Bought the Ventum 33 last week and absolutely love the smoothness of the draw and quietness of the shot. Hoyt has a winner on its hands with the binary cam set-up.

The Ultra is obviously longer which makes it more stable in the hand. I’ve held Ultras in the past, and there’s a noticeable difference in stability. It all depends on where and what you hunt. The ultra is meant for out west hunting elk and stuff like that when you’re hiking and making longer shots. The regular is better for tree stand and blind hunters. The ultra is a little bit slower but it doesn’t matter.

I am a teenager with a 30 inch draw I need more than 2 inches of adjustability. I would rather spend 1400 dollars once than spend 1200 dollars twice if I go over a 32 inch draw.

The weight really isn’t that bad. Not everyone likes a 28” ata. I feel like 30” is a sweet spot for ata length because it’s not to short but it’s still pretty compact.
@@mustang268 I have 2 bows, one with shims, the other a Torrex. I had the Torrex shooting bullets with 5 arrows with yoke tuning. My other bow, I don’t touch it anymore because it’s so damn hard to tune. Spent 2 hours in the shop tuning and still no good.
Huge fan of Hoyt... with that said you’ve priced me out of the market! Let’s see, get a BRAND NEW Mathews V3 or get a USED RX3 for the same price as the new V3? Going with a new Mathews. Sorry Hoyt, I really want one, cannot justify the cost!
@@seabass22 I do realize that, but sheesh. Quite the jump in price and still very hard in fact impossible to justify. I had the opportunity to shoot both he RX5 and Ventum this week. I also shot the Mathews V3 27”. For me the Mathews was way ahead of the Hoyts. I’m not a one manufacturer is better than the other kinda guy at all. But the Mathews beat them both out and is $100 cheaper than the Ventum. I was also concerned about accessory cost on the Hoyt bows being that it’s all new technology.
Really disappointed, huge hoyt fan.. but they missed the mark in my eyes. A new cam is the same thing but different. All bows make noise when you fire it, and vibration isn't enough to warrant buying a new bow. What would've been nice is adjustable cams like the bowtech, or on the riser like elite, something that make it easier to tune. Where im from we have no pro shop or place to really go.!

The zt pro cams are generally well spoken off on forums and I like the off set cut out of the upper riser part. If I could just have 1 compound the helix would be one

Mathews' 2021 bows are small improvements over the 2020 lineup. Hoyt's are a big leap forward.

Riser front cut out design + arrow rest integrated mount + bottom harmonic dampener + large cams all Mathews ideas copied or licensed for Hoyt to use.
But the vxr was a huge change from the rx4, so Mathews just added on to the vxr since it’s already an amazing bow

My RX5 ultra is amazing. The draw cycle is so smooth. It feels like it’s 10 lbs lighter than other bows at the same weight.

You can. It uses a different mount though. You remove the Redwrx badge, screw in the inline sight mount, and put your badge back on.

Trying to decide between the RX-5 and the RX-5 Ultra. I can't tell the difference. I might just go with the regular RX-5

The aluminum bows riser looks like a copy of Mathews tbh. Just about everything about the new design is just a copy of what Mathews already does.
