it just sucks how the developers of nfs act like they don’t care about the game any more, we need more updates & they should add dlcs for the story or something.
The final tip is also called the “out-in-out” technique, it makes it so it’s the straightest and fastest way through a corner and obviously commonly used with racing drivers
Brake to maximum capacity at your braking point Move your vision to the apex point Turn-in your car at the turn-in point Make the apex of the ideal racing line Begin to introduce the accelerator Open up steering to the corner’s exit point This creates numerous advantages: as the turn-in point is slightly later, you can brake a little later, saving lap time the amount of time you spend turning is reduced - a car is fastest in a straight line, so you want to optimise this because the car is turned earlier in the corner, the corner exit is opened up, and you can get to full throttle sooner
@a random person the apex or clipping point is the point on the inside portion of a corner that a vehicle passes closest to. The apex can also be described as the point of minimum radius and slowest speed achieved in a corner.
Yea but thing is with most of these shortcuts you need to nail them to actually gain time and with rare bear you are basically required to use a car that doesn't clip 🗿
In the day race called raptor there are a few cuts on it as well a BIG cut in enterprise night race after hitting the 3rd checkpoint do the billboard jump which is on the left side of the course
To add on to the Racing Line topic, following the racing line can actually be slower depending on the situation. Know your surroundings and adjust you're racing line as well.
Something I’ve noticed while playing is regulating your speed when hitting the jumps. Some times it’s better to ease off the gas when approaching a jump as it will get you back to the ground quicker, and then back on the throttle for acceleration.
Nice video militia :) Btw a small pointer, the poles and other little stuff do actually affect speed, you can notice this especially when you go for times. The max you can lose from those is maybe 3kmh but it's still something that affects speed
I appreciate that feedback. I’ve never gone for records before. I was just watching the speedometer while running through it and haven’t noticed any loss of speed. But I do trust you on this. You’re a straight up Alien when it comes to racing games! :)
Just wanted to say thank you for helping me so much. I’m new to the game only started two weeks ago and I’m loving it. These videos are helping me loads your a legend.
The "all or nothing" thing goes for all racing games by the way. its not easy to stop doing that and you need to learn joystick control but, thats a part of it.

About the 2nd tip, the "All or nothing approach": This is where a wheel is absolutely great, once you get the technique for the sharp/close corners right, you'll be unbelievably smooth and fast...So, if you got a bit of money to spend, get a wheel :)
I wanna say for hand braking, usually the only reason you should be using the hand brake is for an AWD or FWD car, now I'm not saying for a RWD that you shouldn't use it definitely use it when its necessary but usually only for AWD and FWD cars
I have never lost A race in story mode and A lvl 50.. all 400+ cars.. the handbrake is very useful when going like 200mph Into A sharp corner because it stops you very quickly enough to get into the turn and nos.. better then slowing down like crazy and you will definitely not be able to drift into the turn at that speed
I'm a year late to the party, but I just started playing this game about a week ago and as an iracer I can confirm that the racing line tip is legit. Plus, it's alot more fun with a wheel ; )
I would say also avoid jumps that just go straight and back on track a little further. You're not gaining any speed on while on air and will loose speed with the impact. Also cornering too tight by touching the dirt on the side of the road will end on a not always profitable loss of speed.
Another racing mistake : Not taking shortcuts because in some races there are shortcuts that you must take because if you don’t use them the other racers will
Definitely helping the community a lot with this video man. Nicely done with this one but keep in mind the light poles and other destructible objects do slow you down. It’s not tremendously but it definitely effects you if your trying to get a PB.
