Cassian: Hey boss I don't feel comfortable with the unrest in camp, I think I'm going to stay here in case anything bad happens so I can help Rhysand: Cassian you're coming to my fucking christmas party
"Has Rhysand ever done laundry? I don't think so. That's interesting." This is a very concise way of putting something to words that really bothers me about Rhysand the Uber-Feminist. He feels like a bunch of buzzwords in a trenchcoat
also the really weird and creepy anti-abortion, anti-women-knowing-anything-about-their-fucking-body-let-alone-getting-to-choose-what-to-do-with-it, situation when Feyre got pregnant edit: and all the non-con, dub-con, & abuse from Rhysand in book one!
@jol6573 I've seen people genuinely turn on _Nesta_ for _going behind Rhysand's back_ to tell Feyre. Literally seen her called an 'ungrateful bitch' for 'just wanting to hurt Feyre and disobey Rhys'
To be fair, Feyre having a social anxiety meltdown because she's going to her first painting class is one of the most relatable scenarios I think SJM has ever written.
I agree! I also felt that way about Nesta's self-loathing hike in SF. I bawled my eyes out for the me who had felt that intense hate for myself before.
I actually did this on the first day of my new dance class, and I literally told myself “Feyre wouldn’t back down from this” to get myself to go in. I’m glad I hadn’t read this book yet 😂
I'm sorry "You were the only person I felt I could talk to under the mountain 🥺" maybe because you were in a _prison cell_ and he was your _captor's lackey_ so he was the only one who _could_ be down there without _being killed_ ?????
I'm just not going to be able to shut up for ten minutes during this video am I? SJM stop romantacizing what Feyre went through (what _Rhysand put her through_ ) under the mountain challenge
Don’t you love how feyre has like 5 houses with Rhysand now or something and yet never offers to share these houses with all the homeless she feels so bad for…it’s okay, rhysands hot and they’re in the sky
@@eos_aurora I think they are referring to the people whose homes sustained damage from the attacks of the city that hasn't been repaired yet and who now don't have undamaged roofs above their heads during the middle of winter.

Their traumas are valid!! Except from Tamlin's of course, Rhysand is better and richer and has a bigger D hahahah" I'll start writing my own Tamlin redemption arc fanfic at this point, no shit.
And rhysand even had the nerve to pout about tamlin not rising to the bait anymore, like leave him alone you bully😭 (I don’t even like tamlin but rhysand telling him he doesn’t deserve anything good genuinely broke my heart)
Thank God Cassian showed up to give those women rights! (Feels like an oversight to have the plotline surrounding liberating women being about two men arguing.)
It's really interesting to me how women's rights advocacy comes from the pov of a man protecting women rather than women themselves forming a community and fighting for themselves.
if Feyre could buy a bathtub full of egg sized sapphires and not make a dent in Rhys’ wealth then the crying into the scrambled eggs after Rhys read Nesta’s bar tab in ACOSF makes even less sense
Umm…..I hate to be that person But, the crying into scrambled eggs wasn’t because nesta was spending a lot of money It was because nesta was spending a lot of money on GAMBLING AND DRINKING HERSELF INTO OBLIVION….she was making bad choices for herself, had stopped communicating with her sisters and participating in self destructive behaviour, she was crying because she was concerned for nesta (Also the fact that she never had much money for herself or her family, and she’s seeing nesta spending so much on drinking) PS: pls forgive any grammatical errors, English is not my first language
@@eshitasahu I mean, if my rich and powerful sister was forcing me into a relationship with a 300+ year old creep, I would also spend her money on alcohol to cope with the trauma of having my own sister literally s-x trafficking me 😂😬
I mean tbh SHES FLIPPING IMMORTAL like 😭 trust me home girl will have A SHIT TON OF TIME TO BE ON HER OWN WITH HER BOO THANG like wut? 😂 I literally don’t see the problem with her doing thing plus it’s not like she doesn’t have the experience being a caregiver / provider/ basically a mother… she literally took care of Nesta, Elaine, and her father for years even though she was a baby. So I would say she’s very mature for her age and I don’t think she needs that frontal lobe to develop more…
idk why i remember thinking 'at least Feyre is older than most YA/NA protagonists, she's like 22-23 in ACOTAR, right?' but she's actually like 19??!>>!>!>>1
something that's never sat quite right with me is that when feyre was pregnant they were like 'omgggg nooo u can't transform, it MIGHT harm the babyyyyy' as if that's worse than the baby AND feyre both dying like hello!?
