Do you know where in this 100% walkthrough the shelter stone is grabbed? After the bow guy fight on the roof and talking to the kid, cowboy already had the shelter stone and got the option to ask about it but despite watching till that point I've seemed to miss it
I know I’m way late but Elden ring was my first souls game. Then I played bloodborne which is where I found your walk thru. Thanks for that. And now I’m playing sekiro. What I like most about your play thrus is they’re not edited. You play in real time and commentate as you go. Showing when you die and not just speeding thru and editing those failures out. It’s a real play thru. I appreciate what you do. I like to play an area myself then go back and watch your play thru and go back and get everything I missed😂
Just want you to know how much your guides are helping me through this game. I'm following them to a tee and this game is not as intimidating as it used to be. Kudos!
1:19 Had me dying of laughter. I can tell it totally caught you off guard that laugh you let out was hilarious. Edit: Well I can't believe it's been 4 years since I made this comment. This was the only playthrough I really followed you play by play. Once the combat clicked I probably played this 4 times over again. Then once Elden Ring came out I decided to keep that a shot on my own and succeeded. Watch your playthrough of it after I finished to see what I most likely missed. Props on elden ring, it's a hell of a game to cover.
@@twiggy2495 side dodge attack spam. I died around 50 times until I finally figured out that strategy. but you gotta be quick about the attack and watch out for her 2nd phase combos
I highly recommend that if anyone is having as much trouble with elite spear enemies or Generals as I did! Farm and practice the enemy on the bridge right next to the spear guy at 14:45! The enemy on the bridge has the exact move sets as the Generals! I spent an hour or two with the trainer, but nothing got me better than killing these two enemies over and over.......and then over again!
I did the same with the spear guy and if i thought i was going to loose i would run back to the idol and reset 😁 Still having trouble with the guy on the bridge who has the same moves as the General's I've actually beaten main bosses easier than them General's 😭 also you can can lure the blue guy's away for a stealth kill !! I had awful trouble with them but the stealth got me passed them, I'm still very shaky with the combat 😓
My god, I'm glad you made these. I was playing Stellar Blade and it actually made me yearn for Sekiro, which I (shamefully) never finished. So I turn it on for the first time in 5 years, and it's like waking up from a coma with amnesia, in the middle of Ashina Castle. Was lost but now I am found, thanks brother.
Yo cowboy just want to thank you for dedicating time to helping people with from soft games. I just watch your videos just to pass the time and they are funny as hell and informative. Thanks brosef. You’re appreciated.
The wife and I both watch your walkthrough videos as I play along. The “OMG I’m on Fire” @1:20 into the video had us dying with laughter! Thanks for doing what you do, you’re truly a staple in the gaming community!
This guide is a blessing! I always play on my own until I am stuck, then I look at what Cowboy does to actually get further in the game. Personally I do not like running around looking for paths that I overlooked and this just kills all that boring downtime for me. If I get stuck on a boss I just go with the "git gud" mentality, but for some random door I overlooked this is brilliant.
The Lone Shadow at 22:10 isn't particularly hard, but it's a 2v1 with him and the camera both working against you. The camera is constantly getting stuck in the wall or staring at the ceiling while he stabs you in the back a couple times as you frantically try and figure out where he is.
2 years later when I’m seeing this comment and it has me dying. I entered the fight and completely understood everything about this comment 10 seconds in. The camera does give him a great tag team advantage and I can’t even see him half the time 😂
FOREAL. And what about in the second one where you lose 10% health every death till you only have half. And you have to burn effigy's to restore it and there are only like 5 in the whole game or something like that. Total bullshit.
You have helped me so much! I tried it once before, but gave up, but it’s so cool now with some help! Thanks for saying things like ” don’t do this boss now.... we’ll come back later” Thanks for a really good walkthrough!

I would have never found the prayer bead in the secret room that you access by hugging the wall in a million fuckin years. This walkthrough is awesome.
Killed the Lone Shadow using the oil and fire cannon to prevent posture recovery. That is a really good strategy for most mini-bosses, provided you can time the fire cannon correctly.
I don't know if you will ever read this, but when bloodborne was a ps plus title it sucked me in, so when sekiro was announced, i preordered it asap. Then, when it finally launched, by pure chance, i found your let's play. Since then i've played a bit, then watched you play it. Later i also followed your 100% walktrough. Those dudes in the blue also can drop the confetti you need to fight the headless. They are the only farming source that I know of, and even then they are stingy drops. But they can be farmed.
@@dannyhunter607 If you put those specific enemies with the same moves in dark souls or bloodborne, the enemies themselves aren't anything special, it's the relationship the gameplay has with those enemies that makes them challenging.
Ah the Ashina castle excursions. I went up to the dojo and then to Genichiro pretty much right away without exploring much of the castle elsewhere. Genichiro was definitely a skill check boss, and going around and finding prayer beads and leveling up the skill tree made a big difference in facing him. Loved how the game opens up once you get to Ashina Castle.

