skinny jeans definitely died among the "fashion aware" crowd but for the general population that isn't so fashion focused, skinny jeans or rather slim fit jeans are a staple that's going to remain in peoples wardrobes forever
shut up skinny jeans died 4 explore page lurking trend hopping oldheadz trying 2 keep up with the youngins u out here sayin people who wear skinny jeans dont put thought in2 it if u not really tapped in with the up n coming just say that😭 dont ever say we not aware cuz u the 1 sounding mad unaware that boy drew like 35 no hairline ass boy dresslike everybody else ass like a fukkin sartorial lumberjack n u think he fashion aware 😭
Slim jeans are not going to be in people's wardrobes forever. Just like when skinny jeans became a hit in youth culture circa 2009 (in NYC), it will take awhile for the mainstream to adopt it and leave behind their baggy jeans.
Football (soccer) kits have always been fashionable in countries where it is the predominant sport. I think the reason it appears as if it’s just a recent thing is due to the recent increase in popularity of soccer in America. Myself and many people I know have been wearing football kits as part of our outfits long before I heard the term “bloke core”
I think the fashion forward people are rarely the ones following trends. You see this a lot with the fashionable older people in NY, who seem to have a bit more fun and creativity with their outfits than the kids at places like FIT, who seem a bit terrified to wear something that's not in season.
As a Gen X stylish older New Yorker, I understand what you mean in this message. Now this is not a contradiction, more of an add on to clarify. I’ll quote one of my favorite influencers Brown Girl Chee “Fashion & Style are two different things”. Style is embedded in one’s dna it seems, fashion follows a forecast and determines the looks of the next season.
I just saw a depressing video from fashion students . They had horrible fashion sense. I was bored and shocked . They think by saying "I thrifted this" its an immediate stamp of approval🤨 their fit is giving homeless /bag lady/90s goth reject.
i agree with the last take about skinny jeans not really dying. while yes a lot more fashion oriented people are wearing wider pants, there’s still a lot of people who wear skinny jeans. as someone who works at a grocery in the middle of my city, i see a lot of different people on a daily basis. with a wide variety of people comes a wide variety of different kinds of pants and i can say that a lot more people than you might expect still wear skinny jeans. skinny jeans still work well on certain body types and for some people are still the most comfortable style of pants they wear. the average person is going to wear the clothes that make them feel the most comfortable and make them look the best.
That was me, this is exactly the angle i was coming from. On top of that, they are pretty popular with plus size individuals because of how stretchy they tend to be. I still see them everywhere i go. I do agree with drew that most of those people definitely aren't being intentional with their decisions, so he's right from that angle. Nonetheless, i see women in my family who do enjoy clothes but definitely do not engage with fashion spaces online still wearing them in thoughtfully curated outfits. Even i personally still prefer skinny jeans over wide fit jeans because they just flatter me better because the latter makes me look really short.
I think the caveat is that skinny jeans will come back in a way that is still more fashion forward than what you see "normal" people wearing today. Those outfits will still look dated even if they are technically wearing skinny jeans. And people who have settled into wider fits today will also start to look dated as well.
I feel a point you’re missing abt the sports aesthetics is that the World Cup ended out 2022 so ppl got into soccer kits for ‘23 and the Olympics is coming in 2024. Most of fashion is inspired by the things going on around us. Major events like the Olympics and the X Games will play a factor esp internationally. I can see biker jerseys making a breakthrough for that reason
I REALLY love your videos. But I rlly wish you did a bit more critical analysis on the things you talk about. They encompass so many nuances and intricacies that I feel you don’t touch on. And everything you talk about is so relevant and interesting, I just wish you’d get more into the nitty gritty than surface level analysis. I watch every video tho. Love this channel :D
I just recently started watching your videos, and i only started my fashion journey during the pandemic but i really appreciate your content, and how thoughtful and considerate you are of other opinions and experiences. Happy new year!