FRRR! I was thinking like, can’t Feyre just shift her birth canal, even? And shifting into an ilyrian shouldn’t even harm the baby because it’s making things bigger, not smaller!
Ikr. Obviously he's not a likeable character and does a lot of bad things but what annoys me us ge was written that way soley so rhys could sweep in as the "better option" (which canonically he is but yk)
i thought i was the only one!! i hate when authors cant write well enough to come up with a reason why one love interest is better than the other without committing character assassination
I find it funny that even though Tamlin is presented as a bad and unlikable character he is still one of the least awful male characters in this series. Seriously, when you objectivly compare what he did in the story to the others he comes out as a more positive and good person than all of Night Court people. And to add even more of the irony he is the one to save the lifes of both Feyre and Rhysand, as well as the land of Prythian, yet che main characters still villanize him.
Omg for real. So she wants to have a child to keep a piece of Rhysand in case he dies and at the same time leave the child orphaned because she’ll die if he dies (and vice versa) . I haven’t read the last book so my prediction is that she’ll get pregnant soon. Then one of them will die for real and the other will choose to stay alive (thus breaking the death pact) for the sake of the child. I also predict that when she falls pregnant she’s going to be certain it’s the boy the Bone Carver showed her but when the baby is born it’s going to be a girl. (Similar to the Twilight saga with Reneesme)
Especially since there are clubs canonically or am I mixing her books up... she should be snorting fairy coke and idk.. have sex in the sky, pregnant and barefoot at 21 is sad af
Exbition A of male feminists lol. It's funny how even through the rosy glasses that SJM wants us to see him, he is still shallow and performative and actually is on par with reality in that way.
7:40 feyre darling this was the perfect time to advocate for the illyrian women, aka YOUR SUBJECTS, who are suffering.. but of course building a paint studio takes priority!
I just wish SJM would stop with the constant retconning and finding new unnecessary ways to bring up Tamlin. Like…lady. How many times are we gonna go down this road? We get it! The visit in this book and the visit in silver flames was just unnecessary soap opera drama 😂. Nothing Tamlin did was any worse than Rhys, so let’s pack up the rekindling drama with blonde boy and find a plot.
I feel like they do equally bad things but for the most part tam does unforgivable things toward feyre while rhys does that more off-screen. Like, rhys is unnecessarily sadistic, posessive and violent but because he is less controlling of feyre (I'm excluding the pregnancy stuff here) it is written to be completely acceptable
@@nospoonfulofmayonnaiseforme "equally bad things" is hilarious. Tamlin hasn't topped rhys's "drugged feyre and done sexually explicit things to her both against her will".
@@nospoonfulofmayonnaiseformethis is just so wrong, the worst thing Tamlin did was locked feyre in a house, and bite her when on fairy drugs, technically against his will. Rhys puts her in harms way intentionally while also lying to her, twists her broken bone to force her to make a deal with him, sexually assaults her in front of a load of people while she was drugged and didn’t remember any of it, hides that her pregnancy can kill her then PUTS A BUBBLE AROUND HER so no one can touch her due to her being pregnant…sounds like Tamlin and putting her in a house…for her own good.., Both did awful things. It to pretend Rhys wasn’t as bad…yikes
So they actually did address Nesta getting more heat than Elaine, when she's just as bad? Elaine only gets overlooked because she's quiet and easy to tolerate, while Nesta's fiery and direct. But of course Rhysand doesn't see that🙄
Elaine being easier to tolerate means she also gets the others rushing to her side when she's in distress, which makes them take her side when she's being the asshole to someone more abrasive like Nesta. She disrespects Nesta's boundaries in Silver Flames by continuing to talk about their father when it was clearly distressing Nesta and then gets all :( when Nesta snaps.
