I will get the RX 8 .. I will keep my RX 7 for three D and circles. I thought I would shoot the 7 forever but I am very very impressed with the 8. I will go to Als sporting goods in Logan and get it ordered today THANKS FOR MAKING THE BEST BOWS IN THE WORLD.. I love the no cam contact on the tripod type stand
@kee7678 it is , barely, they have new strings, and a litlle wider limbs, and the local shop told me yesterday he's already heard of guys finding cracks where the inserts go, and guys having limb problems, first day out. Idk myself, but he sells hoyt and that's what he said.
Have you shot one? Or used one for a season to see if it holds up? Have you done that with all the competitors' bows to see how this one compares? Didn't think so. Every mnfctr makes bold claims every year and the differences seem to be smaller and smaller. This does appear to have more adjustability and a tripod stabilizer, i'll give you that, but you want to clean the jizz out of your shorts if you're claiming best of '24 already
Yeah I was thinking the same thing I have an rx5 I was thinking to upgrade to rx8 but just looking at the alpha x on that new tombstone color makes it difficult to choose
Yeah, I am sure they shoot great and I'll shoot one soon when I have a chance, but what is the deal with the pricing? Seems like it keeps going up more and more each year. Disappointing considering the competitions pricing and I'm afraid it'll hurt Hoyt this year in terms of sales numbers. Don't get me wrong, I am a Hoyt guy myself (I shoot the VTM 34") but $2050 for a carbon bow? Like come on, that is a huge price jump over the RX7 Ultra for it to use the same riser and all for what, 1/4" draw length adjustments? Once you get all of the accessories and sales tax, its gonna easily be $3-4K all in which is a large amount of money that only a minority of people are going to be comfortable spending.
Still running the hoyt ignite the family got me for my birthday umpteen years ago still with original string I might add, may have to upgrade this year and pass my ignite on to my daughter
I like it all but still disappointed there is still not a new solution for tuning / adjusting the cam’s left or right similar to some of the competitor’s offerings…this would be the real “game changer” for me which would get me to upgrade from my RX7.
Disappointed. Expected more especially since they didn’t come out with a new carbon bow last year and ran the RX-7 for two years. The fan boys will upgrade but I’ll keep my money.
This thing is slim and short. Broke a Cam pin on my fredbear. I settled for this carbon rx8. I'm liking it alot. Quarter inch draw, and hard backstop was something I didn't know I was missing
Well that’s disappointing. New cam looks good with 1/4” draw adjustment but this years bows really show that we are pushing up against the limits of compound bows. Marginal gains at best.
Kind of like cell phones. It reaches a point where there is just only so much “improvement” they can do. New cams are the equivalent of new cameras 😂. I intentionally just bought the VTM 34 2 days ago because of discounts. Love Hoyt as it’s all I have ever shot.
The bowtech tuning system is the biggest advancement that actually does something in the last few years. The new core 34 would be what I would be looking at if I was in the market with the ex 8 ultra as a back up. Would need to shoot both. Will have to see if Mathew’s does anything interesting this year (doubtful)
So what’s the price on the RX8? I shot Hoyt from 1995 to 2023 then had to switch brands because of price. When a bare bow starts getting close to $2,000 it’s time to rethink a few things. I only buy a new bow every 3-4 years and yes I know I could shoot a cheaper one but I want the flag ship. I’m not a professional by any means and very rarely shoot a 3 D tournament. It’s getting where the common man can’t afford the top of the line.
Yep 2g. The local shop that sells them said he's already heard of guys having limb problems the first day they came out, and I saw a guy on a forum talking about cracking or something where the insert goes into the carbon. Idk myself though.
Did I make a mistake buying Hoyts ? Should i have bought a Matthews instead ? I've watched alot of reviews on TH-cam then got excited and bought my first bow a rx7. It looked good felt good and shot great. Another reason i got it was because I have a shoulder injury and needed something smooth and easy to pull back. But it didn't take long and it got damaged by the hoyt untrarest. The company I bought it apex hunting did the right thing and replaced it with the rx8. I got lucky, hoyt didn't even care. We called them and they didn't take any responsibility. Unfortunately the Hoyt rx8 was damaged once I received it. I was excited because I also bought the garmin xero A1i PRO and couldn't wait to try both products. But the cams where damaged. The bottom cam once getting adjusted to my draw length didn't fit, we realised the cams where different sizes. They replaced the cams. Now my quiver that suits the camo colour and looks great is broken. Makes me question 2 years in bow hunting, why is alot of people using a matthews.
So how much are these bows this year 3,500 for the carbon 22 for the aluminum? Come on Hoyt you need to get your prices in check this isn't golf, nor do these bows hold their value no matter what brand.
WTH Hoyt?!? Total bow weights that are catching Mathews and unforgiving brace heights! Still shooting a Carbon Defiant, but may need to look somewhere else now! 🤬
Been absolutely LOVING these bows yall! You’re going to love them as well!!!
Shot every 2024 bow in the shop and landed the Alpha X 33, very smooth draw, no dump and holds great! Super happy with my choice! You guys nailed it!
Bought one today. Great shooting bow. Just waiting for tombstone color accessories to become available
I will get the RX 8 .. I will keep my RX 7 for three D and circles. I thought I would shoot the 7 forever but I am very very impressed with the 8. 7 and 8 is the same damn bow.
how much???
@kee7678 1900 retail. And it's the 7 with a little difference in the cam.
Seems more than just the cam though. @@WolfinWolvesClothing713