On the skinny jeans discussion: if a product is still being purchased by a consumer, then the product still has a base to sell to. So if people, fashion conscious or otherwise, are still buying skinny jeans (no matter if it's trending or not), then skinny jeans never died. Acknowledgment of that does not detract from the fact that baggier jeans has taken off as a trend. But trends ebb and flow. Skinnier jeans have been consistent since jeans were created. They just are not trendy, and that's okay. I think this wave of quick consumer content has really skewed style into a "this style means these clothes" kind of approach rather than the personal portion of what makes style unique. I hope that this hyperconsumerism gets people to think "whoa, this shit is too much" and focus on what they enjoy rather than the next new hot shit.
Stretch skinny jeans are very flattering on women and Midwest women will absolutely NEVER give them up. No to crazy huge baggy jeans unless its balanced tastefully. .
God tier take on demin. There's sumn about a good pair of quality denim jeans and a wool top that makes me feel so gooddd. Those two textures are like honey n butter.
I agree. Skinny jeans never left. But I dont think they will take over again, maybe as a mikro trend (which I still think will be a thing in 2024). Love your videos!
Raw Denim could definitely return to mainstream. Last time around even with just the 501 STF craze it was fun to watch everyone document their wear in. That aspect paired with social media today seems like it could definitely come back around
I’d say that football shirts have been popular for a long time just not in America. Over here in Europe, particularly in France, I’ve seen them a lot and when I travelled through Morocco they were very popular too. I live in England and people have always worn football tops and they’ll continue to do so - it’s our culture
skinny jeans never died, they just were no longer on trend, and ppl wanted to started moving away from them during the dad shoe trend. they're still very stylish and fashionable. they obviously aren't still at 2015 fear of god level. I think bootcuts/flares are a good indication that some ppl are moving back to slimmer pants. That being said, i think for many fashion ppl, skinny jeans are reserved for boots and slim silhouettes.
Here's my hot-ish take for 2024: Earlier this year I was seeing a lot of the skirts over pants trend and had this kind of random thought. What is one were to style shorts over pants and I don't mean the leggings and sporty shorts -kind but dare I say in a more fashionable way. I kind of just pushed the thought away though as I couldn't really find anyone doing it. But just recenty (I think in the last month) I've actually come across this. Okay it has literally been like two people but I'm excited to see if more people will do it. Definitely expecting it in a rather baggy sihouette but we'll see...
It reminds me of how i really wanted to buy a pair of convertible pants (you unzip the legs ro get shorts) and that's kind of a less experimental to get that silhouette
You have become one of my fav fashion videos. I am a 76 year old woman who loves fashion. F I have never been so conscious of how my pants fit since I've watched your videos. Lol Thank you for the male perspective. Btw.. where I live in the Bronx the ladies 😅😊ies are still wearing skinny jeans😊. I think style does depend on where you live also.
The last take was interesting. You spoke about 2 groups, people dressing intentionally and being more fashion forward and then people dressing for functionality. But I think there are plenty of people who dress intentionally and care about fashion without being "fashion forward" (trend driven) and so they're not so heavily dictated by what's in and what's out. Skinny jeans aren't as popular as they used to be but they still make up a high percentage of what retailers have available for sale so they can't be that unpopular. Skinny jeans aren't trendy but people are still wearing them.
I literally finished this video at 10 pm on nye bro so you go and have a happy new year 😂 Concerning the skinny jeans and dressing with intention part of the vid: I'm totally with you. Tho I believe that nothing ever dies, it just vanishes in the so fast paced world of fashion. Doesn't matter if we're talking skinny jeans, bow ties or heck even sneakers. It might fall out of trend and not be worn by the ones who consider themselves fashionable, but some people are always gonna be here and rock those pieces. Simply because of necessity. But also because of individuality, that is becoming such a big thing now. And I am damn grateful for it. Have a great start to the new year man, your videos made me smile and think trough a lot of stuff that happened 🙏
2024: - Military core will be on the rise. - Maximalism & Doom Spending on clothing/accessories. - Photo dumps may die down. IG users will take time to make their feeds look aesthetically pleasing through fashion. ++ I’m also quite curious about the FOMO that may arise amongst Gen Z & Gen Alpha due to overconsumption of content - Especially now that fashion is mainstream and inclusive.
I bought baggy jeans and never wore them. They make me look huge. My best asset is the ratio between my hips/thighs and chest. I will wear flares or bells but the butt and thigh has to be fitted. Bring back skinny’s I’m down💯
i hope that more people turn to a dutch sensibility in their 2024 style - it feels like they’re already years ahead. the scene over there is full of layering, oversized topcoats, skirts and vests that just look incredible and, at the same time, understated.