Elaine isn’t as bad though, Nesta isn’t just direct, she’s a full on asshole 90% of the time. Being quiet is far better than being actively, unnecessarily, mean
Rhys treats nesta like shit for no reason. Nesta has done nothing wrong. She has helped literally everytime she’s been asked. She wanted to be left alone for a while. So she spent rhysand’s money? How sad to spend the money of a million or billionaire. Nesta has never been physically violent to anyone but Hybern, kelpies, and b slapping Grayson, but Rhys acts like she’s about to unalive Feyre at any minute which is ridic. To be fair, elain is fine, too, though I think she’s too mean to Lucien. Everyone handles shit differently
@@devonbananastar4170 They mean in the way they treated Feyre growing up. They're _both_ older than her and they _both_ left everything to her (which doesn't exactly make sense because there's more to do around a house than bring in raw meat for dinner but I digress, SJM). She should have aged everyone up slightly and made Elaine the youngest if she wanted everyone to treat her like the baby
Plot hole… So Feyre’s reasoning for wanting a kid makes no sense… she wants to still have a pice of Rhysand should he die - but isn’t that pointless because whenever he goes she goes too, because they made that bargain - right?
i saw the title of this video and said out loud: “ACOFAS had plot?” i appreciate your dedication to creating almost 2 hours of content even for books that have literally no plot. saving the world one silly book at a time 💙
Salam Cari, I just want to give my sincerest thank you for raising awareness to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund. As a Palestinian, your compassion is truly appreciated.
Honestly, Nesta is the character I like most - haven't read the books, just Cari's reviews. She's the most realistic one of all of them. Her life was destroyed and her father was killed and she can't cope and needs help and almost everyone hates her but also wants to get all up in her business. She'd be on suic**e watch in real life. And in the Silver flames book (that's the Nesta one, right?) she's able to get back control of her life somehow. I mean, Elaine just exists in the kitchen. Yay.
I DNFed acotar 3 times and just decided to watch Cari’s videos instead and it has saved me SO much pain of reading all the retcons and choppy writing and unintelligent decisions made by stupid characters. Thank you for your efforts Cari 😌
Thank you for suffering so we dont have to 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 also SJM addressing how WEIRD the age gaps in this book are should have just stayed out of it because its terribly written and examined ☠️☠️☠️ she should have just left it alone as an unacknowledged strange habit of romance fantasy novels (since I'm not even 30 and marrying a 21 year old sounds DERANGED to me let alone if i were 500 and also a fairy). + All the feminist actions being taken by male characters because women cant advocate for themselves i guess is SO cringe and does not say what SJM thinks it does
It’s even more cringe that apparently equality is dying out in the battle field regardless of sex. Instead of ya know having actual rights and equal social standing. God you can tell a white woman wrote this book because this reeks of white women feminism
So. Uber-Feminist Rhysand didn't do anything, he had his mom do it. And he's sort of not very feminist when he doesn't want to be. I'm getting more and more impressions that he's not that feminist, he's just a mama's boy.
this book truly highlights the major flaw of the inner circle which is "we just don't talk to each other about the important personal stuff because those are things we need to deal with on our own." like what the hell!!!! support your friends talk to them don't let them just sit in their pain. the whole point of ACOMAF was removing feyre from that isolating experience and giving her a support system to rely on and talk to. now she and all of her friends are going through pain and she's not talking to them about anything and changing the subject when things start getting tough. you are all miserable because none of you talk to each other about the things that matter most!! it's so infuriating to read.
I mean I thought this was pretty damn egregious in all the books to be honest. Basically every time the reader/Feyre finds out something genuinely personal about a member of the inner circle that's not borderline public information about their family situation, whether it's Rhysand having PTSD nightmares or Mor's coming out or whatever, it's always "something not even the rest of the inner circle knows". Basically none of these people have ever been open and honest with each other about any of their deeper than absolute surface level issues despite having spent literal centuries together and constantly talking about being each other's family. It's completely unbelievable that these folks are or were ever actually friends.
I remember reading this and the 3rd one in short succession years ago…Somehow I made it through the third one, but this one truly made the Inner Circle insufferable. Feyre’s super relatable problems of having so much money and not knowing what to get for her friends, Rhys “dying” (as a reader I did not believe for a single second he was going to stay dead) so her trauma from that is impossible to take seriously, the beleaguered “void” fabric metaphor…not only did this book not justify its existence (or price point) it made me actively dislike the characters I used to like…and made me feel embarrassed for liking them in the first place.
I read fanfic and even I am cringing to another dimension at how ridiculous this series is 😭 I can’t take this seriously as an actual story when it sounds like they’re all variations of Perfect Guy Who Gives Gf Everything etc and the girl has the world revolve around her and they’re all like that and also supermodels. I don’t even know how to describe this type of fiction but it’s nauseating.
One of my cats died 2 days ago and I haven’t had the strength to do anything but grieve. I’m really grateful for the timing of this upload so I have something fun and lighthearted to distract myself. Thank you and happy winter solstice to you too! From a fellow Capricorn.
