      @@pachurro2762 Not while it's in the air. When they first pop out of the little pods as projectiles, you can shoot the projectile before it hits the ground and kill them. Railgunner's primary doesn't target them during that so you have to ADS.

      @@pachurro2762 It does when they first land...if you lead the shot a bit. The tracking can't keep up with them while in mid air usually, without real good angles, and even when their on the floor sometimes the projectiles will hit the floor instead of the enemy because it moves so fast, so ya gotta lead the shot into hitting from the same direction their moving usually

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but void fiend's normal drown attack seems to have a very very slight autoaim. There are times when my crosshair was off of an enemy but the beam hit it any way.

      @@bananamanbro6613 It has auto-aim because the shot itself is very narrow compaired to other primaries - the slight auto aim means that it will actually hit so long as any part of the crosshair is on the target, which is how most primaries work when they don't have shot deviation (also known as bloom, it is the accuracy penalty for continuous fire on some primaries), and also means that Void Fiend can actually HIT the Lesser Wisp on the other side of the map instead of just shootimg the wall next to it from across the map.
      The corrupted primary doesn't have auto aim, but it has a wider radius, and it simply hits anything that the auto-aim could lock onto that close up anyway.

    I personally think loaders passive should get a bit of a higher spot due to its complete fall damage negation. Maybe high b tier but thats just me.

      You're so right cuz Loader's playstyle revolves around getting to great heights all the time. The character would be garbage and couldnt utilize other abilities if not for this part of the passive.

      The scrap armor is just an early game bonus for endless survivability. That fall damage stopping though...M m m that's the good stuff right there. I'd have never gotten even half the run wins I have with her without that passive

    Dont forget that railgunner's "m1" (the rapid fire auto aim thingy) can reduce fall damage, and with enough attack speed makes her gain verticality. Just something to note

    Honestly my only objection is the complain against the autoaim in Huntress' primaries. Like, their main draw is that you can sprint while using them, and if they didn't have the autoaim you couldn't really use that to your advantage as much, as you couldn't efficiently hit enemies to your sides while running circles around them.

      my main objection is railgunner's marksman going below void fiend's primary even though marksman is basically just the exact same thing with an extra 100% base damage, more fire rate, and can crit

    Neat fact about Merc: If you use either dash about 1/4 into your primary swing, the swing hitbox will be active during the entire dash! On the third primary attack, this applies expose too and, with his alt utility having a little delay before the damage, can allow you to always deal expose dmg with your utility! Makes ranged merc in particular feel way better since the utility itself can now proc tons of expose, meaning your utility can essentially never be on cooldown in optimal situations.

      This applies to all Merc abilities. If you aren't using it before every eviscerate, you're throwing. It's just free cool down reduction and extra damage.

      Keep in mind that the hitbox seems to only be active if you first dash into an enemy near you. Basically, you can expose an entire line of enemies but only if the first enemy you hit is near you. Otherwise, you can't really expose enemies thats far from you. It's extremely powerful with his alt utility because you expose enemies twice in one dash.

    Now we need an enemy tier list with blind pests being being so low on the list you have to scroll for 15 minutes to get to them.

    I'm no expert to any degree but as a void fiend main, I would feel much more incentivized to use his corrupted R if instead of sacrificing 25% HP for 25% corruption, it simply refills the entire meter at the cost of the same 25% HP if you feel the need to stay corrupted (because let's be real, +25% corruption in the grand scheme of things is completely unnoticeable in his corrupted form)

      as an alternative it could simply replace his R ability altogether, I was discussing with a buddy the other day and we both agreed Hopoo missed an opportunity with void fiend's kit not utilizing the void's trademark "void explosion" (like the reaver's death blow), not sure how but it would be a neat addition to his loadout.

      I agree, if I remember right if you take 25% of your health in damage that normally just gives you 25% corruption to begin with. So if you want more Corrupt time you... just stand there and let an enemy hit you.
      The ability does nothing the Void Fiend doesn't already have especially since when you become full corrupted it just sits there taking up space.