I think that skinny jeans are IT for a lot of communities that are actually quite fashion-forward. As you've said, context matters. Skinny jeans are not for me personally, but a friend of mine is a huge alt music fan, goes to shows, etc etc. Skinny jeans are a statement to them as a part of belonging to that community and messing with gender at the same time, so there is undoubtedly intentionality there. What I think would be more fitting is that tiktok doesn't always show how people who care about their individual fashion but not fashion as a larger conversation dress.
I disagree with the skinny jean prediction. The people saying this are treating the baggy bottoms trend like it came out of nowhere, but there was a lead up. Relaxed top silhouettes came into the picture, oversized tees, hoodies, jackets, etc. When this happened people were still very much wearing joggers & skinny jeans. What drove the baggy bottoms wave & started to make it “saturated” outside of the fashion community was comfort, the same thing that drove relaxed top silhouettes. Going back to wearing a fitted silhouette after being comfy a n d fashionable for years now? I don’t see it happening.
I'm not an avid viewer of yours, Drew, but I just love watching you from time to time to 'relax', if you will. Watching you talk just reminds me of Bob Ross so much, in the sense that I think, "Yeah, it's impossible for this guy to shout". Also, I take your content to heart, such as the 'How to Grow Up Your Style' video. Also, your fits are just cool to look at. Got me over here taking notes and helping me find my own style. As a 14 year-old boy, you and Frugal Aesthetic are the two people I find the most enjoyable to watch : You give deep, genuine and fair dives on topics in the fashion world, a lot of topics being trends that I'm unfamiliar with due to my lack of tuning in with social media, and Frugal is just funny. Sorry for making this drag out, but long story short, thank you. :)
Raw denim, specifically selvedge denim is one of my favs but they are very stiff and hard to break in. Apparently washing them often isn’t recommended by denim experts which is why they don’t break in as easily. Great video as per usual Drew 🔥
lmao i love fun hats, like from a kid who loved clubpenguin, and to dress myself in online games. I NEED a fish hat. I will wear that unironically, as well as a crochet brain hat
Cycling wear is definitely dominating, with longer, almost capri length bike shorts becoming huge. The real hot take may be the clash of upscale cycling and vintage motorcycle fashion coming together to create very unique silhouettes and functionality with lots of room for individual expression.
I think the cycling jerseys will be quite unpopular since not a lot of fashion-interested people (from my knowledge) really appreciate or go cycling. Although I could definitely see them in the summer with some skinnier pants.🤔 Also love your content, it helps me a lot to find my personal style and be more open towards clothes. 444
I agree it would be super cool to see them as the designs on some are really unique and even as someone who is not into cycling I can appreciate the community and meaning behind it
The "small shirt big pants" aesthetic was quite trendy thiw year and i do see it coming back, and cycling jerseys could fit insidevthat aesthetic But if ppl dont see the potential of the jerseys they wont become trendy
Doesn't make sense to me. People who aren't interested in Basketball wear basketball sneakers, people who aren't into outdoors activity wear gorpcore and so on
It feels contradictory to talk about putting an emphasis on personal style, and then talk about being ignorant to fashion if you're still wearing skinny jeans. I think there are a lot of subcultures that never let go of skinny jeans, but I'm punk and will probably wear skinny jeans forever. I kind of don't care if that dates me as a millennial, but part of my self expression through fashion is the music I listen to
I think having a definition of fashion which two solid halves like that makes it more glaringly obvious that the gap bridging many of those who want to be more fashionable but can’t is time, resources, and access.
I love the take on silhouettes, I’ve never liked baggy pants. I like slim chinos and slim silhouette. I wear baggy pants more cause I skate but the change in shape isn’t my fav
I used to wear a ton of skinny jeans but I actually fucked with the wide jean trend because I have big ass quads and thighs and I always looked like I was choking my lower half when I rocked skinnies as a guy. It was nice to actually buy pants that fit well on me in general this year lol.