As a Capricorn AND someone who recently lost their cat this hit too close to home :/ It’s an unimaginable pain to go through and, even though it may not feel like it right now, I hope you know you are not alone🤍
I'm in the same position - lost my 15-year-old cat two days ago. All I've really been able to do is watch TH-cam videos as a distraction. We're in the same boat, but it'll get better.
Bro wtf, I stopped reading after ACOWAR, and I had no idea SJM did Tamlin so dirty. Poor man is basically suicidal and everyone is still hating on him like he's the worst possible character in the series...? I...don't get it.
I need to know how Rhysand & others in the inner circle make so much money. From what I remember in ACOMAF they don’t have a tithe, so like, where does it come from then…
Ok but like when you say that Feyre wants the baby so she can remember Rhysand if he died is stupid because of that stupid vow they made that when one of them dies so does the other. Plot hole much?😃
why does Rhys have to be SUCH a dick to Tamlin, as if he hasn't also done some really shitty things and as if him and Feyre don't owe their lifes to him.
It drives me crazy how much Maas seems to be trying to critique the idea of mates when it is a fake made up thing and she is the one who made the rules for her own world. So when she tries to make a point with Elain and Lucien, it's like then why did you make up mates in your world when it forces people to do things they don't want and most people don't like theirs. Also with Rhysand's parents, why did you create a world where a 900 yr old and 18 yr old who don't like each other are forced together. And if the majority of mates in the world have people who don't like each other but are forced to be together then people would consider mates a bad thing, but Lucien says it was something he was excited about. It just irritates me that she created it to be so flawed and then is preaching about how mates may not actually be a good thing. It's literally what you make it because it's fake.
And the fact that EVERYONE is getting one is insane. I find a story about choice and going against fate more empowering than this. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good soulmates story, but the fact that it’s forced is just gross. When I envision soulmates, I think of people choosing that they are the perfect fit together, not whatever weird, biological supremacy, breeding-focused shit this is.
I live for these spoiler-rich videos of yours. I've read the Sarah J. Maas books you've done so far, and your summaries are so much more satisfying than reading the source material. I know film adaptations of books aren't goin anywhere, but more youtubers are doing these types of videos, and I kinda wish they'd catch on widely enough so that, I don't know, some book-loving singer or actor would co-summarize book trilogies, and you can be the inaugural content creator co-host.
I'm gonna be so honest, you made these books sound so entertaining in your recaps I genuinely considered reading them for myself - until I learned sjm was apparently a zionist. So now more than ever, I want to thank you for making these videos, and I also really appreciate you raising money for Palestine!
When I was reading the second book I thought the whole Velaris and Hewn City thing sounded a lot like Palestine and Israel so I looked up SJM and someone wrote she's a Zionist and I was like yeah that checks out 😬
realizing all this happened to feyre starteing when she was 19 (ESPECIALLY all the romance) put the grossest pit in my stomach. people love immortal romances btwn an 800 year-lod and a 20 year- old or even teenager, but try recontextualizing it to a 20 year old with a 90 year old. yikes
@@missragsdale It is. Just because the 500+ year old act and at time look 20 doesn’t change the fact that they are hundreds and/or thousands year older
@@inter_esting but since it's an impossible situation for anyone irl to find themselves in, it's always seemed strange to me to get so hung up on the age differences.
throne of glass is soo much better and actually has plot!!! we love plot, but you’ve got it. the series picks up so quickly after the first book and it’s so worth it. i struggled through the other sarah j maas books too, so i get it
"Rhyeesie Baby" hahahaha Love your nicknames for them. I read these last year and love/hated it. watching this was a lovely reminder of how silly these books are. Thank you Cari!
if anyone has seen the withcindy video about this, I got this from that comment section, but the weaver lady is totally lying to fayre, and she is taking all the money back home to her wife and laughing about how she scammed the rich high lady. And you know what? I support her and want a story about her.
SJM: In this book I'm going to address the age gap Readers: Great! SJM: ... Readers: And... SJM: And what? I addressed it. Readers: You literally just said don't worry about it and moved on SJM: Exactly! I addressed it!
I just want you to know that I can't read any of these books anymore without your Bat Boys theme song playing in my head any time the three of them are together.
for what it's worth, it's nice that this type of book mentions feyre's menstrual cycle even if it is done in the most deranged context i have ever heard. also kudos to you for continuing to read this after that heavy bit of pregnancy foreshadowing, i would've tapped out the second it got mentioned.