      It gets worse. There was a bug that caused it to be affected by some damage amp items, and that made it so much worse. Not only did this cause it to kill you on accident, it still only gave 25% corruption even if it did all the damage, which is especially terrible because taking that much damage from an actual hit would give you more corruption than using it does - and if you have the healing to recover from the damage taken, bad news - doing so is a net loss of corruption.

      @@masonoreilly7512 yeah I definitely agree. His corrupted R is not only really situational, but it has limited charges, so you can't even spam it to stay corrupted if you have a ton of healing. Imo it should be a glass cannon type attack that either sacrifices a chunk of health or corruption and has a pretty big cooldown. Maybe a devastator black hole barrage, implosion bomb, or something like that.

      let's be real, it's useful. whenever i finish a map, there's no enemies and i need to traverse the map faster, it's useful.

    Jokes aside, I really feel like hacking beacon is SS tier. Especially now that you can get executive card and hack multishops for 3 items, and even those green multishops. If I see a shrine of chance early game it's two items guaranteed, and there's been times I've hacked and hit shrine 6+ times on level one. So much gold and time saved. For me it's a guaranteed God run every game with captain.

      yea except for after 1st loop you got so much money you don’t rly need to hack. it’s cool and all esp for shorter runs but eventually it ends up becoming essentially useless, if money was not so abundant after looping (or even first loop if you get lots of Gups or a void seed) then I would say S tier but def not SS at all

      @@Chuckychargeblade I do agree but the later in a run in general most survivors abilities become useless. In a God run you literally don't need to use any of your abilities. Long story short I think early game(first two loops) are the most important things to determine if you have a good run or bad one. Mainly agree with you though.

      @@KingOfTheDungle true, still my point of the over abundance of money still stands, even before you start murdering everything on screen with one click. if hackable loot spawned closer together more often or legendary chests weren’t so rare aside from guaranteed I could see it being S but I rly don’t think hacking is crazy enough on any normal run to be considered that nuts. I do agree that early game is extremely important tho, which is where it shines the best

    I just wanted to say, my favorite use for Captains taser is to hold something like an elder lemurian or beetleguard in place so I can get all 3 Orbital shifts off on it. Or just to keep it stunned while I deal with a horde of smaller enemies. It just helps keep big guys off my back.

      yea that’s the intended use. try out hooks of heresy, keeps them locked in place with the added benefit of fucking nuking their health, hitting multiple enemies at once, and getting nuts with backup mags. taser is unfortunately balls

      The thing is it’s pretty easy to hit all three strikes on larger enemies without the taser since they tend to stand still to use their attacks.

    Another reason as to why blight sucks is that applying multiple stacks of blight doesnt refresh the timer for previous stacks unlike with bleed, so eventually even with your 50 backup mags you'll hit a hard limit on how many blights you can stack.

      i like to change acrids primary attack to his ult by spamming the cooldown shoulders (lunar item) it isnt affected by lower attack speed so you can spam it with blight and stack it up like crazy. it does erase 2 abilities since your attack speed is so slow u cant use primary or secondary, but i think being able to spam ult non stop makes up for it since the ult also procs

    I love Whirlwind. Had a run where I had something like 12 Backup mags and just became a lawnmower.
    It's a really satisfying ability.

    Hooks of heresy is pretty strong damage-wise with pretty decent aoe and it can casted very quickly; I don’t think it should be in the same tier as phase rounds or ravenous bite

      I keep hearing people say, "hooks are hard to use". Personally, I always just stack a few mags and just spam it up close to clear large groups of scary enemies. I rarely bother with charging it.

    Honestly the bullet spread on Nail gun isn't even an issue. Most of the enemies in this game are large and the small ones are low HP

    Loaders passive also makes her immune to fall damage, which is pretty good in the context of making her playable (free red item effect)

    Huntress main: Numbers aside, I also hated flurry at first, but there's some nuances to flurry that make me never want to take it off these days.
    The flurry is guaranteed to come out at the target you highlighted *the moment the animation starts*.
    This means you can circle strafe while sprinting by jumping and flicking your camera; you don't have to sorta run towards the thing or stop sprinting like with strafe.
    You can also cancel the draw animation into another ability and the arrows will still come out, so you get a little combo out of it.

