The thought, "Release the Beast" came to mind when I saw the title of a new video. Then the reality that the beast is out of shape, like most of us after this extended time off. Thank you for sharing a rebirth of the channel and please fix that foot! We can't risk another year of bad beer reviews from a chair, or it that reviews of bad beers. Take care!
Hi Eddie, great to see you out and about again, beautiful scenery around this area , I know it quite well , it looked hard going for you with the toe playing up.. best to get it seen to , we need you fit to take us on "oor wee dawnders" thanks Eddie 😀
I just love your videos! Thank you for making them. Believe I have watched most of them, some several times. I think I could find the hidden way marker behind the overgrown bush on the Rob Roy Way! Would love to visit Scotland again. Walked the West Highland Way in 2019 and just loved every bit. I sure hope your foot is better soon. For what its worth..custom orthotics in my boots helped me with my foot and heel pain.
Many thanks. I love making the videos. I think my boots may be a tad too small, which may be the issue. I've had boots that felt tight before, but the leather was soft and they felt great. My current boots just aren't the same. Should have gone for the next size up.
Oh my god !!! Eddy sitting in the scottish Alps eating a quiche and going for a ramble, Brilliant Eddy just Brilliant. Not good about that foot though... how about a fold up mountain bike till the foot gets better ? Take it on any bus pal. Waiting for you to pull a pastie out that bag one day, hahaha. Still you got oot and after a year of Kilmarnock pie soup and kegs of beer it was great to see you doing what you love buddy. Take care Eddy and glad your well and oot and aboot again.🥃👍🏴
Thanks Billy. The pastie may well be the next edible progression from quiche. I was surprised to get on the bus to Inveruglas. Normally advisable to book, but I couldn't find it in the drop down menu so gave up. All the talk on the buses was the slight increase in the number of travellers. The bus driver was struggling to get to grips with the ticket machine after such a long period of inactivity. But we got there. Take care.
Hi Eddy, I really enjoyed this walk. I’m sorry your foot was hurt. I hope it’s a lot better by now. I hope you’re having a lovely Fall. We’re celebrating our Thanksgiving Day tomorrow. I’m giving thanks for surviving Covid pneumonia and 4 months in hospital getting well. Best Wishes, Lynn in Naples, FL. 😊
Hi Eddy, great to see you out, and to have the beautiful countryside almost to yourself. Really good of you to spoil us with a bonus video for this week! I sure hope your foot problem heals up, you may have to give it some rest for a while. Take care and all the best pal, regards Rob.
Really enjoyed the video as I do them all..being sat here just south of the border in the lake district I have to say I'm itching to head back north of the border to walk in such wonderful places as you've shown here Ed.. hopefully I'll not have much longer to wait 🏴..stay safe fella.
Many thanks. I've always loved the Lake District. Sometimes you get so used to an area that it becomes like wallpaper that you see every day, and you somehow miss the special things that it contains. Take care.
Keep the videos coming Ed. Any chance of the Cathkin Braes? Excellent views from south of the Clyde valley edge. Nearby Village of Carmunock worth a walk through too.
Hi Eddy, Great video, it's so nice to see you out walking (and sitting) through the wonderful scenery (and before the midgie season, wonderful). Your sense of humour makes me smile, love it. Shame about your toe giving you problems, hopefully it'll be sorted soon. Someone suggested a fold up bike might help, great idea. An electric bike would be even better with those hills. Question, what was the small peak behind you on the last shot? Ian and Angie.
Many thanks. You just can't beat a good sit. I mixed up mountains in this video, which all goes to show how important maps and compasses are. The last photo in the video is of Ben Arthur, or The Cobbler. Edit: the peak behind me in the final moving image was Ben Lomond.
Hi Rob. I can't remember what tune that was, but generally I'll just create a small bit of music for use in a video. They aren't generally songs or full pieces of music, but certainly judging by some of the comments folk quite like them.

great to see you back on the trails, ed. hope your foot heals quickly!
It was tremendous. Got to be one of Scotland's best walking trails. All the best.
Do you have a longer version of the opening tune Ed?
Hi Rob. I can't remember what tune that was, but generally I'll just create a small bit of music for use in a video. They aren't generally songs or full pieces of music, but certainly judging by some of the comments folk quite like them.
I hope your foot heals soon
