the universe. Batman believes in himself and his friends, but he doesn't really have a great deal of faith in the unknown and unproven. His "hope" is really just another aspect of his willpower.
I dont think Batman would ever be under the control of any Corp. The ring of fear would be his, but he'd be the leader of his own corp which wouldn't consist of one ring power. It'd be a council of all the powers. He assembles powerful individuals to help further a great cause in everything he does, and he wouldn't allow himself to be at the mercy of the rules of others. Phenomenal breakdown on the video though.
4:49 you know, it’s a shame people don’t talk about the Lego Batman Movie and shrug it off because it’s a goofy animated comedy. Because it has the best exploration of Batman’s habit of pushing people away due to his own misguided fear of getting them hurt or losing them like his parents.
Blue would be perfect for Batman as a superhero. He is already OP as crap. So adding flight and a defensive barrier to his current way of doing things would be the most effective thing for him instead of relying on constructs to fight. It would allow him to fight strong enemies without being hurt, but he could still get in and fight them with martial arts. Therefore not changing his style and what makes him effective, but allowing him to fight straight up against anyone. It would be Batman with a heavy armor suit, but without the heavy armor, and with all of his mobility, even more because flight would be an additional option. Also as the video stated he never gives up hope. That is his one actual ability. He never stops believing that things can be made better, he never gives up trying to make it happen. And never believes an enemy can't be beat, no matter how powerful they seem. The good news for Batman is that hope isn't an emotion. If it was he may have trouble with it. But instead it is a belief or a desire to have something happen. And Batman has more belief that he can change the future for the better than just about anyone. He may make his enemies feel fear, but when you see him helping the Justice League vs powerful enemies, they aren't afraid of him. There is no fear being used as a tactic. It's a tool he has in his toolbox, but it isn't his greatest strength. His greatest strength is his hope. The belief that he will win, and that good will defeat evil. That is hope. Even when it seems like all hope is lost, it's not lost to him, ever. That is his greatest strength, not fear.
So, with everything I know and everything you've given, I think Batman would be more of a Guy Gardener type: weilding all rings and joining the ranks of White Lanterns. He's powered by fear, fights for vengeance, has hope that what he's doing can save the city and people he loves, is powered by hope and creates any gadgets he needs for any situation ever. He only doesn't feel greed because he's brilliant enough to fabricate anything he could want. As such, he is the master of all rings and could handle them all at once. White Lantern is the natural choice for this power.
Will-Fear Love-Rage Compassion-Greed Life-Death Hope-(nothing) Why is there no Despair ring the grey lanterns. In greyest day and greyest night despair will fill your sight for all that feel alright prepare yourself for despairs light.
An amazing story would be Batman joining the sinestro core and then taking the Core over

Darksigma 02 I'm reposting
He's said similar to that of Superman in terms of empathy, which is even absurd. I understand his logic but I still disagree.
And yet manages to neglect his own sons. Nuff said.
This is exactly what I thought.
You mean mr freeze
Also even if he didn’t actually more of a reason as if I’m remembering correctly their original reason of the indigo rings was to help those who don’t have much compassion have compassion one who had a potential but didn’t have compassion
He’d be a white lantern:
Life: will not kill
Empathy: attempts to help the joker
Mercy: trains those who’ve wronged him
Love: Alfred, his children
Greed: his vice is information and contingencies
Rage, will, fear: he’s the Batman.
You could say the same to all the heroes then
id say will he was drugged had no sleep for days put in a straight jackect while being restrain by chains and buried multiple feet underground and he still refused to die

Granted, as others have stated, the indigo ring doesn't really work like this, but it still warrants mentioning.

Yellow-Blue Lantern?
@@John-Stark so green?
In Young Justice, razor wore a red and a blue ring so it could be possible.

Batman was actually accepted into the Sinestro Corp then rejected seconds later when the ring realized he had wielded a Green Lantern ring before.
Chloe C what about Sinestro? He wore a green ring before he had created and worn the yellow ring

Blue \ hope : he is a strong role model for kids showing that anyone can be a hero if they know what they're fighting for and I'm pretty sure most people felt inspired at Batman's lessons as a child
Fear imo is the best one for him. But as you said he doesn't kill & wouldn't align himself with Sinestro. Maybe an alternate Batman who takes Ra's offer & leads the league of assassins with Talia & becomes a Yellow Lantern in the process. That would be awesome to watch.

Actually Batman should be a white lantern cause he embodies so many of the other emotions and his refusal to kill anyone. No matter what they have done.
wolvesleather
What about greed? I haven't seen Bruce do anything greedy.
He wants the power to face and defeat any foe at any time.
wolvesleather
That doesn't seem like greed to me.

