I have been reading the light novels for this series and have a few things to add. The first is that the anime REALLY tones this down. In the LNs you have scenes like Sion imagining being on an otherwised abandoned beach with Ryner, peacefully dropping hermit crabs on his face to shock him, and at one point, a literal god comments that Sion has romantic love for Sion. Not 好き, not 愛, but 恋, which can ONLY be romantic. Honestly they're past the point of subtext in a lot of ways. (A god also says that Miran Froaude wants to bang Sion. The gods know what they're talking about and are strangely invested in love triangles lmao). The second thing is that the anime messed up a major part of Ryner's characterization and growth - his depression. In the LNs it's made abundantly clear that the reason Ryner is so 'lazy' is because he's been broken down from all the trauma he's faced over the course of his life and is now too depressed to feel like he's capable of doing anything good for the world, and too tired to try. This is why he turns Sion's offer to help him change the world down. There's a Sion-centric novel spinoff series for the revolution that brings Sion into power, but as Ryner is in jail the entire duration of it, his only real appearance is when Sion stares longingly at the prison while Calne (who is for some reason holding a severed head in broad daylight) asks him if he's thinking about a lover. lol. But it helps a lot to clarify the lore with Sion & Lucile as well as exposes Lucile's babyfever so I think it's really worth a read. Anyway, in general are a lot of other huge differences between the LNs and anime, and it's much clearer why things happen the way they do (Ryner running away, the lore, ect), so I really recommend reading them if you have the time. I've been re-translating it for readability (it can be found on idola.dreamwidth.org), so it's less of a slog than before. It's a really underrated series imo so it makes me happy to see so many people showing interest!
@@EnigmaBL Definitely the LNs! Sion even makes a joke about being Ryner's sugar daddy at one point, and their bed wrestling scene lasts for about five times as long and has no interruptions. Claugh and Calne actively gossip about how Sion is probably gay. It's tons of fun! I also have the character songs on my channel if you're interested. Ryner & Sion have a duet and their solo songs are pretty much about each other. It's Very Heterosexual lol

I agree it seems like 2 males with their destinies/lives intertwined are either depicted as romantic (rarely) or tragic/dark. Or rather desiring each other = darknesssss Like early bl manga and anime even- from earthian, tokyo babylon, loveless, kaze to ki no uta, ai no kusabi, please save my earth, etc. well, i think if it’s mainstream anime its going to be kind of either sad or played off as humor. 😔 I DO kind of like the darkness here in the story because it fits with their setting and powers. thank u for this summary, at least there’s hope in the end, with the hero overcoming himself and romantic chase and all. It's heartbreaking... But also, good goodness, can you even call this subtext?! All those lying in bed scenes, and all the elements of these two boys being so close... And I just have to say, when the boys are drawn that sparkly and pretty, there's no way anything remotely straight is going on with their character. xD
Still adore Legend of Legendary Hero’s to this day! Watched it when I was in middle school and just loved the chaos/funny moments roll out. I didn’t know until now that Takayuki Kagami is the creator of this manga and Seraph of the End but that’s just makes it better in my eyes. I watched Seraph of the end when it made it’s way onto 2015 anime list being released and fell in love with that anime too!
