    Acts of terrorism, which mass shootings are, are inherently political. "Why do people have to politicise them?" is something an idiot/grifter would say. He had a manifesto FFS. It was politically motivated.

    • @akumakorgar
      @akumakorgar 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Best definition of politics I ever heard was the process by which the distribution of resources is decided. All kinds of resources, not just raw materials and cash but human capital etc. Anytime there's a crisis or catastrophe of any sort, the most prominent question should be, imo, why didn't we have the resources in place to prevent this? Do we have the resources available to make sure it doesn't happen again? And if not, how do we get those resources and make them available for the future? This is all a political process. Doing anything else is just cursing the darkness instead of lighting a candle.

    • @TayTayMakesBeats
      @TayTayMakesBeats 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wouldn't say mass shootings are inherently political. They tend to be driven by (particularly far-right) politics but sometimes it's just a senseless act of violence by a disturbed individual. Often in those cases there's a political conclusion to be drawn (gun control, red flag laws, the treatment and understanding of mental illness and so on the) not all are political acts. This one definitely was though, the "you're making this political" excuse is pathetic.

    • @yournamehere7862
      @yournamehere7862 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@TayTayMakesBeats well even senseless acts of violence by disturbed individuals is political. There were political decisions made by people like reason in the 80s who completely dismantled this country's mental health institutions, directly leading to an increased likelyhood for senseless violence. Ultimately, everything relating to society is political in one way or another the moment you consider that the manner in which we are socially, economically, and culturally organized are all decisions people made towards one end or another. It's all political.

      @@TayTayMakesBeats I see what you’re saying. But even the most mentally ill person in the world believes what they are doing in the moment is right. This specific mass shooting was political, end of sentence. A high school shooting is likely not political, but social contract has been broken somehow (bullying, no safety net) etc and the person reacts violently. In the moment, they thought it was the right move for some sort of reaction and resolution to the problem.

  • @toehairyum

    Anyone else notice how much more often Tucker mentions God now than in previous years? Let me take you into the mind of your average religious conservative. Any of them who have any disagreements with Tucker's will ignore that voice of conscience because "Even if some of his opinions aren't the same as mine, I trust that his heart and motivations are in the right place because he's a fellow believer.". That's the mindset. And since conservative punditry has already conditioned their base into believing that anyone who professes belief in God is brave and will be oppressed the actual bar to prove that you're a Christian is at an all-time low. Co-opting your message with religion is the single easiest way to get people to blindly follow you, so the fact that Tucker is using religion to smuggle in a movement in favor of white supremacy is sickening. It's indistinguishable from the tactics cult leaders employ.

    • @hahahaha147
      @hahahaha147 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don't care about Christians. More than likely you despise Christians, so what difference does it make if Tucker is a Christian or not? The point these people are trying to make is that Tucker influenced the Buffalo shooter because of his factual statements about Democrats trying to overrun our borders with illegal immigrants to replace American voters, which is true. Democrat politicians and tv pundits have been bragging about it for years. I'm sure you heard the line about white people becoming a minority by 2050? They constantly brag about demographic change. So why are you people blaming Tucker for saying the very same things that Democrats have been talking about for years? I can show you example after example.
