When people first invented basketball and soccer/football, people had fun. It was fun to play against each other. Overtime more variety of games became popular, and also competitive
Video game is the same. Its the game of our digital age, and it wont be long until it become the new sport.
Esport don't have to be sport, but it can be. Its a matter of perspective. But be careful about what you say. Do not give a opinion, if you know nothing about the topic. Go download a moba and play it yourself. Watch the annual tournaments. Everyone watched sports on TV before. We know what it's like. Yet some people, especially those who dislike gaming and esport, have never seen anything about it, but only imagining people sitting infront of a screen.

Interesting video... not a debate in our minds. If golf is a sport... or baseball (where players can be severely out of shape)... there's really no "athletic" argument to be made.
IN baseball, u run, u need to be in shape if u wish to beat the other team. In golf, u swing at a max of 25 miles per hour, which completely rotates ur back/spine and arm strength.

So they are comparing it to archery. And they are saying that the body movement in archery is limited to only your hands, the same as in Esports. Bullshit.
Anybody who has ever drawn a bow knows how much you need to use your back, and even legs to get a firm grip. Your whole body is important in archery.
And also. In archery it's extremely hard to hit your target. It takes a great concentration while you are constantly drawing your bow.
In Esports you are just moving the mouse cursor on your target and clicking. Not that impressive.
You are so dumb to say that. Why? Not because i like eSports but because you probably know this things because you tried it, you tried archery. But have you tried to play a hard video game like league of legends or dota 2? You need A LOT of muscle memory that does not involve your hands only, they involve your arms as a whole and your eye muscles, and your brain, because yes the brain is a muscle. And don't you compare the concentration you need in archery with the concentrations you need in one of those games. You know nothing about it but you think you are right. Well i'm telling you, a game like the ones listed above and many others is a lot harder then archery. You need to think a lot more and a lot faster in real time strategy games then archery or any other sport aside from chess maybe. I have a feeling you and people like you will still keep your opinion in most of the cases. But you can't understand if you don't want to i gusss.

Why, it requires as much if not more skill than traditional athletes. Your also forgetting the fact that gamers are now being considered as athletes.
If shooting and archery is considered as sports, I don't see why esports shouldn't be considered as sports as well. You need to be physically and mentally alert in all three of them to be the top player.
esports doesnt require as much physical requirment as a sport
archery in the olden days had to actual put the correct power and projectile to hit their target
Yeah in eSports you only need to remember to combos and etc but in archery you must know the way that you shoot the angle the power and the position of your body also if the target is in movement you need to know where it will go and wait to shoot at the right time