    Rex's root special allows him to have 2 debuffs in his base kit and it can also keep mithrix completely still with 0 cdr.
    Edit: artificer fire primary and flamethrower also got a massive nerf because of the fire changes: th-cam.com/video/XpCAW6jMgqE/w-d-xo.html

    I'm surprised you don't consider Seed Barrage S tier. It's what makes REX so damn good.

      I think the reasoning is looking at the ability by *itself* with no kit synergy. Yes, Seed Barrage is Rex's main source of damage, but you have to depend on other parts of Rex's kit to make it become excellent. If you put Bandit's Backstab on anyone, they would be amazing. Same with Corrupted Drown, Commando/Captain M1, Loader Punches, etc. If you put Seed Barrage on anyone, they likely won't have the healing/sustain to properly use this.
      In short, yes, Seed Barrage is Rex's best move. It is exceptionally strong in his own kit, but almost everything in S tier is great as a stand alone ability.

      @@libertyprime9307 I think it's more so that he's not really thinking about it too hard and he's just going off of the feel of each of them on an average run with each survivor, without getting too much into item synergies or the mathematics of their abilities. Hence why it's not entirely "objective" and shouldn't be taken too seriously, because he's definitely making good arguments for the placement of each ability, but you could also make arguments for the other abilities as well, like strides or some of the other beacons, which comes down to personal playstyle and preference at the end of the day.

    1:12:40 I think you’re right - Railgunner’s numbers are so ridiculously high as they are that you don’t really feel the crit items changing anything, it’s definitely useful to give you something out of crit but the only time I noticed the amount of damage a lens maker added was when I was unlocking polar field device

    I don't think trespass deserves to be as low as it is. It's an amazing ability with an insanely long invulnerability time and you can charge flood during it which gives a huge boost to vertical momentum, so much so the void fiend is almost unrivaled in their ability to move up.

    The biggest crime is the treatment of the mercenary utility skills. AOE damage, crazy mobility, executes on bosses like AWU, plus resets or stuns/expose? Those abilities are arguably S tier but they placed low B. Someone explain to me how Commandos slide is better.

    I'm sad about hooks of heresy. It's so good with a couple back up mags and you just spam it up close. It's saved many of my runs and I always take it on captain.

    Regarding flurry at 6:30, it may be mathematically better for dps, but when 1 shot of either flurry or strafe would kill a target, strafe is going to let you move on to additional targets sooner. I value clearing the early stages way higher than the late game, since the abundance of items you have will likely patch most holes.

    Huntress' flurry with plasma shrimp feels pretty nice, just unleashing a barrage of projectiles on 1 enemy feels so satisfying, though that's just my personal preference

    So a detail I don't see mentioned EVER in RoR2... MULTI's Nail Gun does a shotgun blast when tap fired. It introduces a short fire delay but has better dps than holding the trigger and with better accuracy.

    So, assuming I did the maths right, rating abilities 5 for S 0 for F, averaging out the values to compensate for survivors with different number of abilities. A survivor tier list from this would be, from top to bottom: Loader, Bandit, Huntress, Railgunner, Merc, Void, Cap & Rex (same value), Commando, Multi, Engineer, Artificer & Acrid (same again) and Heratic on their own at the bottom.

    As a person who plays a lot of engi, harpoon is great, but bubble shield is also really good. If you break the habbit of standing still inside of you shield at all times and is very useful for utility. It comes up quickly enough to block almost any ranged attack besides maybe imp overlords, mythrix spikes, and wandering vangrants rapid fire. I can easily save you from vangrant explosions and granparents heat it up. I roll both harpoons and bubble about equally

    I think pairing it with chrono/tentabauble
    Makes it really solid and useable. You are able to drop it and move which compliments the fast paced huntress as opposed to ballista which kinda leaves you hanging until you're done.
    Not saying it's better but I think it's just as useable

      you can unload ballistae shots just as fast as you’d cast arrow rain, for a skilled player it’s a non-issue and ballista is better in almost every way.