That would work. No one suspects a gold ring in the hands of a billionaire afterall
RAYNE No the color is black dark blue and sometimes very dark gray
I'm ok with this
Imagine a ring with a red band and a yellow core.
Meaning vengeance is the base of his beliefs, while fear is the means to his ends.
Maxdrei Miller thats what he says
jdniff doesn't his persistence fit more with willpower? Lol
jdniff Grason is Nightwing. He never died.

He’s more of a Red,Yellow, and Purple to me...
Yellow:He is feared most of the time..
Red:Rage for his parents being dead
Purple:Yet he still has the chance to kill everyone he catches... he does not take it...

Team VLCN yeah that's true, for example in the recent phantom ring green lantern story arc the ring owner was forced to only feel compassion
Zicco Fernandes f
Those two pages were the best comics I've ever read. "Barry Allan, you inspire great hope" and then he's a fucking BLUE LANTERN 🔥
Pablo Rivoira Biani i think yellow fear or green will or hope

I think taking in orphans and adopting them is pretty compassionate. I know it’s not from the comics but the episode where ace of the royal flush gang died in the justice league cartoon, batman showed a lot of compassion, so batman isn’t too closed off to the emotion of compassion. I do agree he wouldn’t be suitable for an indigo ring though.
Could argue that due to batman's parents death this results in batman becoming a black lantern because the core of batman is based on his failure to stop there deaths.
oliver cann actually it's to prevent anyone else from suffering like he did. It's more hope and mercy than we realize

Batman would create a new lantern core that embodies Justice.
Silphaer its gonna be gray right??
Yep. Probably dark grey.
Silphaer really really dark gray.
The ring couldn't be seen with the naked eye...Because justice is blind.
MrdotIsaac Ba dum tsss.
Red:his parents death
Blue:he always promises others that everything will be ok and it usually is
Yellow: he is very feared...even by superman himself

CharrLegion white and green
SideswipeHolic nope,he died to darksied’s omega beams
Batman is too powerful to wear any lantern ring. His, will, rage, fear, love and hope is beyond those who wears the rings. XD

Naw, his Corps should be the MARTHA Corps, a shit-colored ring with the caption "Why did you say that name".

I think Batman would use the blue lantern ring of hope:
1. He never gives up in a fight, or on his enemy being redeemed
Couldnt he even kill Sinestro
I still see the old animated universe batman as my batman, so saying batman is not compassionate kind of rings hollow for me. Watch the Justice League Unlimited episode "Epilogue" to get where I'm coming from.
Well, that's not the comic book version of him.
In many interpretations, Batman embodies hope as well. The bat symbol is all about inspiring fear on criminals, but inspiring hope in the citizens of Gotham. It's like both of them.

