    Painting our Airbnb was easy with this new paint sprayer - we plan to use it on all the rooms. This was our test run and we found it saved a lot of time - even considering that there was a bit more prep work and more time cleaning up the sprayer after the project was complete.

  • @photog1529
    @photog1529 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Probably a PITA to keep having to refill the container...an airless would probably be the better option when painting a very large area such as walls and ceilings. But this looks to be a great paint gun for smaller projects such as cabinets and doors.

    • @Nestrs
      @Nestrs  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Photog 1 thats a great point. If it is only one room I think you are fine. If you are doing multiple spaces I would agree with you on getting an airless sprayer or roll it. The airless sprayer is going to be a bigger investment. Typically, I use and would recommend this sprayer for smaller projects. Thanks for your comment!

    I was told I couldn’t tilt the finish max sprayer back like this to paint our ceilings as paint could run into the motor and ruin it. Please clarify as I’d love to paint our ceilings this way. Thanks!

    • @Nestrs
      @Nestrs  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh! Interesting. That's not how we understood it. As long as you didn't tilt it a complete 90 degrees and changed the angle of the pick-up tube, you can totally tackle your ceilings! Since this video we've done other spaces with this same tool and it still works great and it knocks out ceilings in no time!

      I was surprised to see them doing that in an instructional video as well. The Super Finish Max instructions say not to tip more than 45 degrees "when the motor is switched off". Wagner Flexio sprayers (595, 3500, etc) say not to tip more than 45 degrees and make no mention of having the motor being off or on, although the Flexio has a switch to turn the motor on continuously. Presumably the airflow prevents paint from running back into the turbine.

    even though I see you doing it, first of all, the finish on that ceiling you knocked out "so fast" is bad. Further, HomeRight says you do not use this on ceilings because it risks getting paint in the motor. Viewer beware. You do NOT keep a stiff wrist when spraying. You keep a LOOSE wrist and keep the sprayer pointed directly at the surface. Just keep it perpendicular/90 degree to the surface, therefore, move the wrist.

    • @Nestrs
      @Nestrs  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment AUTONOMOUS. The paint actually covered great and I have no reason to say otherwise. To be fair these are old plaster ceilings and walls with many imperfections. As far as getting paint in the motor, I just did not have that problem... I will say this, I tend to paint most of my properties with rollers and brushes. Mostly because the sprayer it loud and I usually paint in the evenings where I would be disturbing my tenants. I personally think the sprayer is ideal for specialty projects like furniture, shutters etc.

      So I'm new to this. In the process of building a house. I've got about 4 months to decide what route I want or need to take as far as painting, so I'm trying to learn what I can vs being quoted $4500 on a buddy painting for me. I kinda thought the same thing. From what I can tell, it looks blotchy. Especially the ceiling. How do I avoid that? Would it be better to just rent a professional paint sprayer vs buying a cheapo for about the same price? Once the paint dries, is it going to be uniform or will I still see overlap??
