    Goldfish keeping = Balance & Patience!! In the past in old goldfish forums we used to have long talks on wen growth. We never had a solid answer but you did a great job explaining how it's done. I'm a huge fan of raising goldfish in green water, there are lots of benefits to using it. I read an article from a goldfish master once that explained how to keep goldfish in clear water. He used the air bubbles on the surface to tell him when to change the water. If the bubbles lasted longer than a few seconds the you have poor oxygen exchange and needed a water change. Keep posting, I love this stuff!!! I can talk for an hour about green water. LOL

    This is very interesting. Thank you for sharing this wonderful and helpful information. It makes sense that temperature affects wen and body growth. I was wondering what I was doing wrong. When Bought my ranchu, they had very defined wen growth. A month or so later, it is now summer and their tank reached 80 to 82 degrees Fahrenheit. They have gotten wider and rounder body shape. But their wens seem to have disappeared?! Hopefully their wen will come back once the weather cools now. How low can the temperature dip? Thank you. I am so happy I found your channel😊

    Do you have any thoughts on aquaponics and goldfish? I'm a little afraid to do green water if I'm trying to grow some herbs like 酒菜 with the goldfish waste.
    I'm trying my best to combine the beauty of goldfish with sustainability. And I need more aromatics for cooking than I can buy. 😂

    • @GoldfishCorner
      @GoldfishCorner  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The answer is yes. I think it will be a new trend in the goldfish community. To reduce carbon footprint in goldfish keeping. That is why lots of advocated hobbyists pay more attention to traditional goldfish keeping to reduce the use of electricity ⚡️

    hello goldfish master, i was thinking why my black baby ranchu as they grow older their tails become more vertical? when i picked them i chose them to have 180° tails but now a month have pass their tails become more vertical when swimming

    • @GoldfishCorner
      @GoldfishCorner  16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@PolishRawr that is the way supposed to be. When Ranchu is young, their body has natural slim shape, so tail was straight. With the head growth, the gravity center moves towards head, so their tail tilt up to balance

    • @PolishRawr
      @PolishRawr 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @GoldfishCorner i mean when i started choosing them, their tails are symmetrical and flare up to 180 degree but now they looking like it folding to the center

    I am sorry to ask this stupid question but what is the minimum tank or pond size for fancy goldfish ? Plz

    • @GoldfishCorner
      @GoldfishCorner  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For fancy goldfish, the bigger the better. Bigger tank, stronger filter, larger surface area great! However, keep water current still. The rule of thumb for fancy goldfish is 20 gal for first fish, then 10 gal for additional fish. So 40 gal is good for 3 adult fancy goldfish.