My trans ass not realising Elain asking about changing what they were was meant to imply her wanting to be human again and not her questioning her gender though. I genuinely was like, wow, Amren, trans icon. I'm cry laughing at myself. I literally did the "But I was so caught up in the euphoria of being trans that for like a minute I lived in a world where Sarah J Maas didn't write ACOTAR" meme. Also, Elain, Lucien and Azriel becoming a throuple is the only valid way to end the almost love triangle SJM is building.
Honestly you were so real for thinking that and Amren exploring her gender would have made an infinitely better story than "alien creature gets human body and needs to learn how to poop (which is clearly something that's been missing from all literary holiday novellas until now 🙄)"
I feel like it was already a pain for SJM to make Mor queer, and since then, Mor has been hella sidelined. SJM is too much of a coward to have diversity like that in this story. Idk why but I get the vibe that a lot of characters would be hella transphobic due to the binary established within the world. Overall I hate how the world building set up a correlation between gender and sex, when that is so fucking false irl. Like how are you gonna support the “gender binary” when there’s magic and shit going on?
Cari you should transfer the audio from your videos into a podcast! your voice is really relaxing and since the videos are so long they would make sense as a podcast! love your acotar series btw.
Cari - your videos do something so beautiful, I’ve been thinking about why I enjoy and rewatch them so much and I think I’ve realised why - your videos connect to something really core to the human experience. I find it hard to sit down and read books through, but your forgot the plot vids make me feel like a friend is telling me this crazy fantasy story with so much energy and fun - it’s something really nourishing and the way stories were told and passed along for thousands of years. Food for the soul type of stuff. Also you’re very funny and your videos crack me up and the way you tell them really helps make the stories so compelling. Basically love ya girl, keep doing what you do. ❤🎉

Well done! Round of applause 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 and thanks for taking the time and effort to craft these plot videos with a dash of humor!! It is very much appreciated. ☺
When Cassian and Rhys were talking about his and Feyre's age difference I noticed something. I don't know if anyone else has thought about it or not but Rhysand is the oldest male MC in SJM's universe. Rhys is older than Rowan and Hunt.
I had to buy my sister the sequel to TOG, and I was standing there, (by the 'if you liked fourth wing' shelf) looking between the whole shelf SJM has and a copy of good omens, and I had to buy her a new copy. to be fair, I do own a copy of good omens, so I am forcing her to read that too. my sister is definitely not getting ACOTAR, tho edit: I'm just imagining Rhys standing there, angry, while a bunch of women around him are just like... doing laundry. and everyone around him is like, "maybe you could help bro" edit 2: this book could have been better if it was either the raunchiest fae winter novella ever put into print. Or an examination of how everyone is dealing with trauma, and how Rhys wants to make this amazing, then everyone says "no, you don't have to," but that's the only way he can deal with his trauma, especially with this being his 1st year back. then, everyone heals from their trauma. also, this version is written by someone who isn't SJM. Edit 3: mor sure needs that big closet because shes going to be stuck in there so long.
I’ve been watching this series over and over to coax me to sleep for a few weeks as I was sleeping on the couch with my dog, who we just had to put down a couple days ago. this is a very bittersweet time for this video to come out, but I’m so happy it has
i've only watched this videos and heven't read the books but I'm such a Tamlin defender! Like obviously he was horrible to Feyre at times and I'm VERY glad she left but I feel like SJM forgets that the guy was willing to sacrifice himself and his entire court for Feyre's safety in book one and that he saved both her and Rhy in book 3. His behaviour in book 2 wasn't acceptable by any means but it does make sense considering he was traumatised by seeing Feyra dying in front of him and feeling guilty over it. I just need the guy to get some good therapy and a support network and start rebuilding his life.
Ahhhhhhhh I actually screamed. I just found your page a couple months ago and I've binge watched your ACOTAR stuff at least 100x each. So glad your doing this one too!

It was because nesta was spending a lot of money on GAMBLING AND DRINKING HERSELF INTO OBLIVION….she was making bad choices for herself, had stopped communicating with her sisters and participating in self destructive behaviour, she was crying because she was concerned for nesta

So I would say she’s very mature for her age and I don’t think she needs that frontal lobe to develop more…
idk why i remember thinking 'at least Feyre is older than most YA/NA protagonists, she's like 22-23 in ACOTAR, right?' but she's actually like 19??!>>!>!>>1
@@nospoonfulofmayonnaiseforme SHE'S 19?! I thought she was like 25, how in the world did I miss that 😭

I THINK ABOUT THIS PLOT HOLE SO OFTEN
_AND_ RHYS! He’s your High Lord! Just adjust her pelvis for a second!