    For acrid, with animation cancels, it now gives you the 10% heal while animation cancelling, which I think gives him a better early game and makes him a little better than before :D

      @@Drummerx04 no it wasn't. Regeneration is 10% hp per second. The regen effect lasts for 0.5 seconds. It's always been like this.

      @@Drummerx04 yes the math is correct, but regenerations effect BEFORE said 10% over 1 second and the effects duration lasted half a second before as well. The effect wasn't changed, the wording just changed. Acrid's heal hasn't been nerfed.

    Don’t forget that Bramble Volley does 550% dmg, heals, does AOE, and is considered a Utility, which means it’s affected by hardlight afterburner, making you have 3 charges of a screen wiping death shout.

      I think Huntress' auto aim is the Achilles' heel to her power. It ensures that enemies stay alive for the longest time possible. It is much better to kill one enemy than damage a bunch of enemies equally.
      Example: On sky meadows, if there is a group of wisps, brass contraptions, and mushrums, I want to kill the brass contraptions first since they are the most lethal enemy out of that group. Due to auto aim, say my flurry hits a wisp(uh oh), then my glaive hits two mushrums back and forth(not good). This is where ballista steps in. Ballista lets me *choose* what I want dead. I spam R 3 times and now it's just the wisps and mushrums left(much safer group of enemies compared to before).
      Without ballista, I would of had to kite those enemies for an extra minute just to split up the group of enemies and hope my flurry+laser glaive kills everything.
      P.S I like flurry too, it's a lot less irritating to flick back and forth with compared to strafe :)

    Woolie, you do feel the effects of the crits from Railgunner but you don't realize it.
    At 10 Crowbars getting 1 Glasses gives you an 11th Crowbar in terms of damage but also 10% damage versus non-full enemies.
    At 11 Crowbars 1 Glasses is actually boosting your damage by 1.1 Crowbars or better then a new Crowbar.
    At 20 Crowbars 1 Glasses gives you 2 more Crowbars worth of damage.

      Stop and think about real runs for a moment. 3 Crowbars, 2 Watches, and 1 Glasses.
      At 6 items glasses boost the damage by 26.5 from those and 10 from the base increase for almost 2 whole damage items with the benefit that when you inevitably don't 1-shot an enemy and reduce an enemy under 90% you can still get a decent damage boost from 2 Watches + 1 Glasses.
      You'll keep 1-shotting enemies longer with Glasses then without in real runs.
      With Watches and other 20% damage items having just 5+Glasses is the same as getting a new 20% item.
      The second you hit 200% damage boosted Glasses become better then almost all items and once you hit 750% Glasses overtake literally all damage boosting items.

    man it's so crazy that Woolie thought Slicing Maelstrom ability was D tier and not A tier omg. No cap 875% AoE damage for 3 seconds with 700% AoE damage for a combined 3325% AoE damage per cast + rooted debuf + 0.2 Proc Coefficient on small hits and 1.0 on final hit, its one of the highest damaging skills in the game. It is 100% janky to use, but once you get the hang of it or just plant it next to a big slow boss you will see the DPS. I love the teir list for making discussions and I am glad you made one MR.STREAMER :)

    41:50 One of my favourite builds I've ever gone actually revolves entirely around strides of Heresy. I became heretic with 4 stacks of strides for 12 second invul + afterburner. Then went hellfire tincture + gestures + razorwire stacking. It turned me into a permanently invincible ball of death that instantly killed every enemy in a hundred meter radius.