I would recommend going across the gap from the great serpent shrine idol and working your way through to the next idol even without the key its really simple and you get an extra gourd seed and you have an idol a little farther in the sunken valley for later
You earned a sub from me man. I always start a souls game without a guide but inevitably end up following one because I miss out on so much good shit. Thanks for the great guide.

This walkthrough is pure gold. I'm in a loop on making (really slow) progress on my own and then coming here to see if i missed anything/ for advise about bosses and mini bosses. I fought Seven Ashina Spears before taking down the previus general oops. He did indeed kick my ass many times before i beat him. Listen to him, guys, unless you really like giving your npcs dragonrot lol
Hey Cowboy I remember in a previous video you mentioned looking for a good place to farm Divine Confetti, It seems to be a drop from the blue robe samurai bros in the castle antechamber area. Also they drop 31 gold and 79 exp a pop so not a bad early farming area in general.
I love that whenever I am low on money, I'll just feel like you know when I'll just come back, and I've got like 25 heavy coin purses.. it's it's it's not, cuz that's my money! That's not the free money that you get from dead people!
To get to the roof on 5:00, there's a much easier way to do so just by jumping to the wall on the side of the door and getting to that roof, from there you can just jump to the other roofs.
Watching him do these makes you want to replay it this way so you dont miss anything very helpful and makes me feel less paranoid that I missed something which I missed A LOT😂🤣😂🤣

I finished this game back in May, and I’ll be honest, there were many many parts, especially some bosses, that without your help/tips I probably wouldn’t have gotten past as fast or if at all. Your boss guide helped me THE MOST when it came time for the Demon of Hatred. That fight was so difficult, but when I sought out your guide on him, I actually managed to beat him, and I honestly got to a point where I felt like giving up bc I didn’t think I was skilled enough to get past him. But FightinCowboy gave me that extra confidence-boost. SwordSaint was also another one you helped me with.
The lone swordsman guy fights just like the purple ninjas. If u don’t have issues with those guys than you will kill lone swordsman no problem. Killed him on my first go when I recognized his move set. Only issue for me was camera lock on due to the cramped dungeon area.

That shadow guy is hard but even if you are new to make it simple all you have to do is study is movement it took me a while but if you watch before he hits you he pauses for about 2 seconds if you wait those two seconds then dodge then hit him quick and repeat it is pretty simple
Your walkthrough is really helpful. It also demonstrates one of the frustrating things about this game for me (besides the sheer, massive difficulty of it): it's so non-linear. You're jumping all over the place instead of just going from section to section like most other games. I feel like I'm never going to get through all this.
If you are like me and sort of loosely following this guide to point you in the right direction but not watching every minute as you want to explore on your own too, do not miss the part at @0:28:00 It is a must get item. (IMO).
Your guide is awesome. Normally I will play an area then look to this guide to see what I missed. Sometimes it works for me; as in no spoilers and the that damn huge snake scared the shit out of me. Other times it works against me; as in I sent that the big dude into the dungeon, so I guess I missed the mats. I did fight those two mini-bosses and way early, even before I knew about the Ashina Arts thing next to Oniwa, it was so tough. The one armed guy took me about 5 tries. Not to bad, but that damn spear dude was driving me insane. A single blow from him meant death. Basically forcing me to play perfect in order to beat him. I lost track of how many times I died. Must of taken anywhere from hour and a half to two hours, lol. It was crazy. I felt more relief then triumph when I finally defeated him. I could have saved myself a lot of head ache, however, that fight really helped to hone my skills.
You can throw a ceramic shard at the guy from above and get him to move so you can death blow him. (The guy in the antichamber you said you couldn't) 29:30ish

If you are like me and sort of loosely following this guide to point you in the right direction but not watching every minute as you want to explore on your own too, do not miss the part at @0:28:00 It is a must get item. (IMO).
the shinobi shuffle, my dude 🤣🤣🤣
i got motion sickness when i explore too much/looking for paths, this guide really help me alot !!
That guy running on fire had me dying laughing.
You can throw a ceramic shard at the guy from above and get him to move so you can death blow him. (The guy in the antichamber you said you couldn't) 29:30ish
Its been so fun playing along with your walkthrough. Thanks!