FRRR! I was thinking like, can’t Feyre just shift her birth canal, even? And shifting into an ilyrian shouldn’t even harm the baby because it’s making things bigger, not smaller!
Ten thousand percent agree. So DUMB.
Not me crying over poor Tamlin. He didn't deserve to be character assassinated and then abandoned in his depression.
A kindred spirit!
Ikr. Obviously he's not a likeable character and does a lot of bad things but what annoys me us ge was written that way soley so rhys could sweep in as the "better option" (which canonically he is but yk)
i thought i was the only one!! i hate when authors cant write well enough to come up with a reason why one love interest is better than the other without committing character assassination
frr like it makes me think that tamlin came to life and ran over sjms dog or something
I find it funny that even though Tamlin is presented as a bad and unlikable character he is still one of the least awful male characters in this series.
Seriously, when you objectivly compare what he did in the story to the others he comes out as a more positive and good person than all of Night Court people. And to add even more of the irony he is the one to save the lifes of both Feyre and Rhysand, as well as the land of Prythian, yet che main characters still villanize him.
feyre wanting a baby at 21 is crazy she should be at the club
and the fucking reason is she wants something to remember rhysand by 😭 i cannot
@@medea__witchhhbut they have a death pact? So if he dies she does anyway? 😂
I know, it's so wild
Feminist Rhys hates Nesta because she's fiery and direct and loves Elaine because she's docile and gentle, hilarious, Nice Guy level
or it’s bc nesta treated his mate horribly back in the human lands while treating elain like some kinda treasure.

@@nospoonfulofmayonnaiseformeand why would you exclude the pregnancy stuff?

@@nospoonfulofmayonnaiseformethis is just so wrong, the worst thing Tamlin did was locked feyre in a house, and bite her when on fairy drugs, technically against his will.
Rhys puts her in harms way intentionally while also lying to her, twists her broken bone to force her to make a deal with him, sexually assaults her in front of a load of people while she was drugged and didn’t remember any of it, hides that her pregnancy can kill her then PUTS A BUBBLE AROUND HER so no one can touch her due to her being pregnant…sounds like Tamlin and putting her in a house…for her own good..,
Both did awful things. It to pretend Rhys wasn’t as bad…yikes
"Mor mentioned she is bi" is a very funny thing to say since she had like 10 page monologue about it 😭
No i was getting over it by page 4 of the monologue like miss wrap it up
I swear if SJM doesn’t give Lucien some happiness at some point I’m going to throw hands
Exactly
Literally me too
So they actually did address Nesta getting more heat than Elaine, when she's just as bad?
@@dustrose8101 Yupp, true
That big sigh after talking about the sky sex was pure comedy and relatable 😂
Plot hole…
So Feyre’s reasoning for wanting a kid makes no sense… she wants to still have a pice of Rhysand should he die - but isn’t that pointless because whenever he goes she goes too, because they made that bargain - right?
Exactly what I thought, too.

Yay.

Yeah i was always really confused as to how so many readers just accepted this reallllyyyy odd age gap😭😭
Dang, Cassian burned a whole village to the ground because his mother died, Anakin style? This is supposed to be one of our good guys?
Yep but nesta not being nice to her sister is unforgivable 😊
i would ASSUME he didn't kill the women and children but yeah idk
Well unlike anakin he let the women and children live and only killed the people who directly hurt his mother. But in the broad strokes of things yes.
this book truly highlights the major flaw of the inner circle which is "we just don't talk to each other about the important personal stuff because those are things we need to deal with on our own." like what the hell!!!! support your friends talk to them don't let them just sit in their pain. the whole point of ACOMAF was removing feyre from that isolating experience and giving her a support system to rely on and talk to. now she and all of her friends are going through pain and she's not talking to them about anything and changing the subject when things start getting tough. you are all miserable because none of you talk to each other about the things that matter most!! it's so infuriating to read.
Putting a winter solstice book review out on the actual day of winter solstice is top tier planning and I solute you 👏🏻👏🏻

Yea it felt like it was something special at first, but then when Elaine just completely ignored Lucian, it’s like what’s the point?
And also the fact that the girls get excruciating periods? 💀 Like girl you know you could just….not?
