Factory speedo is way out if he maxed @ 166mp/h. It wound off the clock as he crossed the finish line.

Yep, and pro stock NHRA bikes do this a full 2 seconds faster and 40 mph higher, the bikes just keep getting faster and faster.

@@provenpowercycles I want a ZX14 , getting a bit old now at 54 so just picked up a ZX10 B1 Tomcat 1988 ( I'm not that old you wippersnapper ) Then tune it up dyno jet etc , still want a 14 but prices are huge still ! Will pick one up one day !
Nice , I'm 60 now and best I've done on my Gen 2 busa is low 10's. Funny, last time at the strip I beat a ZX14 . My luck, not good skills, made it happen.

Z1 to raise kids and keep tp mudd and derbies...NOW at 58 and baby girl 21 I just picked up a ZXr1200 ( came out year last baby was born and guys were breaking 200) Its , toothed/ rev/e removed stretched and Florida certified at 191 on the mile and 204.6 Top end with 6,700 miles ... Can't wait to join the 200 Club.. Gonna take a summer learning and giving this bike the respect it deserves. Launching is insane , watched @Eric Lee came out 5 and balancing throttle and time. like 9 seconds and 6 gears with the precision of an eye surgeon.
BTW picked the bike up $5,500 cause was toying with laying out 50K on the H2 x 320hp that was just clocked at 249? PEACE, Be careful , Respect the machines and others!!!!!

Yes, for a normal bike this is insane.This was about 180mph in about 10sec 🤤 The most insane acceleration I've seen online was from a topfuel dragster....330mph in 4.2 sec.The needle from his fueltank went from full to empty faster than the speedo on this bike goes from 0 to 80

I was following a guy in a pickup going 50 and finally got to a good stretch I could pass him and I down shifted a gear and cranked on it and my ZX 14 went from 50 to 90 in one second

That speedo needle moved just as fast as the tach! That was neck snapping acceleration!
First of all let me say that this is some awesome riding! Perfect launch and great throttle and clutch control keeping the front end on the ground but keeping the bike pulling extremely hard! The sound is like candy to my ears, I love it! I've watched this at least 10 times and I could probably watching it over and over all day long! But my curiosity is getting the best of me, I have to ask what it ran? Whatever it is it is hauling the mail, that's for sure! Great riding, great bike, great sound, great shifting and a great pass! Thanks for sharing this awesome video!

Holy crap, I would certainly know when to shift, but wouldn't be able to see the freaking track (i.e. that shift light's really bright!) Impressive speed!
That's a hell of a launch for a bike that powerful.... this thing must have wheelie bars to keep the front end down while pulling so hard down low.
No wheelie bars, it's sitting at about 67" wheelbase in this video 👍 just throttle and clutch control

Perfect launch. I've had zx 14 and zx14r 16 years......that sound as he hit higher speed is so familiar to me...not the sounds of the launch as back tyres cost $350 and I just ride on the open empty roads.
I've hardly ever had trouble with front wheel coming up...once my zx14 jumped up after I gave it full throttle in 4th whiledoing 140kmh.
I'm a medium skill rider , but the zx models are stable all the way to 300kmh, at 301kmh they become airborne.
No weave or wheelie. Respect. 👍

@@msmrepo3271 so I have a MPS air shifter kit that I've piggy backed off of a healtech quickshifter. Dialed in the kil times accordingly 🙌 but I will be switching over to RSR airshifter kit next.

@@AQHackAQ afaik its a shifter you use with your fingers by pushing buttons
the shifting itself is done via pistons using air pressure

That is one hell of a launch. There isn't anything like the zx14. Huge monster power... guess what once you hit close to 180kms she hunkers down and then peels our face off.

I’m not a bike drag racer by a damn sight, I gave up on even riding outside of trails and country roads when smartphones became ubiquitous and traffic became terrifying, but that’s one of the quickest, cleanest launches I’ve ever personally seen (I know Bradenton usually has outstanding prep, but that only goes so far). If the comments I’m seeing are accurate, this was a bottom 8s pass, I’m surprised the 60’ was 1.40, looked quicker than that to me, but I only take four wheels down a strip and even with bike power-to-weight, that contact patch can only be so big. Great run, man, really impressive.

PSA: the speedometer being off is NOT because he changed sprocket size. The second gen zx-14 uses a rear wheel speed sensor for the speedometer input, not the gearbox. With his extended swim arm he used a wheel sensor relocation kit putting it on the front wheel, which is a smaller size tire therefore has more wheel speed than the rear wheel. Without having a speedo corrector, you're going to get false readings like you see here.

That’s insane. While I think 0-60 may still be faster in a Tesla or hellcat, the amazing part is you essentially keep climbing after 60 at the same pace as 0-60. No car would take you in my opinion. Nice work.

The way I tuned my bike was: L mode is for VP MR12 race gas. F mode was set for 60 shot of nitrous. I have a shop where I specialize in tuning.
Depends on how you tune it.
You can flash the ecu and upload different maps on the power modes.
Most zx14 owners I know use gap pump map for F and mr12 map for L.
I'm surprised at the number of individuals who don't seem to know you can get the ecu tuned, change your sprockets, lower your front end and extend your swing arm, do work to the engine, ect lol