@@EnigmaBL I just decided to give you the summary of what I can remember of the whole thing. Please note all characters in the OP coz they are the stable characters in the entire story. Here we go... After the anime ends, war began when that red hair king decided that he would conquer the entire continent. Shion went against him in a half-madman half-kind old Shion mode and is all set to expand the territories of Roland in the least bloody but still bloody way. Rainer and Feris decided to go to that other lingdom and reunite whit that poor-prince whose kingdom is next to be conquered on Shion's list. Hile Rainer and Feris got attached to the poor-prince and the orphans he takes care of, Shion almost had a mental break down and Feris's elder bro talked him out of it (I forgot his name let's just call him Nii-sama). Shion sent Feris's little sister to spy on Rainer and Feris. With each childish report imouto gives, Shion got more jealous, I would say, and ended up visiting Rainer in the middle of the night with some sort of teleportation. Shion tried convinsing Rainer to go back but the brown Idiot decided to stay and protect the orphans from the war going on. Shion left and had another mental breakdown and reavaling that he is transforming into another creature entirely, by coughing out sparkling golden blood. Nii-san of course is the only one who knows this and is the only one able to comfort and talk Shion out of his mental anguish and physical. The transformation is very excruciatingly painful and Shion's humanity is also slowly leaving him behind with only a few remaining emotions left. War came upon poor-prince's kingdom and Shion goes there and unleashed this huge spell akin to a meteor shower. Rainer stops it and him and other evacuees... and i forgot what happened after that on Rainer's side. Meanwhile, Keffer got caught bu the red haired king of the north and he fell for her. She decided to play her cards and spy at the eney for Shion and Rainer. She also has no idea that rThe two men split up. Anyway, she found a few horrifying things about the eyes of the stigma users and that there are 5 types of them and that the north kingdom got a collection full of crystalized eyes in their treasury. Keffer got caught in the treasury and was sent to prison. But red hair king let her go and even let her escape back to Roland. Along the way, Keffer met a group of, I forgot what they are really are (Queen's group of another kingdom??). Keffer stayed with them since it was too dangerous for a lone girl to travel alone. Again! I forgot this part, been so long since I read it. Anyway, war is everywhere and this northern king with the red hair and 1 eye kept advancing south as Shion advances north. Shion conquered poor-prince's kingdom along with other kingdoms. With what is left of his kindness as human he let refugees live but killed every noble. The poor-prince only lived coz of Rainer. Shion accepted the stigma eye people in his army starting with that crazy teen who kidnapped Rainer in the anime. It is a partnership that convinced Rainer to go back to Shion because Keffer met up with Rainer and told him of the nort kingdom's use of the crystalized eyes of the stigma bearing children. But before they can go back to Shion, Rainer was caught inside a tower and became Rapunzel minus the long hair. Caught by a wannabe god Rainer was reminded of the origin of his soul and why Shion has to eat him. This wannabe good would like to eat both Rainer and Shion so that it can attain godhood. No, the thing is not human. And to lure in Shion, the thing shape-shifted into Rainer and went to visit Shion. Almost seduced bu the thing Shion nearly went berserker hungry but finally noticed that it is not his beloved Rainer and tried to kill it. The thing escaped. With that shion one again lost a chunck of his humanity and decided to leave the empire to the long-hair purple dude. Meanwhile, Milk squad already in the city where Rainer's tover is located, splied out a plot twist!! Milk is also undergoing a kinder version of Shion's transformation Milk, the human has yet to become aware of the transformation and does not know why she keeps on getting blanks in her memory. Milk, the goddess (while her men are away) remembered how once upon a time she and Shion's original self were both goddesses and were both mates (goddess breeding partners). Yes, yuri giving birth to more yuri. She also reminiscences how her mate was taken away from her when Shion suddenly lost HER programing and became a goddess murderer as a last ditch effort of the world to control the goddess population. Milk followed her transformed mate and slowly witnessed how Shion the goddess turned into a gender neutral black knight spewing out multiple black swords and annihilating all goddess in her path, save for Milk. At a certain point the other goddesses decided that it was time to put a stop to Shion and sealed the gender neutral black knight in a pocket dimension of an abyss. In the abyss he met the original Rainer. The very lonely creature finaly had a companion after being born and beivng so alone in the abyss. Rainer also, gender neutral, fell for the solver haired, golden blood black knight. The firt time Rainer saw colors with in the black abyss. Shion being just a program of the world to execute goddess murders wanted power so that hey can break free of the abyss and go back to the job of annihiting the goddesses. Rainer offered half of his body to be eaten be Shion very happily it was a kind of masochistic offering to this killer automation. They escaped the abyss. Milk got interrupted by her men and one of them were caught by the trying hard to be a god thing. Milk, the goddess, imitated the human Milk and they went to the tower. Mean while in the basement of the tower the eldest and tallest of Milk's men woke up and had to stab a part of his brain to remove the puppetry magic placed on all people in the city. After that he sneaked up the tower and witnessed the non-human Shion in combat with the thing while Rainer looks on in terror... i think. The thing tried to ear Rainer but got eaten or killed instead by a very possessive shion saying that the only one one who can eat Rainer is Shion. Woosh, black god killing swords wooshed like how FSN Gilgamesh would. Then shion ran out of battery and fell unconscious. He woke up chained by Milk's tallest squad member in a tent or something and they all returned to Roland capital. I kind of forgot a lot of information and some events might be a bit far from the original story. The story is very loooooong. Part 2 will be coming soon... I need to refresh the next part coz anything beyond that was forgoten by my brain.

