All I wanted as a kid was to have a dad like his character in Family Ties.

I used to watch Family Ties when I was 11, 33 years ago!! And today it popped on the tv and I just realized it’s Monica Geller 😂

He is a talented dude. I like seeing actors who are totally different in real life than the characters they play... it shows a real range of talent.

As a side note you just don't see kids wearing overalls anymore especially boys. Something that just disappeared sometime after the 90's I guess. Yet another example of our culture having no color or character anymore. Just generic and bland

Steven Keaton: You're also too old to be whining in the car the whole way back. Alex P. Keaton: I wasn't whining. Steven Keaton: Get up there. (Alex kicks the counter and was the last one to be sent right up to his room upstairs)

I've thought about this quite a bit since seeing this great routine by Tom. He is so REAL, so much a "regular guy", yet he has excellent talent and public speaking ability, I think he would be an EXCELLENT late night TV host. I think Johnny Carson will always be the King and the highest example to try and emulate. Tom Wilson, just like Johnny C, is just a regular guy at heart. I believe Tom Wilson would Thrive, and actually be as good and popular as Johnny Carson and David Letterman. Just my opinion, but I have thought about this a lot. But, Tom W is so grounded in reality and probably HAPPY with his home life, he just doesn't NEED IT, like most of the shallow types that are presented to us now.

Alex had a little entanglement with another college student and fell out of love with Lauren and broke her heart before the end of the series.

This gentleman is more talented than his fame shows... What the hell is that about... He is a real person with real talent and loveabity...

Loved this show.

I remember seeing this on TV a week before BTTF Part 2 came out. It really gave away a lot of the story. I guess the studios weren't as shy about spoiling the movie back then as they are now.
