Thanks again Kenny. I was flummoxed by the new manager because all I ever used was last touched and that brought me immediately to the automation I wanted to use. Within 45 seconds you have given me back what I had. Thanks so much.
Great video. Great manager. Would prefer a 'clear automation envelope' by right clicking on the envelope name in the envelope manager. I know they are hearing. Regards
Thats cool! Question regarding that, is there a key command + click on a parameter that would automatically open that automation lane? In protools, if I have an effect open and I know what I want to automate, I ctrl cmnd click that aparameter and the automation lane pops up. Is there something similar in reaper?
thx! but one question: Is it possible to make the transition smoothly? (when i do it linear on bypass parameter it doesn't work correctly: the transition is still abrupt
Once again, I’ve got a question, and Kenny has an answer. I’ve been away for a bit, went to open a project the other day. Just want to mute the count in and suddenly I can’t find my mute envelope… or any other envelopes for that matter. Of course my mixed template doesn’t have the trim button showing by default on the tracks. I was pulling my hair out! Took me half an hour to figure out something that should take me three seconds to do.
Now integrate AI in the manager and let me describe what I want to hear, instead of dead-by-clicking every single change. Or "do it like they do it on this song" or "on the other track" aka prompting by example. To fix single things afterwards is still a nice workflow option, but pure manual is way to expensive. But I like the new interface nevertheless, but I thing the manual fiddling days are soon history, or just for hobbiists. "Handmade" may be soon synonymous for "too slow and thus expensive". It there any chance for a common and open (not priprroitary or fixed) AI interface in Reaper for such things? Not sure about the roadmap.
@@SjarMenaceSorry, simply not true. Reaper 7.01 was released in October, 2023. This the actual 7.1. Reaper 7.10 was released in February, 2024. Just check the REAPER changelog. Thank you.
@@SjarMenace you high... Again, look at official change log, there's never been a 7.1, only 7.01 and 7.10. if you can't get it I'm not sure it's my fault it's just math and versioning schemes...
The new envelope manager window rocks!
This was an expected improvement!

One of my favorite new features in v7. Makes it so much easier to quickly find the correct envelopes and switch between them.
Another wonderful Reaper improvement, and well explained. Thanks Kenny!

I really love the new envelope manager, the old one was just a nightmare to work with
Wow! Cool new stuff. Thanks.

Sadly you skipped the Touched column. Seeking to understand it just now, you sere.

You have a face?!?!?!
What about Tempo Change....
If you show Master track and open envelopes for Master track, Tempo map envelope will be there.
At last!
Great as always but the version number is not the right one... this was introduced in REAPER 7.10, not 7.1 - I know, version ambiguity, again ;)
Its the same…

@@mabian69you're delusional dude. 7.1, 7.10, or even 7.100000 are the same thing mathematically. Accept you were wrong and move on.