Being the 938th comment about skinny jeans rsrs - As a Brazilian from South region (completly away from fashion trend cities) I tend to observe that the skinny jeans never died among millenials and older generations because we've being programmed our whole life that this and the slim cut are the right Path. Fortunatly the GenZ is ripping this thought apart as confort is now something non-negotiable on fashion, but we still have this "older" portion of the market share that denies wider garments.
I found u on TH-cam this year and I'm so glad that I always come back to watch your videos man. Thank u Drew for making my 2023 informative and motivational. A bientot
You live in New York now so if you spend a weekend night out in the lower east side (Kind Regards, Pianos, etc), you'll see the "swag era" re-done in a very nostalgic, fashionable and trendy way. Not for everyone, but it kinda can mix with some of the opium core looks. 2000's goth meets 2000's oversized t-shirts, jorts, etc.
Thanks for another cool video. And I look forward to your content in the new year!! I can imagine cycling jerseys kind of unzipped as a summer jacket maybe but the shorts have been done to the point of overkill the past few years. I feel like if it was really gonna take off it had a perfect opportunity when everyone and their mother (literally) was wearing bike shorts.
I’m 16 and stopped wearing graphic tees in my outfits unless im at home, but I do miss wearing them out sometimes cause alot of my outfits now feel basic
the two diff ppl that wear skinny jeans nowadays are the niche super fashionista ppl who are tbh usually skinny already so the silhouette really fits them and the other people are the blokes who just havent bought a new pair of pants or cared to change their style in the past 5 years 😂
I am really looking into buying a dumbphone to reduce my screentime. I know I sound really old but it could become a trend to own a second phone not only for the flex but, how I said, to reduce our screentime and to bring back keyboard phones in general.
The way you think about fashion really is the way everyone should. There are people that dress because they have to to fit in society, and other that dress because they want to express themselves. Therefore, you should not necessarily wear what is trendy : I believe trends are here to help people discover more and more different styles, so they can find what matches with their personality. If everybody understand this, everyone would less hate on each other and the world would be a slightly better place to live in.
Skinny jeans happened when jeans were able to add stretch to them but skill look and feel like quality jeans, and simultaneously people wanted a fitted silhouette. They consequently never went completely out of fashion For many people because of their practicality- especially among those who dress for function: who say walk a lot or bike a lot. Baggy pants get soaking wet when walking in weather and catch on your bike chain and get torn (and snugging them down is not cool-looking). And the most lasting fashion trends always have a core element of practicality to them. A great comfortable sneaker. A down puffer. A shirtdress. A pea coat.
I recently discovered your channel and I find it very insightful! Not sure if I overlooked this topic in your previous videos, but I was hoping to request a video about athletic wear. I'm an athlete/dancer -who doesn't care for leggings lol- and I'd love to be/feel more stylish in the studio. Thank you & happy new year!!
on the topic of raw denim and how you have to build the character of the denim, people would rather buy the product that already has character. That idea or proclivity is a microcosm of a larger norm where people are buying into a style instead of forming their own personal styles, emulating people that have lived lives and show that through clothing. Instead of forming themselves, many people opt to buy the likeness of someone or something else
I think that the pandemic divided people further when it comes to fashion - the people that are intentional vs the people who dress for function. Some people followed the ever-evolving trends while others held onto what they felt comfortable in which was pre-pandemic. I’m in my mid-twenties and I still have some friends that wanted to hold onto their old skinny jeans for dear life, while others like myself, got rid of them during the pandemic
@@SurmeetGill I agree but I don't think that once skinny jeans return (which they will, 2024 or later probably) they will look/be styled in the same way as in the 2010's. My main problem with the skinny jeans from this era is how badly they always fit, tight around the legs and sagging around the ass. There are some slimmer fits I'm all for however, think vintage Levis 505s, 606s or 517s from the 1960s and 70s.
i think raw denim was already pretty mainstream, like evisu and japanese brand denim, that was really popular in 2022-23, but evisu seems like it is slowly fading out
I think collared shirts. The stepping away from T-shirts to more formal shirts worn everywhere. With the collars having interesting details. So exaggerated collars or cut out pieces
I mean football gear has been embedded in the fashion world for ages with the old football shoes like Gazelles and German army trainers etc which have heritage in football and football culture. The jerseys are just a more literal piece of football gear/culture that has emerged.
