I have made six boxed corner pouches with exposed seams and you have to finish them up either by zig-zag or on the serger. THAT pattern is going in my trash bin. YOUR method is wonderful! Thank you so much for this great tutorial. I am so pleased to have found you Marcela!

I have at last found it! Apart from your easy and smooth instructions, I love how easy it is to sew over all the layers between the zip and the tabs, with hardly any stress or sweat involved haha! Great video. I have watched several videos about box pouch sewing, because my simple un-lined and un-interfaced pouch for work needs an upgrade. Your tutorial seems to be the easiest to understand and to accomplish on your own. But I am still going to make 1 or 2 prototypes to get my desired proportions right and for practicing purposes.

Thank you 😊😊😊. Yes, you can make it larger, just add as much as you want to the length and width of the fabric. You might have to make the bottom bigger as well to keep the proportions. Practice with a piece of scrap fabric, as if it were the lining. Happy sewing 😊

Also, with a few adjustments (fabric, print, zipper color/style) I think even the men in my life would appreciate a gift like this. (I'm thinking olive canvas, black chunky zipper, some elastic inside... A dopp kit bag!)

Very nice! Thank you for the effort you have put in…so clear. Could the tags be inserted at an earlier stage, I wonder, as it looks a bit fiddly at the later stage?
You are welcome 😊. You could attach the tags to the zipper ends (after you have attached it to all 4 pieces of fabric and trimed any excess) making sure that they are well centered and in the right position for seam allowance. Pin everything in place before sewing to make sure that it will work. 😉

Thank you 😊😊😊. Yes, you can make it larger, just add as much as you want to the length and width of the fabric. You might have to make the bottom bigger as well to keep the proportions. Practice with a piece of scrap fabric, as if it were the lining. Happy sewing 😊

Also, with a few adjustments (fabric, print, zipper color/style) I think even the men in my life would appreciate a gift like this. (I'm thinking olive canvas, black chunky zipper, some elastic inside... A dopp kit bag!)

Very nice! Thank you for the effort you have put in…so clear. Could the tags be inserted at an earlier stage, I wonder, as it looks a bit fiddly at the later stage?
You are welcome 😊. You could attach the tags to the zipper ends (after you have attached it to all 4 pieces of fabric and trimed any excess) making sure that they are well centered and in the right position
for seam allowance. Pin everything in place before sewing to make sure that it will work.
