He has struggled to defend his politics against such hardball interviewers as Joe Rogan, a man who usually absorbs the bad opinions of his guests like a bread roll soaking up soup. In general, he seems a sort of bland, bumbling figure, who somehow stumbled his way into an 800,000-subscriber TH-cam channel. But look beyond the vacant eyes and the vague truisms. Rubin knows what he’s doing. And, judging by the state of the discourse, he’s doing it pretty well."*

Michael losing his shit at Dave Rubin or Meghan McCain saying something stupid is my sexuality.
John from Nebraska is about 50 years younger than I thought he was.
The more I've listened to Dave Rubin the more I've come to understand his dialectic. First he counts on your stupidity. Then he counts on his own stupidity. Then he quotes platitudes. And after being struck with a blow like this to our amazement Dave Rubin will act the next day like nothing had happened except that he won the argument, rattling off the same nonsense as before.
He really leaves me thunderstruck
I don't know whether to be amazed at his fast talk or his talent for lying
Gradually I've begun to hate Dave Rubin
He truly is jelly-like slime.
Insults run off him like water off a raincoat
I've heard he debates you as he cries out in ignorance.
At first I could not help but be amazed at how short a time it took this great evil power within Dave's show to create a certain opinion even where it meant totally falsifying profound desires and views which surely existed among the public. In a few days a ridiculous episode had become a significant state action, while conversely, at the same time, vital problems fell prey to public oblivion, or rather were simply filched from the memory and consciousness of the masses.
Thus, in the course of a few weeks it was possible to conjure up names out of the void to be a guest on the show, to associate them with incredible hopes on the part of the broad public, even to give them popularity which the really great man often does not obtain his whole life long; names which a month before no one had even seen or heard of, while at the same time old and proved figures of political or other public life, though in the best of health, simply died as far as their fellow men were concerned, or were heaped with such vile insults that their names soon threatened to become the symbol of some definite act of infamy or villainy. We must study this vile technique of Rubin's of emptying garbage pails full of the vilest slanders and defamations from hundreds and hundreds of sources at once, suddenly and as if by magic, on the clean garments of honorable men, if we are fully to appreciate the entire menace represented by these scoundrels of the media.
Deep voice man, should voice a film Noir style documentary, about Dive Rubin called: ideas!

This guy should have his own radio show because he sounds like he should be boring you to sleep, but something about his pace, and other aspects of his personality make it endlessly entertaining to listen to.

I just discovered Brooks about a week ago, and just found out today he's no longer with us. Brutal. Really enjoy his videos. A smart guy giving honest opinions with a good sense of humor. I hope that will be his legacy.

Hearing Michael's laugh makes me laugh along with him. But every now and then I pause and get this sick feeling. We lost such an amazing, charismatic, magnetic and funny intellectual, far too soon.

My grandfather had lots of properties and he passed away before 60. My father at my age had a fully paid house, several cars and 4 kids, and my mom never had to work. I have a much better education than my dad and better job positions but none of that has translated into a better outcome.

Darth Wheezius i went with the simple approach to avoid getting into a long answer, LOL. But you are surely correct, back in the good old days people had better relative incomes. The consumer price index has risen 45% in the last 20 years and real wages for the lower 90% have remained stagnant. So the purchasing power of the average person will continue to erode and the top 10% will get richer until something breaks.