Mostly Gaming he should he has more will thwn Hal
BlueVortex01 batman has both willpower and fear he should have a hybrid green and yellow lantern ring
actually, he should be in the bat lantern core
Exactly someone gets it mostly gaming
I am a BATMAN FAN this was an awesome video and quite interesting nice work!
That's kinda superman's role.
Assasin73 he has killed before
I thought hope because he would never side with mass murderers and is a symbol of hope to the non-criminals of gotham.
0:47 Yeah about that, *Batman kills in every movie he's in...*
even in the Nolan trilogy...
The Spectacular Batman when did he kill in the nolan
Bane I don't remember, but since you wrote "tried" i guess i don't need to look it up. So, in total, maybe Two Face. Thats all in the Nolan trilogy.
I think the red lanterns would be perfect for Batman because he is Vengeance, he is the Night, he is Batman.
Sparks Legends red is rage to be a red lantern you need lots of hate
Batman does have a lot of hate
Yes, but his rage is HIGHLY controlled...Red Lanterns are not that.
Sparks Legends batsman is very chill and red lantern is rage. He wants to kill but tries to stay calm
True, but he has a lot of rage stored inside wenting to be let out.
Yellow lantern Obviously! Fear is his greatest weapon.
i think the perfect ring for him would be green lantern cause of his will power
Do Which lantern fits for the whole justice league
XFACTOR 1
Superman:blue
Flash:Blue
Wonder Woman:Star Saphire
Martian Manhunter: Blue
Cyborg:Blue
Aquaman (modern):Red
Aquaman (classic):Blue
Green Arrow:Green
read blackest night
+Spider Doctor why did you differentiate between Aquamen when they both get Red?
Spider Doctor Nah Green Arrow would be purple.
Yeah, their's a comic where Green Arrow wears a green ring and can barely make a construct because he's stubborn, not willful. i think compassion is a better fit.
He refused lanterns already
He refused because it was an yellow ring... he would be enemy of all Justice League and Hal too.
Kinda surprising how the video pulled from Lego material but didn't reference the time a yellow ring chose him
I'd think Batman treasures his independence and unique identity, his independence most of all. I doubt he'd accept having to adopt a certain code (that is not his own), nor would he accept being an underling of greater powers. So even if there's a Lantern corps that wants him, would he want them? I don't think so.
if it was the red lanterns then i believe he could be their leader and teach them what he knows about vengeance. Which means he would make the rules.
+Gendo ruwo He could always be the leader of the Bat Corps. XD
Batman is INCREDIBLY compassionate in several continuities, especially to younger people. Special mention to TAS's Baby Doll and JLU's Ace.
as most agree in comments, batman's best match is Green Will Power and Yellow's Fear as these are both of Batman's strongest characteristics.
There is a strong argument for Batman being an indigo ring wearer
I personally think he would be a better fit for the blue lantern corps because it has no side effects (loss of control or potential death) and there doesn't seem to be any rules like there are with the yellow or green corps.
Batman has too much fear? HAHAHAHA
it was that people were too afraid of him. He wasn't too afraid.
Mats Martensson "...self-deluded species."**
Bruce is either Compassion or Life the whole reason he became Batman was so no one else would go through what he did
Batman: I would never kill
*throws numerous explosives at enemy, tases them, fractures their jaw, then runs them over with his car*
"Except for Zack Snyder films"
You mean all Batman films except Batman and Robin
Dark knight trilogy...
Under the red hood...
Batman (1989)...
Freak you what about 1989 uncultured
yellow "i am fear, i am the nigh,t i am batman"
Actually it’s I am vengeance I am the night I am Batman!
Your stupid
Yellow fits exceedingly well because of his use of fear as a weapon but also because Batman is afraid of killing. He's afraid that if he kills once he'll no longer be able to control himself and that fear helps shape his character. That being said, Batman's most recognisable character trait is his willpower. This is a man who achieved 12 masters degrees and mastered every martial art known to man. This is a man whose refusal to kill stretches him to his limits. This is a man who goes on a nightly crusade to fight crime
Batman would be obviously a green lantern.
1.He never gave up thought years of training,learning and preparing himself to become a great hero;
2.He doesn't show any other strong emotion besides sadness, and that doesn't come with a ring.
Blue lantern cause he is always hopeful
I AGREE BLUE IS THE ANSWER BATMAN WOULD NEVER TAKE RED THE EMOTION OF RAGE WOULD CONTROL HIM
MY CAPS LOCK KEY IS BROKEN TOO
Not really. Hope is also faith, believing that something greater than yourself is protecting the universe. Batman believes in himself and his friends, but he doesn't really have a great deal of faith in the unknown and unproven. His "hope" is really just another aspect of his willpower.
4:57 No, now it’s snake clowns, because you put that idea in my head.
He is perfect for life Ring he can control all emotions
I'm w/ "CJ and Auntie Yaya" downstairs. Batman is totally a White Lantern.
He would be a white lantern, because he values life of even criminals.
Lil Dasani Aka yung air conditioner meaning he could use every emotion.
Lil Dasani Aka yung air conditioner No, because he doesn't belong with every emotion.
Lockjaw No...Black Lanterns are just rings that seek out the dead to fight for them.
he's not well-rounded in all the emotions,so he can't
Wrong. He actually doesn't value life at all. He's the most evil character in the DC universe.
Probably Yellow. Because his main advantage in combat is fear.
PhantomoftheInterwebz *Batman Is NOT OP*
Hope or rage
So, with everything I know and everything you've given, I think Batman would be more of a Guy Gardener type: weilding all rings and joining the ranks of White Lanterns. He's powered by fear, fights for vengeance, has hope that what he's doing can save the city and people he loves, is powered by hope and creates any gadgets he needs for any situation ever. He only doesn't feel greed because he's brilliant enough to fabricate anything he could want. As such, he is the master of all rings and could handle them all at once. White Lantern is the natural choice for this power.
Lex is a superhero now and is so an orange lantern!
Cameo Shadowness lex is an anti-hero, that one. Two, he is greedy.
William Côté Okay. I see your points.
How about plastic man for orange ring
Cameo Shadowness vandall savage would be a good orange
Booster Gold and his buddy BlueBeetle can also be orange Lanterns... plastic man could be one too...
Will-Fear Love-Rage Compassion-Greed Life-Death Hope-(nothing) Why is there no Despair ring the grey lanterns.
In greyest day and greyest night despair will fill your sight for all that feel alright prepare yourself for despairs light.
Batman actually was once a Sinestro corp member
Unless he's the dark multiverse version from the comics for green.
Isn’t Batman a sign of hope. I agree most with fear or hope and will but mostly hope
Rage, Fear, Death, and Love
I was thinking it would be the mercy ring
Im_notmarkus no such thing