Love them both can’t wait to try them both
You guys nailed it this year… Alpha X 33 is the best overall bow of ‘24.
Have you shot one? Or used one for a season to see if it holds up? Have you done that with all the competitors' bows to see how this one compares? Didn't think so. YESSS MAN!!! Great upgrades
You know it!
That alpha looks like if the vtm and Mathew’s phase 4 had a baby 😂😂😂
I really love hoyt carbon bows, but that alpha x is sweet!!
Yeah I was thinking the same thing I have an rx5 I was thinking to upgrade to rx8 but just looking at the alpha x on that new tombstone color makes it difficult to choose
It's not worth losing $800 on last years bow to upgrade to this one
Still rockin the RX-1
Why does the music on any TH-cam bow hunting video sound exactly the same?
Just shot them at my shop this morning….man that alpha ultra is sweet. I think that’s the one I’ll get this year.
That Alpha 33 X is what I am ordering this year. Mathews dropped back and punted imo. Yea they got lighter but their drawcycle sucks
Yeah, I am sure they shoot great and I'll shoot one soon when I have a chance, but what is the deal with the pricing? Seems like it keeps going up more and more each year. The aluminum boys are actually $50 cheaper
Those bows are sweet!!!! Awesome features!!!!! Unfortunately I'm going to hold on to my Z 1 S for awhile
I waiting for Z2S
I love my vtm 31 Hoyt is by far the best bow I have ever seen are shot!!
last hoyt I bought was the alphamax 32 I think this is the year I upgrade again
Still running the hoyt ignite the family got me for my birthday umpteen years ago still with original string I might add, may have to upgrade this year and pass my ignite on to my daughter
If you've had it teens of years, and haven't needed a new string yet, I wouldn't think you shoot enough to need an upgrade.
@WolfinWolvesClothing713 definitely could shoot more of course
Dude, can these guys be any less excited about a new bow release. Pretty sure I'm more excited than anyone in this video.
I like it all but still disappointed there is still not a new solution for tuning / adjusting the cam’s left or right similar to some of the competitor’s offerings…this would be the real “game changer” for me which would get me to upgrade from my RX7.

They designed a whole new cam system that’s better than any of their old ones
They said that about the bows of 10 years ago. We’ve come a long ways.
More like the last 10 years

That’s why I like their TORREX XT. Performance and precision are there but the price point is achievable.
I agree

Haters gonna hate but I'm sure they're accurate!
Take my moneeeeyyyyyy!!!
Sweet!!
Do the 2.0 go stix work on the rx7?
Yes the will
Did I make a mistake buying Hoyts ?
Should i have bought a Matthews instead ?

Double dang! 💥
🔥🔥🔥
Exactly. FIRE!!!
I’d be more impressed if you made a carbon bow the average hunter can actually afford.
For me, You still haven’t outdone the AlphaMax! 😂
So how much are these bows this year 3,500 for the carbon 22 for the aluminum? Come on Hoyt you need to get your prices in check this isn't golf, nor do these bows hold their value no matter what brand.
Did you even bother to google prices before this comment
Snazzy
Hoyt
