      Rogan tries to play the "Bro, I don't care either way. I just wanna get high and talk shit" card, and yet 90% of his guests with political opinions are Right Wing/I swear I'm not Right Wing grifters. The only one Joe semi-called out, because - like - her arguments were so blatantly b.s. and jr. high, was Candace Owens. Rogan knows that Sam would gladly appear on his show to back up every criticism of the GOP Grift Gang. There's a reason why he hasn't extended an invite.

    • @Hhhhhh-sz9ud

      Pretty Rickey he called out Dave Rubin on some stuff before. He doesn't have Sam Seder on because his show's format doesn't fit will with Sam's show style. Not saying Sam can only talk the way he does on the show, but that the a lot of the focus of his show is criticism of people which isn't what Rogan likes to talk about on his show. I think it'd make much more sense for Michael to go on since his show talks about foreign policy and stuff primarily.

      @@Hhhhhh-sz9ud Of course seder could BS his way through a couple hour podcast with brain-dead Rogan, dont be absurd. The reason Joe doesnt have him on is that 1) he's not really that interesting or noteworthy and 2) His positions would make 3/4's of Joe's audience - who prefer their red-baiting hysteria - lose their mush-brains

    use that type of framing. ''leftists gets schooled'', '' leftists gets destroyed'', ''liberal tears'', ''Trump derangement syndrome'' etc...
    People like Dave Rubin created a brand as the ''alternative media'' in opposition to the ''Media'' that relies on sensationalism, mistruths, identity politics and political agenda. People like dave rubin go to college campuses to ''school'' teenagers about how much they're snowflakes and ''owns'' them for views. Dave Rubin is the '' battle of ideas''-man himself, the free-speech absolutist. Then how come you hardly see any progressive on his show? How come whenever he invites someone who claims to be on the right or critical of the left, he almost never pushes back( like closeted NAZI Stephan Molyneux for example). I notice that about Joe. Once he gets to know someone personally, have dinner with them, and consider them his friend, he gets really biased. It's really obvious that most of the time, when Dave Rubin gets roasted, it's his own fault. Saying really stupid things or obviously lying. Even Joe caught Dave doing this a couple of times on his own podcast on air. It's like he's willfully ignoring this fact...

    Again. I honestly can't tell if Rogan is just misinformed, or is actually disingenuous, and trying to play to a certain side. But just in how he talks about Rubin, it feels like he's either very biased, or extremely naïve. And the defense that Rubin is "just BS-ing," is absurd. But really missing the point, too, imo. It's not just that Rubin is talking out of his ass. It's that he's lying about very specific things, in very specific ways. When Joe leaves that part out, I really wonder why. Does he really not understand how important that is? Or is he just trying to help Rubin? And why is Rogan trying to help Rubin anyway? Did I miss something?

    Priceless moment at the end with Micheal & Sam off the Dave rubin sound drop

  • @undergroundo
    @undergroundo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    IN DEFENCE OF DAVE RUBIN (hear me out):
    I think that taking the good and the bad, Dave Rubin is a positive gain to the world, not because he is particularly brilliant, or because he has complex views, but because of the role he plays with young right-leaning people. It is true that he is a "one-trick pony", but his trick--"Talk to people who disagree with you and try to find an opinion with which you actually agree"--is needed.
    It's like Jazz.
    If you want to get someone into Jazz, you can't give them a copy of Tim Berne's Science Friction, because they would just get nauseous and forget about the whole "jazz thing" forever. Instead, you start with Louis Armstrong and work your way up.
    Now, imagine all of those millions of teenagers, born and raised into conservative homes and communities. Suddenly they hit 18 years of age and start to wonder if there's more to life than games and partying. "Maybe I should take a look at this 'politics thing' people can't seem to stop talking about". They are NOT going to start their journey by listening to Sam, or anyone from the left. I know you wish they would, but they won't. So, I mild, soft "righty" like Dave, who also has some traditionally left opinions, like gay marriage, pro-choice, and the like, is a good starting point.
    Being open to talking to people on the other side, and being respectful, is IMO what this world needs.