@@anitapricecheck9554 bingo. I totally agree. The fact that it's something that's just about exclusively an import to most places doesn't help either. Plus, I'm on the bigger side and I've never even seen a pair sold in any webstore that was in my size. I'd love to have at least a pair of raw denim jeans. There are just too many barriers to entry for me.
In Berlin (Germany, Europe) and other more alternative german cities cycling shorts had a HUGE hype this summer!! Surprised to hear it hasn't made its way to the rest of the world yet :D
@@karamuensterKardashians for sure but here we've got them with leo prints (prolly the most popular one in 2023), checkered, neon colors... Beige not so much. Already afraid of this one 🙈
Dont forget about the pay wall for raw denim. Even in Japan most brands are expensive. As soon as you leave japan good raw denim just gets way to expsive. Even in taiwan i would have to pay double the price from what i paid in japan for a momotaro or suggar cane jeans.
Stacked skinny jeans going back in trend? Not sure if I’d like it, though looking back to 2015-2017, those were fun times for fashion. I just don’t think I’m ready to go back to it…not just yet hahahaha!
I am very curious to see what peoples personal style developments turn into in the coming year. I feel like so much of the stuff I see feels too similar. Could be the algorithm, though. It seems like personal style and developing personal style is something that most people struggle with if they don’t have a very clear identity of who they are that’s not to say that people can’t change or develop or evolve because I think that we do it all the time, for the last few years, it feels that a lot of men’s fashion has become stale or at least what is popular.
I think an aspect of the popularity of football jerseys is that they are everywhere in thrift shops (at least where i live). I am not sure if that is the case with cycling jerseys.
I don't know what track jacket you are wearing but it looks amazing! I would love cycling wear being hot in 2024 but I wouldn't like to go back to kanye (or travis) to be big again, I don't think they are any kind of role models or fashion icons.
I just saw part 1, and was like should I write cycling clothes as a prediction for part 2, and realized that part 1 was uploaded 2 weeks ago and I was like nah, then I started watching part 2....
#pvv 🤜🏾🤜🏾 merry christmas and happy new year! its actually crazy tho cause its my bday on the 31st of december hahaha so literally new year new me ;P but love your vids, makes me feel like im apart of a community with people who share similar tastes.
I usually agree with your takes but cuz you know that the media stuff has been going on for pretty much ten years now and people are starting to get sick of it. what that person said is what I can for sure see happening
What's up drew, how you do? Couple of thoughts. 1) You bring an interesting point regarding geography. What is trending in NYC isn't what is trending in the midwest, so when commenters from the midwest are making observations, they will have a vastly different perspective from you. It appears to me that a trend happens in a location-agnostic place first (aka the internet, as it is not constrained by physical space and is easier to spread), and then in major cities like NYC and Tokyo. 2) Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I have to guess, it feels like you joined the fashion crowd around late 2019? Circa 2016-2018, raw denim caught on fire and everybody around Spring Street station was wearing some form of selvedge denim. Although raw denim appears niche, is less comfortable, and is more expensive, it is very possible for it to reach mainstream popularity again. America's obsession with individualism and raw denim's ability to create a unique individual stamp on a piece of clothing will make raw denim come back to the mainstream again and again. Prior to 2017-2018, older enthusiasts have informed me that they had a similar popularity decades ago which blew my mind, because at the time, I felt that raw denim was so niche! 3) Hope you're enjoying your stay in the city and I hope we get to keep you ;)
Cycling jerseys are kind of tricky to style because they are elongated to accommodate cyclists. Unless someone alters them for style over substance it could work. That being said I’ve had some vintage cycling jerseys in my ebay cart for a while now lol.

2024:
- Military core will be on the rise.
Great video as per usual Drew 🔥
cycling jerseys have been a thing in fashion especially the colorful ones from the 90s
I want to come back to this video at the end of 2024 to see how things have gone. Happy New Year Drew "What it Do"!!
lmao i love fun hats, like from a kid who loved clubpenguin, and to dress myself in online games. I NEED a fish hat. I will wear that unironically, as well as a crochet brain hat
Love you Drew! Keep keeping fashion real!
