@@retrox64games honestly man my best advice would be support your partner the best you can, don’t set expectations for your baby, and just take things as they come. Super cliche advice but I don’t think there really are any tips or tricks. I have a happy healthy 17 month old now. Things definitely get more fun after about 10 months I would say too, so you can look forward to that!
@@cuddledog142 awesome, really looking forward to playing sports and video games with him! Not cliche at all, well a little, but nonetheless helpful! thanks man appreciate it! :D
Been a new Dad for four days. Feel like the worst person cause I look so clumsy tryna hold him while everyone else looks like a pro. Thanks for the vid. I’ll try these out
This is a brilliant video! My son was born 2 days ago and I haven’t properly held him yet out of fear of never doing it before but this video is a lifesaver!!!! 🤟🏻🤟🏻
Thanks! My baby is almost 3-month old now and he still cries when I hold him. I will try some of the positions to see if that makes him feel more comfortable. It's very frustrating not be able to comfort him in my arms :(
I would love to have a conversation with you. Honestly just after listening to your content you seem like you have done your research. Such a brilliant idol of fartherhood
My partner has her induction in the morning and it’s the middle of the night and I can’t sleep with excitement/over thinking. So here I am, nice to see other dads in similar situations😂 We got this💪🏽
Thanks for the video. New Dad for two days now. His grandparents are inexperience with babies so getting advice mainly online or through nhs websites. Been holding the baby in position one thus far but will try other to see if my son prefer others. Really loving the contents you share.
You have one arm free to do anything, like the heisman 😂 man that was some much needed comic relief as I am frantically waiting for my wife to go into labor after her water broke
I’m meeting my goddaughter for the first time today and while I’ve he,d babies before I want to brush up for her sake. Excellent video and a great example of healthy, wholesome masculinity.
I held a friend's baby once and it almost jumped out of my arms. I'm having my own in a matter of days. How do you secure them against involuntary twitching?
Check out at 3:42 and 4:17 where for almost one second the head is not supported. On the first mark the baby is being turned by holding it at the waist and on the second one, the baby's head would clearly snapped backwards. I'm wondering how nobody in the comments section saw it. I mean no offense, but that's clearly bad handling.
Thank you for the feedback. While you are correct the baby's head should be supported, the purpose of the video was showing the holds, not necessarily the transition to the holds. If I do make another video about it I will be sure to be more careful
I don't know how to hold a baby and I'm pregnant, so I'm trying to and I'm about to health. My babe, there and about like 3 weeks. So I need to know how to hold my baby before. I. Even know it
Anxious soon to be dad here. Would really appreciate if the video started from actually picking up the baby rather than already holding the baby in a video that is supposed to teach us how to hold the baby.😅
@@DadUniversityI’m a new Mom to a baby in NICU and he’s only 4 lbs 15oz and I am TERRIFIED of holding him and your video is genuinely the only one that has clear instructions that make me feel confident in holding him. I’ve held him a few times but I wanna know how FOR SURE to safely hold him. ❤ Thank you! Only wish it were a real baby so I could see!
just became a dad on jan 11th, still learning a lot, still a little intimidated of holding him, especially when his legs get folded up, i feel like i cant find that perfect position!
I will never know if this video is worth watching because the lead-up to any iota of helpful content it might have offered it squandered my patience assuring me that it was a man offering me advice.
Its so foreign holding a baby you dont know if your doing it right if the baby is comfortable your arms get tired fast if you don't work out so a lot of stuff to take into consideration

All good and well, but no explanation of how to get them into any of the belly positions
When my son was born 10 days ago as soon first baby I’ve ever held in my life and oh boy was I crapping my pants
Reverse football hood is my favorite
Hey thank you for the video, but you can’t see the transition of the holdings therefore the video didn’t help me.
Need help with this witching hour my little guy just turned a month old around 5 pm and 3am he cries and screams can you please help ???
#1 is really for daddies
How tall are you? Half of the holds I can't even attempt as my forearms seem too short or my hands too small...
6'
Do you know that there is 2 whas to domthe football hold
This is good but I would like assistance and explanation in correctly transitioning into a new position . Placing your hands correctly
Literally the only reason I’m nervous

That is a very valid point. Thank you for the input. Maybe a video on How to pickup a baby?" and show the different safe ways of doing that?
