I live pretty close to these guys and being able to see lightning stripes in real service on NYC rails in 2024 is something ill be forever thankful for.
You and your drone give us a great perspective of how FGLK operates and serves local customers. The NS handoff explains how their connection to the outside world. Thanks
I second your first comment, Matty. It's a nice video! Also, beautiful scenery and great photography as usual! This was the best 15:39 I have spent all day... 😊
Finger Lakes is my favorite; and if you sign a release and stick to the rules they let you photograph around the property. They were very receptive and let me photo their mechanics working on a locomotive just outside the shop. Caught NS once at Himrod Jct. but never in Geneva. Great video Matty, FGLK anytime.
Thanks a lot! I love the Finger Lakes Railway and how friendly to railfans they are! I too have heard that you can film and photograph from a certain spot on their property, but I bounce around so much I usually skip over that.
Man that was nice! I seen that little squirrel run across the tracks 😄. Great videos and your sound is awesome. Can I get permission to use some of your audio on my model railroad videos? Like the flange squeal, the radio squawk, the click-clack of the track. I would gladly credit you in the description. Thanks - Bill

They also interchange with CSX near Syracuse 👍
Can't get enough of this kind of stuff. Thankyou for filming and posting.

Nice video! Finger lakes is a railroad we haven't seen much of!
Thanks! I love this railroad, I just wish it was closer!
