When you're own family was horrible and sitcoms like this gave you hope about the world. Thank you to all who participated in all good sitcoms. They made the 80s the bomb

So adorable. He actually always LOVED his family, every and each of them! He is very sensitive and caring guy, even being a Conservative republican, money was on a second place. This episode made me cry, its beautiful a d sincere. Love it so much ❤
I watched Family Ties every Thursday at 8:30. I knew it was bedtime when I heard " Sit UBU sit, good dog!" Family Ties was like my Holidays show. It had a homely festive vibe that I guess I associated with Thanksgiving & Christmas. And every year I go back to visit these clips.👍
@@littlemiss80s88 Alex is the old school republican. Esp by current standards. He cares for others. In another Christmas episode when he is playing mall Santa he reunites a daughter with her father.
En mi país Perú, la serie se llamó LAZOS FAMILIARES. Alex P. Keaton lo máximo. Buenos recuerdos. Me alegra que Michael y su esposa hayan formado un matrimonio sólido.
First time I saw it was the episode it was on a taped and VCR tape and my grandfather's house years ago they're doing the Garfield Christmas and they also had a claymation Christmas.
In a broader sense, yes it's a homage to a Christmas Carol, but that's not what I mean. There's a scene in Friends where Joey and Chandler leave it too late to get Christmas presents, and end up exchanging gas station gifts "and for you Ross, 2 cans of soda" etc

They all are Jewish in real life hahaha

Alex found the true meaning of Christmas in his own wonderfully hilarious Alex-y way.

When Michael said Jennifer I was like MARTY?!
I love this episode. It's very sweet.
This was one of my favorite shows as a kid.
How I would love to live in that house with my son always love their house it the most beautiful of any sitcom. Love Michael J Fox
I loved it too.
One of the best shows!!!
Those singers outside has been waiting there all this time🌲

I wish Alex was my brother

Me too!!! :)
I wish he was my best friend ;)
I wish he was me
If he was my brother, I’d cry. Because I’d want him to be my husband instead
Alex: Mallorys not pregnant! Steve ,elsye and mallory: WHAT!? Alex: I mean, mallorys not president! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
But hey in this country … she could be! 😂
@@littlemiss80s88 I'd vote for Mallory.

Alex could have just let the father work for money and more money. But no he actually did value family.
@@robinorlowski2449he’s the type of Republican this country sorely needs!😔😍🤩
I thought Alex gave Jennifer a six pack of Root Beer. That would have been lucky.
Dont forget the Christmas List w Mimi Rogers!
If he had Steven's Cup of coffee in the sack wouldn't the coffee have spilled out everywhere?
That was my thought as well. Lol
I'd wish that could have found Justine bateman, under my 🎄 Christmas tree, at that time. She was so beautiful.
mmm
The writers must have loved Michael Gross because he didn't need funny lines to be funny.
Same as fof Michael J Fox :) both Michaels were on TOP,and Justine along. Others were all really great, but those 3 , just over the line of talent!
yep

I found a one hour laundry open . I have every ones clothes clean and pressed !
The only thing you can’t get at 7-11 anymore is the TV guide.
I adore this episode 🎅🏼 … you are not selling dirt while I’m alive!!
Awww.

look at his jacket, bozo thinks he's gonna drown
What episode
Didn't the camera say "load film " now. Just after this scene was cut ??
That does sound familiar.
Que linda serie me recuerda a mi ñinez
They just shut the door on the carolers that waited patiently for their cue.
So when does Burt start blowing up some graboids?
Family ties

💘😍
I remember discovering puberty by watching Justine Bateman
Wow, Friends ripped off so many older sitcoms, I never realised :/
I'm assuming that they ripped this scene off? I'm not surprised a lot of shows rip off other shows and mostly the older ones.
Wasn't this episode a "ripoff" of 'A Christmas Carol'?
In a broader sense, yes it's a homage to a Christmas Carol, but that's not what I mean. There's a scene in Friends where Joey and Chandler leave it too late to get Christmas presents, and end up exchanging gas station gifts "and for you Ross, 2 cans of soda" etc
To the people saying this sit com did a "ripoff." There are lots of shows that pay homage of movies popular past TV shows !!
And then The Big Bang Theory ripped off Friends. It's the circle of tv life! Lol
i wish The Michael J. Fox Show could,ve been on during the 80s and 90s it came too late that show was stupid
The writers were stupid, it was an insult to Michael j Fox