The queen with blue hair offered her kingdom to Rainer and manipulated him with the promise of protecting the stigma eye children, Our idiot magician accepted and so he began paperworks as king assisted by the queen and keffer. Feris just ate dango and sleep. They also took in the refugees of the war. Dead tired of all the paper works Rainer got kidnapped by the wannabe-god and then the tower thing began. Moving forward. After that tower thing was all over and Shion callmed down, he was released from his chains. Nii-sama threatened that tall guy from Milk's squad a bit. Shion went back to his office works still missing Rainer, the main dish. There was a short period of time when all is calm, then the north kingdom arrived to take all that away. Rainer versus red hair king ensues and red king activated a weapon given to them by a goddess. A weapon to negate the original Rainer. Cue Saber going Ex-calibaaaaaaaaaa from FSN vs Rainer Caster... literally. At that moment when hope seems lost Shion came and summoned his black god eating swords and fend off the advances of the north kingdom. Shion then procedded to conquer all territories behind him. This is where Rainer saw first hand that Shion changed Roland and that stigma users were happily co-existing with normal people in Shion's empire. Rainer, Feris, Keffer, the blue haired ex-queen, Milk the human (Rainer's harem) all came under Shion's rule. Shion, kept what remains of his human side and they had another happy period of time at this point. Enter Nii-sama's memories, Feris's family are also in a bit of a bind as the magic sword of the original Feris was kept there in the dojo, the thing that Shion went there for was the magic sword touching it and surviving means that you become king and it will activate the transformation from human into something else for Shion. Everyone else not Shion either died or become king but slowly descends into a madman. In the memory of curent Feris's older brother, he was just another mob character untill he became one with the soul of the sword just to protect the current Feris from being raeped by their father. Transcending the human existence, the elder brother became a kind of guardian diety of the Roland kingdom's kings. He killed the king and placed Shion on the King's seat at the time of the anime. That was also the first time something unexpected happened, a bug occurred in the system. And then Fk everything, a twist!! From the goddess that gave "Excaliber" to the red king, came a twist!! Milk's goddess side also confirmed this part of the story. After Shion and Rainer got out of the abyss they began to slaughter all goddesses they see, save for Milk who were waiting for them outside of the abyss. At this point, Rainer followed Shion and created a magic sword using what remains of Rainer's half eaten body's magic and the uneaten physical half of Rainer became the original Feris with a magic sword. Both black knight Shion and emotionless Feris went ham on the goddesses with their swords. Milk was right behind them witnessing it all. At that point the goddessed became desperate and began to make a curse to trap Shion, Rainer the eaten half, Feris, and the magic sword. The curse of the goddesses made Shion puke out the eaten half of Rainer while sucking all 4 of them (Shion, Rainer the eaten, Feris, and magic sword) in the curse. Back the the present. All that is left is Roland and the north territory ruled by the red haired king. Roland won and the red king fell to his doom sacrificing his body to make excaliber go woosh a large portion of the land. But he can not defeat Shion's swords! The end came as Shion took rule of the entire continent. It does not stop there... coz another twist comes. Beyond the continent, beyond the curse of the goddesses, beyond the world in a world lies another world. The people who reprogrammed the original Shion added another layer to the story and we go back in time again. As revealed by the so called priests, it all began with an immortal bodied titan god Roland who was a not so pleasant character. The priests separated its soul effectively killing it, but the body lived on. To counter the body from reviving, the priests decided to put goddesses there to munch away at the living corpse for eternity. With nothing but only eating and reproducing in mind the goddesses multiplied. The priests had to pluck one of them every now and then by reprogramming a goddess to be a goddess killer. Unfortunately for Shion, he met Rainer in the abyss which was his prison for eternity to be. Several goddesses also went the change and was sealed by other goddesses in their abyss