❤
Cycling wear is definitely dominating, with longer, almost capri length bike shorts becoming huge. The real hot take may be the clash of upscale cycling and vintage motorcycle fashion coming together to create very unique silhouettes and functionality with lots of room for individual expression.
I agree with the capri length prediction. I already see this knee-length style in those 2010s lace-hem leggings for a girly kind of version
I agree it would be super cool to see them as the designs on some are really unique and even as someone who is not into cycling I can appreciate the community and meaning behind it
The "small shirt big pants" aesthetic was quite trendy thiw year and i do see it coming back, and cycling jerseys could fit insidevthat aesthetic
But if ppl dont see the potential of the jerseys they wont become trendy
Doesn't make sense to me. People who aren't interested in Basketball wear basketball sneakers, people who aren't into outdoors activity wear gorpcore and so on
❤
@@minatonamikaze34 dude I feel you, I got huge thighs so jeans in general felt kinda wack for a while. Slim fit chinos kinda the wave
Fully agree that intentionality is the core of fashion, personal style wouldn't really exist without it, everybody would be wearing the same uniform
I have a hot take: Beret hats will rise..uncommon looking hats I just bought one seeing my favorite celeb wore it it looks good
Being the 938th comment about skinny jeans rsrs - As a Brazilian from South region (completly away from fashion trend cities) I tend to observe that the skinny jeans never died among millenials and older generations because we've being programmed our whole life that this and the slim cut are the right Path. Fortunatly the GenZ is ripping this thought apart as confort is now something non-negotiable on fashion, but we still have this "older" portion of the market share that denies wider garments.
Would love for you to do a reflection video at the end of 2024 looking at which takes were actually good or bad and what was unexpected
Outside of the social media world. Skinny jeans are very much alive.
SWAG WAS FIIIIREEEE BRING IT BACK ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
Lookin forward for your new videos in 2024 and many more fist bumps, love your stuff and hope you have a great new years! much love
I found u on TH-cam this year and I'm so glad that I always come back to watch your videos man. Thank u Drew for making my 2023 informative and motivational. A bientot
THE COMBACK OF BANDANNAS!!!
They’re already back n Colorado
Love your pov and positivity. Happy new year 🎉
Sharing Peace, Love and More in 2024
I’m 16 and stopped wearing graphic tees in my outfits unless im at home, but I do miss wearing them out sometimes cause alot of my outfits now feel basic
the two diff ppl that wear skinny jeans nowadays are the niche super fashionista ppl who are tbh usually skinny already so the silhouette really fits them and the other people are the blokes who just havent bought a new pair of pants or cared to change their style in the past 5 years 😂
I am really looking into buying a dumbphone to reduce my screentime. I know I sound really old but it could become a trend to own a second phone not only for the flex but, how I said, to reduce our screentime and to bring back keyboard phones in general.
that’s a really good idea
Heater to end the year drewski
The way you think about fashion really is the way everyone should. There are people that dress because they have to to fit in society, and other that dress because they want to express themselves. Therefore, you should not necessarily wear what is trendy : I believe trends are here to help people discover more and more different styles, so they can find what matches with their personality. If everybody understand this, everyone would less hate on each other and the world would be a slightly better place to live in.
Hot take: Motocross Gear inspired clothing will be a popular trend
The surprise 444 hit me hard, thank you for that
Skinny jeans happened when jeans were able to add stretch to them but skill look and feel like quality jeans, and simultaneously people wanted a fitted silhouette. A pea coat.
And an outro could be “thanks for watching, hope to see you more in 2024” or sumn like that!
The way gas prices are fluctuating along with the financial strife...i agree the cycling gear could surprise us strictly based on necessity
I really love your onion on take 7, I also hope skinny jeans never return
Drew do you think flat caps could become a thing in 2024 or any year after??
ringleader fits with baggy jeans could be a experimental comeback.
on the topic of raw denim and how you have to build the character of the denim, people would rather buy the product that already has character. That idea or proclivity is a microcosm of a larger norm where people are buying into a style instead of forming their own personal styles, emulating people that have lived lives and show that through clothing. Instead of forming themselves, many people opt to buy the likeness of someone or something else
Sleevless t shirts, Aviator sunglasses, fingerless cycling gloves, and stylized wrist sweatbands. All of these are coming back.
