Uh, do you remember that weekend we spent at that breakfast place and skipped breakfast? No. Steven, how many people do you think are in this room? No. Steven, Steven, do you remember how you always said that we have the three more wonderful, thoughtful, considerate children in the whole world? Steven Keaton: Those are the three most selfish, spoiled, inconsiderate children in the world! Elise Keaton: What happened? How come you're home a day early? Steven Keaton: Elise, this is not my idea of a relaxing drive up into the mountains: (makes a boom sound 3 times). Elise Keaton: Oh. Mallory Keaton: Alex it's an honest mistake. It could have happened to anybody. Alex P. Keaton: Not anybody who walks erect. Elise Keaton: What happened? Alex P. Keaton: Well, thanks to Mallory, we went camping without a tent. Elise Keaton: Now, wait a minute. I just saw your dad put the tent in the trunk himself. Alex P. Keaton: Yeah, Mom, what you didn't see was Mallory taking the tent out of the trunk to make room for her makeup table. Mallory Keaton: I didn't think it was anything important. I thought it was Alex's sleeping bag. Alex P. Keaton: And where was I supposed to sleep, Mallory, in a tree? Mallory Keaton argues with Alex) Steven Keaton: Uh, where's Jennifer? Alex P. Keaton: Well, I told her to take our gear down off the luggage rack. Steven Keaton: Jennifer, leave the gear! Just come inside! (Sighs) (To Alex) Why did you tell her to do that? Alex P. Keaton: Dad I knew she was disappointed about the camping trip, so I thought this was a good way to get some fresh air. (Jennifer Keaton came in last) Look at those rosy cheeks. Jennifer Keaton: I couldn't get the sleeping bag untied. They were up too high. Alex P. Keaton: Hey, uh, the ladder is in garage, Jennifer. Steven Keaton: Alex. Jennifer Keaton: Alex, you think you're the boss over me. Mallory Keaton: He thinks he's the boss over everybody, Jennifer. Elise Keaton: Oh, now what's the matter? Mallory, Jennifer and Alex P. Keaton argues with their father while the three of them are furious) Steven Keaton: Hold it! Hold it! Up to your rooms, now. (Jennifer and Mallory walked away from their parents in the kitchen while leaving Alex P. Keaton alone) Alex P. Keaton: Uh, Dad I think I'm a little old to be sent to my room. Steven Keaton: You're also too old to be whining in the car the whole way back. Alex P. Keaton: I wasn't whining. Steven Keaton: Get up there. (Alex kicks the counter and was the last one to be sent right up to his room upstairs)