prison. And the whole escape thing. The curse of the goddesses sealed the 4 (Shion, Rainer, Feris, magic sword) in the continent with nothing beyond... world they live in. A second part of the curse was to reset everything back every 1,000 years. Each reset, the fate of Shion, Rainer, and Feris became more and more grim. A constant point of every reset was up untill Shion, Rainer, and Feris is born near the end of the 1,000 years. After their birth the twisted things begin to happen. The only way out of the curse was to seal the eaten half (that was puked out) of the original Rainer, our idiot and sleepy Rainer in that keyhole forever in loneliness. Or... to be eaten be eaten by (a not so human anymore) Shion and with brute force tear up he curse. Also a forever of loneliness inside Shion's stomach. An eternity of loneliness inside a keyhole or a stomach. As Shion the god annihilate the priests and goddesses. Or a new option, just opened up, would be for Shion to eat (a fully transformed) Milk the goddess (meaning Milk the human is erased). As long as Shion can eat one of them Shion will be able to escape with Feris and her magic sword. Shion never did that coz everyone will be erased out of their existence. The continent and the people on it are all made of the curse, a mechanism to make the 4 suffer. Shion (what is left of him as a human) After all that bull crap emperor Shion gave up and continued to rule as a kind king descending into madness. Rainer married Feris and they lived quietly in a corner of roland and had 2 kids. Keffer continued to be a spy for Shion. Nii-sama and Feris's imouto continued to work for Shion. THEN RESET CAME. Notes: (coz my summary is bullcr*p) Shion has a side story depicting how he is in his transformation from human into a half god/goddess. He also receives memories from the original Shion and from the other Shions of every reset. Raep in all forms and directions basically. Yes, Shion and Rainer continued their courtship of each other in the previous difrent resets. Sometimes they are of the same gender and other times be in opposite genders. They would mostly marry each other when they are a hetero pair. Feris is always there with her sword being Feris doing nothing but eat dango and swing her sword. Feris's Nii-sama is always there protecting her and Shion. Milk the goddess only got there in the time line of the anime/source material. It is unknown if she was there in the other previous resets... it seems. Northern red king is also the constant villain in every reset that will force Shion and Rainer to make heavy decisions when the time comes. The priest and goddesses are scared of Shion's final form so much so that they are willing to sacrifice Rainer to death or to the keyhole. The priests can't directly manipulate the world of the curse so they reprogram goddesses and send them in the world of the goddess curse to stir things up. I did my best to summarise the whole thing... but my best is not enough. I wish you can understand what I put here coz the story of DenYuuDen is insane.

A lot of anime shows have bromance in them however it is shown time and time again that the characters are hetero because of the female characters, the Anime Death Note has some bromance in it but it is obvious that Light is in to women with how he reacts to them, He also has Misa Amane be his girlfriend for a time so that L and the team force don't suspect him instead but they are intent on catching Kira even more after that, Light gets into the team force though and he only uses Misa but still, He doesn't even want his own father to suspect him for being Kira, I think his father already knew anyway and L was close to finding out and actually did but it was too late. If he was not straight I don't think he would have gone to such lengths also Misa Amane was not the only woman that he was involved with, I guess he could be asexual/aromatic or bisexual but still I don't think so. Alucard from Castlevania is either asexual/aromatic or heterosexual/straight or maybe just bisexual/pansexual. Either way he is not truly homosexual and neither is Light Yagami from Death Note. But these are characters so they are fictional fantasy so. also Devil Crybaby was really bizarre but it might just be bromance or if not than bl or something else entirely.
Uh thanks for picking my video to get on your soap box about this I guess. I rarely think these characters are strictly "gay." I tend to see them as pansexual. There are actual canonically gay characters in like every medium. Fictional or not their inclusion still matters.

Shion sent Feris's little sister to spy on Rainer and Feris.
