I ended up picking the Matthew's V3 for my first bow. My local shop let me shoot both of those two bows back to back switching between both and the hoyt is definitely a smoother draw cycle but the stiff backwall and complete lack of vibration along with how much quieter the Matthew's was sold me. I'm not sure if I should try a different grip on it yet or not because I seem to be having some issues with torque in how I'm gripping it. Just my 2 cents worth
Great review. I think it would be awesome if you did a comparison between a Triax, Vxr 28 and v27. And or Vertix, Vxr 31.5 and V 31. Would be interesting to say the least. With shootouts.
Have the v3 now for 1.5yrs. Great bow. Draw cycle is a tad radical for me...67 yrs age. Taken 3 deer thus far 1 decent 8pt last fall. 57-58lbs 28.5 draw plenty fast 440 gr arrow, Victory vap to. Thx man!
I appreciate that a lot! This is a prime example of how we should all treat people in the archery world! It doesn’t matter what bow you shoot it matters what bow feels best to you! I respect that and I respect how you respect others opinions as well!
I feel like the Ventum 33 is better choice over the V3 bows this year, due longer ATA and twin cams with adjustable dl. The best bow Mathews did release this year was the Atlas, but the minimum dl puts the bow away from a lot of shooters.
Hello all. so i live in mexico we cant have guns i need to buy a bow but i need a battle bow, this bows in the video are kind of slow i need something more fast, recommendations?
100%%! Both lower arrows on both bows showed lower speeds! Super importance to shoot through the same height! I add tape around the bars of the chrono so I shoot the same optimal height
I’m going to use the profits from the giveaway to purchase as many bows as I can so I can get my hands on bows I don’t have access to and be able to more in depth reviews and comparisons! So hopefully it all works out well👌🏽

The Ventum Ultra is better than the RX5 Ultra in my opinion and not just because of the money. It is straight up the better bow. That said, I went with the V3 31 as my back up to my RX1 Ultra because that thing is a killing machine with my arrow set up and I have no plans to get rid of that anytime soon.
@@HaxenHunt thanks man! I already ordered an RX5 ultra back in February, still haven’t got it in. Getting kind of antsy! Hope I made a good choice because they didn’t have an ultra and all I shot was an RX5. Shot the VXR 31.5 last year and was happy but want a little longer ATA. I’m a pretty big guy and like the 33/34 inch ATA. I’ll be shooting 29.5 draw @ 80 lbs. Appreciate your feedback and videos! Thanks!
I was thinking the exact same thing! I owned the RX5 and HATED IT! Just bought the V3 today after shooting about every flagship bow I could. The Hoyt was the worst of the lot, I wish I’d never bought the POS. lost $800 just to get rid of POS after hunting with it.
@@HaxenHunt I know 5 guys who dropped their Hoyts for the V3 and have been around alot of people who have shot it, none have hated it or even really complained about it.
Just sold my 2 month old RX5 (i really wanted to lie) and bought the V3 (I’ve never been a Mathews fanboy) But the Hoyt was just too AWFUL to keep! I hated almost everything about it. I have no idea how you could review them so close. The V3 outclassed the Hoyt in every level. The balance on the Hoyt is terrible. It points and settles like crap. It tunes like crap, has way more hand shock, and is an all around pig. The V3 is the most solid bow I’ve ever shot. The V3 is the best settling bow I’ve ever shot. Hoyt is so far behind the other bow manufactures it is sad. As a Utahn I wish I could support Hoyt, but they are just not making a quality bow!

@@hoglefish You may have mentioned a time or 7 how much you hated the RX5. I actually have both Hoyt and Mathews. A VXR and an RX3 Ultra. 😂 Love them both.

RX5 "variable speed" is likely do to the way you shot it through the chronograph, aa slightly different angle can change the reading

I shot every flagship bow i could the when I got rid of my awful RX5, and the EVO EVL was my second most favorite but I just bought the V3 today.

Prefer the Hoyt by far, don't like the aggressive draw cycle of the Mathews, just my opinion after shooting both
I shot both and like the Hoyt’s draw cycle but the lack of vibration and how quiet the Mathews was sold it for me

The size of the cam on the V3 31 makes it more comparable to the rx5 Ultra’s string angle.
You would have to be a diehard Hoyt fanboy, get the Hoyt for free or love to waste your money to pick the RX5 over the V3. V3 is superior in everyway.
To everyone their own! I’ve heard both ways! Some people hate the Mathew’s and some hate the Hoyt! That’s the beauty of archery👌🏽👊🏽

@@hoglefish man I actually want to love the RX series but for the money, it's garbage. As nice as carbon is, Mathews dropped it for a reason.
Speeds are pretty much the same, especially since ce you lose half an inch of drW with Matthew's. Both are great bows!
