- Hello bookish people! Today I am breaking down the plot of as good as dead and giving you a full summary with spoilers. This is the third and final book in the good girls guide to murder trilogy and it was somehow more chaotic than the first two combined. Pip acts completely unhinged, ravi continues to be a golden retriever boyfriend and fairview makes national news with its criminality.

I told my dad that I was reading the good girls guide to murder series and he was concerned that it was a book about getting away with murder and I told him it wasn’t and that it was a murder mystery, and then I read this book 🤦♀️

In the first book the other reason Jason was a suspect was because he had left the dinner party that night.
Another thing is that when she goes and sees Jason she points out the necklace that dawn was wearing was a gold chain necklace exactly like own that DT had taken from one of the victims 😂
i love this book so much but it tears me apart that she cant talk abt the trauma with anyone??
When I was reading the part where Pip was trapped in the car and we didn’t know who the DT killer the pages got stuck but I didn’t notice then I read that it was Jason bell

I figured out who the DT killer was wayyyyy before pip did I was suspicious of him immediately (SPOILER NEXT FOR YALL READING)
I was so worried Ravi would break up with her when he found out abt her murder and drugs but NO instead he’s like “I’ll do it with you”
A lot of people have said they thought the end was a cliffhanger but I disagree, I think that WAS Holly Jackson’s way of confirming Ravi and pip get back together, he texted her only 3 minutes after the verdict and it’s obvious she responded. I think somewhere Holly even confirmed she sees them getting back together!

I can’t wait to read it! After this last book I need to see the gang all together again and it be more lighthearted and not so serious and traumatic lol

Who the DT Killer was seemed so obvious that I'd convinced myself that it was too obvious to be true and it was someone else framing that person, and Pip had just already realized that, but lol nope.
no because i was confused too how pip didn't realize it was jason bell- like GIRLLL cmon 😭 she knew Jason had a history of cheating on his wife. the last murder happened on the same night Andie died, and on that day Jason was at a dinner party when he left in the middle.... hmmm ?!! "practically" a police officer- we know Jason is well connected. Pip knew he was close to both Daniel Da Silva and Detective Hawkins. We learned in the first book that Jason was a shithead when it came to how he talked to his daughters. Also, couldn't Andie just tell her dad or mom if she felt like Daniel was a murderer?! I mean, I'm sure her dad knows more police officers too lmao- and he's rich and well connected, as I said. But if her dad was the murderer- SHE OBVIOUSLY CAN'T SAY ANYTHING. DUH. OF COURSE SHE WOULD WANT TO GET AWAY. Like it all clicked for me the second I read the email from Andies second account. I was like "ITS JASON BELL" meanwhile pip "its daniel da silva". i was like "girl you're smarter than this" but it was probably just that Holly didn't want to reveal it until Pip got kidnapped lmao.
It took me so long to finish this book but once I was in the middle it got GOOD

i loved the book sm but i found the ending a tad bit underwhelming since i was expecting a happily ever after for pip and ravi since they've literally been thru so much shit together. i was hoping to also see pip's friends reaction after hearing that pip has murdered the DT killer. i also thought that it was really not okay for that mf max to strangle pip and like physically abuse her. DI hawkins was also an a hole in this book just like he was in the second one. i'd rate it overall 4/5 stars.

I loved the first half minus the fact that Pop didn’t install security cameras on her house to solve this whole thing. I haaaaated how incredulous and unhinged the second half was and how she distanced herself from her loved ones as if that would be a good idea. Honestly I just highly dislike the character of Pip
