Imo Windaria island is basically valhalla or heaven for warriors who fought enough and are given a chance to live a peaceful life. No where do i see these kinds of subtext ur reaching for during my time with it. The prince and Madera(the grandma) both share the same feelings. They just have an inert desire to take care of Drifters and as a result everyday somehow becomes even more peaceful.