With each childish report imouto gives, Shion got more jealous, I would say, and ended up visiting Rainer in the middle of the night with some sort of teleportation. Shion tried convinsing Rainer to go back but the brown Idiot decided to stay and protect the orphans from the war going on.
Shion left and had another mental breakdown and reavaling that he is transforming into another creature entirely, by coughing out sparkling golden blood. Nii-san of course is the only one who knows this and is the only one able to comfort and talk Shion out of his mental anguish and physical. The transformation is very excruciatingly painful and Shion's humanity is also slowly leaving him behind with only a few remaining emotions left.
War came upon poor-prince's kingdom and Shion goes there and unleashed this huge spell akin to a meteor shower. Rainer stops it and him and other evacuees... and i forgot what happened after that on Rainer's side.
Meanwhile, Keffer got caught bu the red haired king of the north and he fell for her. She decided to play her cards and spy at the eney for Shion and Rainer. She also has no idea that rThe two men split up. Anyway, she found a few horrifying things about the eyes of the stigma users and that there are 5 types of them and that the north kingdom got a collection full of crystalized eyes in their treasury. Keffer got caught in the treasury and was sent to prison. But red hair king let her go and even let her escape back to Roland.
Along the way, Keffer met a group of, I forgot what they are really are (Queen's group of another kingdom??). Keffer stayed with them since it was too dangerous for a lone girl to travel alone. Again! I forgot this part, been so long since I read it.
Anyway, war is everywhere and this northern king with the red hair and 1 eye kept advancing south as Shion advances north. Shion conquered poor-prince's kingdom along with other kingdoms. With what is left of his kindness as human he let refugees live but killed every noble. The poor-prince only lived coz of Rainer.
Shion accepted the stigma eye people in his army starting with that crazy teen who kidnapped Rainer in the anime. It is a partnership that convinced Rainer to go back to Shion because Keffer met up with Rainer and told him of the nort kingdom's use of the crystalized eyes of the stigma bearing children.
But before they can go back to Shion, Rainer was caught inside a tower and became Rapunzel minus the long hair. Caught by a wannabe god Rainer was reminded of the origin of his soul and why Shion has to eat him. This wannabe good would like to eat both Rainer and Shion so that it can attain godhood. No, the thing is not human. And to lure in Shion, the thing shape-shifted into Rainer and went to visit Shion.
Almost seduced bu the thing Shion nearly went berserker hungry but finally noticed that it is not his beloved Rainer and tried to kill it. The thing escaped. With that shion one again lost a chunck of his humanity and decided to leave the empire to the long-hair purple dude.
Meanwhile, Milk squad already in the city where Rainer's tover is located, splied out a plot twist!! Milk is also undergoing a kinder version of Shion's transformation Milk, the human has yet to become aware of the transformation and does not know why she keeps on getting blanks in her memory.
Milk, the goddess (while her men are away) remembered how once upon a time she and Shion's original self were both goddesses and were both mates (goddess breeding partners). Yes, yuri giving birth to more yuri. She also reminiscences how her mate was taken away from her when Shion suddenly lost HER programing and became a goddess murderer as a last ditch effort of the world to control the goddess population.
Milk followed her transformed mate and slowly witnessed how Shion the goddess turned into a gender neutral black knight spewing out multiple black swords and annihilating all goddess in her path, save for Milk. At a certain point the other goddesses decided that it was time to put a stop to Shion and sealed the gender neutral black knight in a pocket dimension of an abyss.
In the abyss he met the original Rainer. The very lonely creature finaly had a companion after being born and beivng so alone in the abyss. Rainer also, gender neutral, fell for the solver haired, golden blood black knight. The firt time Rainer saw colors with in the black abyss.
Shion being just a program of the world to execute goddess murders wanted power so that hey can break free of the abyss and go back to the job of annihiting the goddesses. Rainer offered half of his body to be eaten be Shion very happily it was a kind of masochistic offering to this killer automation. They escaped the abyss.
Milk got interrupted by her men and one of them were caught by the trying hard to be a god thing. Milk, the goddess, imitated the human Milk and they went to the tower.
Mean while in the basement of the tower the eldest and tallest of Milk's men woke up and had to stab a part of his brain to remove the puppetry magic placed on all people in the city. After that he sneaked up the tower and witnessed the non-human Shion in combat with the thing while Rainer looks on in terror... i think.
