That is most likely in the United States. In Australia, we adore it! 🥰 We consider the club to be a cheap vacation home because it has excellent possibilities and a terrific club! We can't find a cheap vacation house that costs $300,000 Aud, for instance, but it's great to be a club member and invest that $300,000 once off with an annual fee under $9,000, and you have a lot of options for vacationing all over the world! The lowest cost to acquire a vacation property is $1.2 million, and city taxes are $11,000 per year-and it doesn't include labour, gas, electricity, or improvements! However, it is my perception of the club.

I am Wyndham owner and I really have no complaints. I enjoyed your review and the music in the background was great. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to your reviews of the actual resorts.

Good to hear. Thanks for watching and sharing. We certainly had a good time at smuggler’s notch. Looking forward to the next two spots at the end of the month.

Agree with you that the worst website, it really brings me tons of frustration for searching resorts, floor plan does not always show each resort, don’t have enough useful Resort information, etc.
Since 2023 came, I started to book a top holiday season like Thanksgiving week which is 11mos away and I am eligible to book such future dates but the website shows only next 3 months to book, so I called the customer service about this tech issues, waited over 30min to get my turn, a woman gave me a phone # for tech dept. and I called and that was a wrong number. I still have the issue

I have no problem with a timeshare, but when you have to pay dues of over $100 every month which can increase without any kind of cap and then also pay a ton of hidden fees which are not disclosed during the sales presentation- then that is somewhat scammy. Also when they lie and say 10k points will get you 10-14 nights at a resort and it can be ar any resort- and they are just simply lying and being vague and try to sell you down the river - then yes- thats what we call scamming you. And worst of all- when they dont discuss that you have a cooling off period to rescind your contract- they they are breaking the law!!!

It’s unfortunate to buy resale points because they don’t come with any of the attached programs or benefits. It’s like buying a car with no AC, seat cushions and 2 windows are stuck down.

That is a great point and seriously worth considering. I was worried that that may be the case but haven’t yet looked into it. Thanks for sharing

@@TheAwakeford you only pay the maintenance fees. So that’s the bonus of resale. You get what you pay for when it comes to timeshare. I’m a sales representative in the industry, my best advice as follows:
      1. Don’t do it unless it makes 100% financial sense.
      2. Do it only if you know you are going to use it, our owners like the fact that it makes them take time off every year.
      3. If you do proceed in purchasing a timeshare, then the best way to purchase is on a sales presentation.
      4. DO NOT assume your tiny one week purchase will get you everything in the system. Buy big to save more money in the long run.
Remember that every $20,000 you invest in timeshare will equal $100,000 in savings over a 30 year lifetime of the ownership. You have to think of it as a savings account for vacation. The more money put in upfront, the better the returns will be.

So you mentioned 200k points but also stated 2 years. Did those 4 trips cost 200k or 400k points?

    • @TheAwakeford
      @TheAwakeford  2 ปีที่แล้ว

The four trips in total were approx 380,000 points (2 years worth of points for this contract). There have been a few questions popping up so I'm going to do a recap video now that the trips are all done to get into some of the nitty gritty. Thanks!

Nice coverage of the topic at hand, but the music though? Why? Just your vocals would have been fantastic. Can NOT hear you. Please, please, please people stop with the music if you're talking the entire video. We're here to hear YOU.

For someone that is not an owner you sure know how to push the content. Talking on and on and on like a sales person. I'm sure you could take 4 hours to explain per the other TH-camrs. Take it you haven't been disrespected, lied to by "customer service" per the "others" that have posted Wyndham ownership disputes.
"To be honest" you sound like you're using your relatives into perpetuity. Per their many successful attempts to settle claims, good luck with anyone trying to get the days and locations you want . So you know what's going to happen a year in advance or knowing the window of when you can schedule a location. Can't wait for them to be dragged into California courts for class action. Make sure that you tell them that all cleaning must be done by you before you leave a "resort". You'll have to drop-off and pickup all your linens with multiple day stays at a "resort". You give vacation a Bad Name.

Never, point systems especially are such a scam. I typically rent off-season through a certain method. I'll be staying at Wyndham Bentley Brook soon for 7 nights at $269. I use Chase and AMEX credit card points for Hyatt Resorts during prime seasons. I will be staying at The Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico in May for a week for free with my points.