Ooo I'm for all of those. Kinda 80s but in a cool way.
I predict Japanese Sukajan satin embroidered baseball style jackets will come back soon. An offshoot of the big bomber jacket trend. I’m obsessed.
Cycling gear was the trend in the late 80s just peep spike lees movies
I think that the pandemic divided people further when it comes to fashion - the people that are intentional vs the people who dress for function. Some people followed the ever-evolving trends while others held onto what they felt comfortable in which was pre-pandemic. I’m in my mid-twenties and I still have some friends that wanted to hold onto their old skinny jeans for dear life, while others like myself, got rid of them during the pandemic
Also I really don’t want skinny jeans to come back because I feel like they only just went out of style 4 years ago
Happy New Year. Enjoy watching your channel explode!
i think raw denim was already pretty mainstream, like evisu and japanese brand denim, that was really popular in 2022-23, but evisu seems like it is slowly fading out
I think collared shirts. The stepping away from T-shirts to more formal shirts worn everywhere. With the collars having interesting details. So exaggerated collars or cut out pieces
the bare knuckles jacket looks so clean wish i could get my hands on one of those
Happy new year Drew!
Idk about skinny jeans coming back but I think motorcycle gear will be making a big wave in 2024.
in my country in europe everyone wears skinny jeans lol so it’s still a trend here
What country is that
I mean football gear has been embedded in the fashion world for ages with the old football shoes like Gazelles and German army trainers etc which have heritage in football and football culture. The jerseys are just a more literal piece of football gear/culture that has emerged.
Good points!! I totally overlooked these items
Okay, so raw denim as in the uncut material doesn't seem to be ubiquitous enough for it to be a big thing.
I think it’s bc it’s still too expensive for the average consumer, even a fashion-y one
Peace Drew and happy new year
Skinny jeans is only dead to followers & people on TikTok
Me a person that’s actually out in the world I see skinny jeans everywhere I go
you are awesome!!
Part 3 please !!
Football shirt have always been a fashion statement. It's just a new phenomenon in murica.
In Berlin (Germany, Europe) and other more alternative german cities cycling shorts had a HUGE hype this summer!! Surprised to hear it hasn't made its way to the rest of the world yet :D
😂 bcs it's giving the beige moms thing (kardashians)
@@karamuensterKardashians for sure but here we've got them with leo prints (prolly the most popular one in 2023), checkered, neon colors... Beige not so much. Already afraid of this one 🙈
@@milena209 😂🤙🏻🤙🏻 yeaaah same, I feel like i'm lost in the background with nude colors. ✌🏻Ty Milena🥤🦭
You have to be a certain body type to look good in a cycling jersey fr. 😂
Sustainability and simplicity for 2024
I don't know what track jacket you are wearing but it looks amazing! I would love cycling wear being hot in 2024 but I wouldn't like to go back to kanye (or travis) to be big again, I don't think they are any kind of role models or fashion icons.
His jacket is from bare knuckles
I just saw part 1, and was like should I write cycling clothes as a prediction for part 2, and realized that part 1 was uploaded 2 weeks ago and I was like nah, then I started watching part 2....
#pvv 🤜🏾🤜🏾 merry christmas and happy new year! its actually crazy tho cause its my bday on the 31st of december hahaha so literally new year new me ;P
but love your vids, makes me feel like im apart of a community with people who share similar tastes.
Thanks for the amazing videos as always Drew! Btw, what jacket are you wearing in this? Looks great
I’m an 20 year old European. In Europe bloke core has been a thing in wider society since before I was born and will continue to be for years to come.
3) Hope you're enjoying your stay in the city and I hope we get to keep you ;)
the presence of hedi at celine is a proof that skinny jeans never died
Cycling jerseys are kind of tricky to style because they are elongated to accommodate cyclists. Unless someone alters them for style over substance it could work. That being said I’ve had some vintage cycling jerseys in my ebay cart for a while now lol.
i actually thought you weren't gonna give me two fistbumps but thankfully i stand corrected
Nope we bringing up cat daddies and dougies back my guy. 😂😂😂
What about someone who wears an outfit just for function but unintentionally has a hard fit in the eyes of someone whos into "fashion"?
carhartt construction guys 🔥