The thing tried to ear Rainer but got eaten or killed instead by a very possessive shion saying that the only one one who can eat Rainer is Shion. Woosh, black god killing swords wooshed like how FSN Gilgamesh would. Then shion ran out of battery and fell unconscious. He woke up chained by Milk's tallest squad member in a tent or something and they all returned to Roland capital.
I kind of forgot a lot of information and some events might be a bit far from the original story. The story is very loooooong. Part 2 will be coming soon... I need to refresh the next part coz anything beyond that was forgoten by my brain.

Before that tower happened, just when Keefer reunited with Rainer...
The queen with blue hair offered her kingdom to Rainer and manipulated him with the promise of protecting the stigma eye children, Our idiot magician accepted and so he began paperworks as king assisted by the queen and keffer. Feris just ate dango and sleep. They also took in the refugees of the war. Dead tired of all the paper works Rainer got kidnapped by the wannabe-god and then the tower thing began.
Moving forward. After that tower thing was all over and Shion callmed down, he was released from his chains. Nii-sama threatened that tall guy from Milk's squad a bit. Shion went back to his office works still missing Rainer, the main dish.
There was a short period of time when all is calm, then the north kingdom arrived to take all that away. Rainer versus red hair king ensues and red king activated a weapon given to them by a goddess. A weapon to negate the original Rainer. Cue Saber going Ex-calibaaaaaaaaaa from FSN vs Rainer Caster... literally.
At that moment when hope seems lost Shion came and summoned his black god eating swords and fend off the advances of the north kingdom. Shion then procedded to conquer all territories behind him. This is where Rainer saw first hand that Shion changed Roland and that stigma users were happily co-existing with normal people in Shion's empire.
Rainer, Feris, Keffer, the blue haired ex-queen, Milk the human (Rainer's harem) all came under Shion's rule. Shion, kept what remains of his human side and they had another happy period of time at this point.
Enter Nii-sama's memories, Feris's family are also in a bit of a bind as the magic sword of the original Feris was kept there in the dojo, the thing that Shion went there for was the magic sword touching it and surviving means that you become king and it will activate the transformation from human into something else for Shion. Everyone else not Shion either died or become king but slowly descends into a madman.
In the memory of curent Feris's older brother, he was just another mob character untill he became one with the soul of the sword just to protect the current Feris from being raeped by their father. Transcending the human existence, the elder brother became a kind of guardian diety of the Roland kingdom's kings. He killed the king and placed Shion on the King's seat at the time of the anime.
That was also the first time something unexpected happened, a bug occurred in the system.
And then Fk everything, a twist!! From the goddess that gave "Excaliber" to the red king, came a twist!! Milk's goddess side also confirmed this part of the story.
After Shion and Rainer got out of the abyss they began to slaughter all goddesses they see, save for Milk who were waiting for them outside of the abyss. At this point, Rainer followed Shion and created a magic sword using what remains of Rainer's half eaten body's magic and the uneaten physical half of Rainer became the original Feris with a magic sword. Both black knight Shion and emotionless Feris went ham on the goddesses with their swords. Milk was right behind them witnessing it all.
At that point the goddessed became desperate and began to make a curse to trap Shion, Rainer the eaten half, Feris, and the magic sword. The curse of the goddesses made Shion puke out the eaten half of Rainer while sucking all 4 of them (Shion, Rainer the eaten, Feris, and magic sword) in the curse.
Back the the present.
All that is left is Roland and the north territory ruled by the red haired king. Roland won and the red king fell to his doom sacrificing his body to make excaliber go woosh a large portion of the land. But he can not defeat Shion's swords! The end came as Shion took rule of the entire continent.
It does not stop there... coz another twist comes. Beyond the continent, beyond the curse of the goddesses, beyond the world in a world lies another world. The people who reprogrammed the original Shion added another layer to the story and we go back in time again.
As revealed by the so called priests, it all began with an immortal bodied titan god Roland who was a not so pleasant character. The priests separated its soul effectively killing it, but the body lived on. To counter the body from reviving, the priests decided to put goddesses there to munch away at the living corpse for eternity. With nothing but only eating and reproducing in mind the goddesses multiplied. The priests had to pluck one of them every now and then by reprogramming a goddess to be a goddess killer.
Unfortunately for Shion, he met Rainer in the abyss which was his prison for eternity to be. Several goddesses also went the change and was sealed by other goddesses in their abyss prison. And the whole escape thing. The curse of the goddesses sealed the 4 (Shion, Rainer, Feris, magic sword) in the continent with nothing beyond... world they live in. A second part of the curse was to reset everything back every 1,000 years.
Each reset, the fate of Shion, Rainer, and Feris became more and more grim. A constant point of every reset was up untill Shion, Rainer, and Feris is born near the end of the 1,000 years. After their birth the twisted things begin to happen.
The only way out of the curse was to seal the eaten half (that was puked out) of the original Rainer, our idiot and sleepy Rainer in that keyhole forever in loneliness. Or... to be eaten be eaten by (a not so human anymore) Shion and with brute force tear up he curse. Also a forever of loneliness inside Shion's stomach. An eternity of loneliness inside a keyhole or a stomach. As Shion the god annihilate the priests and goddesses.
Or a new option, just opened up, would be for Shion to eat (a fully transformed) Milk the goddess (meaning Milk the human is erased). As long as Shion can eat one of them Shion will be able to escape with Feris and her magic sword. Shion never did that coz everyone will be erased out of their existence. The continent and the people on it are all made of the curse, a mechanism to make the 4 suffer. Shion (what is left of him as a human)
After all that bull crap emperor Shion gave up and continued to rule as a kind king descending into madness. Rainer married Feris and they lived quietly in a corner of roland and had 2 kids. Keffer continued to be a spy for Shion. Nii-sama and Feris's imouto continued to work for Shion.
THEN RESET CAME.
Notes: (coz my summary is bullcr*p)
Shion has a side story depicting how he is in his transformation from human into a half god/goddess. He also receives memories from the original Shion and from the other Shions of every reset. Raep in all forms and directions basically.
Yes, Shion and Rainer continued their courtship of each other in the previous difrent resets. Sometimes they are of the same gender and other times be in opposite genders. They would mostly marry each other when they are a hetero pair.
Feris is always there with her sword being Feris doing nothing but eat dango and swing her sword. Feris's Nii-sama is always there protecting her and Shion.
Milk the goddess only got there in the time line of the anime/source material. It is unknown if she was there in the other previous resets... it seems.
Northern red king is also the constant villain in every reset that will force Shion and Rainer to make heavy decisions when the time comes.
The priest and goddesses are scared of Shion's final form so much so that they are willing to sacrifice Rainer to death or to the keyhole. The priests can't directly manipulate the world of the curse so they reprogram goddesses and send them in the world of the goddess curse to stir things up.
I did my best to summarise the whole thing... but my best is not enough. I wish you can understand what I put here coz the story of DenYuuDen is insane.

A lot of anime shows have bromance in them however it is shown time and time again that the characters are hetero because of the female characters, the Anime Death Note has some bromance in it but it is obvious that Light is in to women with how he reacts to them, He also has Misa Amane be his girlfriend for a time so that L and the team force don't suspect him instead but they are intent on catching Kira even more after that, Light gets into the team force though and he only uses Misa but still, He doesn't even want his own father to suspect him for being Kira, I think his father already knew anyway and L was close to finding out and actually did but it was too late. If he was not straight I don't think he would have gone to such lengths also Misa Amane was not the only woman that he was involved with, I guess he could be asexual/aromatic or bisexual but still I don't think so.
Alucard from Castlevania is either asexual/aromatic or heterosexual/straight or maybe just bisexual/pansexual. Either way he is not truly homosexual and neither is Light Yagami from Death Note.
But these are characters so they are fictional fantasy so.

Uh thanks for picking my video to get on your soap box about this I guess. I rarely think these characters are strictly "gay." I tend to see them as pansexual. There are actual canonically gay characters in like every medium. Fictional or not their inclusion still matters.