    The void bombs actually give tons of momentum when shot midair so I usually use it for mobility because you can charge while sprinting

    One thing I want to point out is that the XQR Smart Round System becomes an essential ability in late game when so much stuff is spawning that scoping in for sniper shots can be risky. After about halfway through my second loop, I find myself almost exclusively using it over either of the scoped weapons.

    I totally agree that Commandos grenades need a rework. They aren't "random" but they feel so hard to aim correctly. The only real reason to grab these is to proc bands on an immobile target. Getting a frag off on Mithrix takes some serious skill and luck.

    (1st primary)

    only thing that kinda bugs me tbh is how often you say an ability is bad "because its melee" yet with alot of survivors you say "i like to stay close to the enemy/barrel stuff them". other than that i think i agree with most of the list, although as a loader main i honestly much prefer loaders thunderslam over the pylon, i dont really see the point of a little bit of extra mobility when i can just grapple literally anything else and get almost the same effect as the pylon, minus the small speed boost if you can time the grapple on the pylon right.

      There's a huge difference between close and melee. You absolutely dont want to be in melee range of a flaming elder lumerian. But if your close range , you get max damage and ur far enough away to avoid instant death shotgun fire breath. That's the distinction. And basically all void enemies you dont want to be touching them

      @@classymofo1059 honestly in my opinion its easier to dodge enemy melee attacks when youre much closer, i can easily run around most melee enemies and dodge 90% of their attacks, and be in melee range myself. again though im a loader main so i guess im basing most of my experience off that, maybe its not as viable with the ranged survivors, but i still dont think a skill is inherently "better" because its ranged. staying at a distance with merc/acrid, while potentially safer, basically means you cant utilise half of their kit. youre correct with the flaming elites though, just touching them applies burn so they are always the biggest problem for me.

      Close range is bandit/captain shotgun. Dont want to use them from across the world, but you're still shooting from range. Melee means you have to go into the range where enemy attacks are undodgeable, which means you die.

    Don't get the hate for flurry, it really doesn't take many items for it to become decent and crit especially makes it much better than strafe, but the extra number of hits for procs seems better late game when items deal all your damage

      Captain primary can easily out proc flurry, even if huntress has full crit and captain has no items: th-cam.com/video/WIpkGFQ8e3o/w-d-xo.html. Strafe has a proc coefficient of 1 and also fires faster, making it scale really well.

    I think you forgot about the mobility that Bandit's melee secondary gives him, it gives him some much needed horizontal mobility if used when sprinting!
    Also, Merc's dash sending him *too* far on his main utility is negated by the fact that, if you don't miss your utility (which is pretty dang easy to hit), you can just turn around and use your utility to get right back.

    flurrys DPS is also terrible. Flurry with 10x Crit Glasses does less DPS than Captains M1 with nothing.
    this video sort of demonstrates it. Obviously Captain's M1 is also just really, really good - but if you were to balance the scales flurry is still pretty bad.

      This video is rather unfair, yes at point blank range where you don't charge the shotgun that is true.
      Outside of that range or against small-medium sized enemies you charge and your DPS drops massively either through charging or wiffing pellets. It takes into account only a "perfect" situation which makes it all the more inaccurate.
      Flurry at the medium range where you try to stay to avoid attacks is going to have an equal DPS due to charge time or missing 1-6 pellets.
      This is case of poor testing and omitting key parts provides a false narrative even unintentionally.

      @@Buglin_Burger7878 I don't think the video is perfect, however I do think that even given changes in the environment that captains M1 would still come out on top. Both of Huntresses M1's are capped at a range which the captain doesn't. Past Huntresses range, her M1 does 0 DPS whereas Captain can charge his shot up to still do something at least. At the max range of Huntresses M1, I don't think there'd be that big of a difference either.

    Arrow rain is actually good for slow moving things, like the stone golems. But I will use it over myself in case creatures get too close.

    Pressure Mines are a solid F until they fix the bug where the mines auto-detonate as soon as they are placed, and the bug where uncharged mines will sometimes miss targets point blank
    (honestly I don't think Hopoo have played with them since Skills 2.0 either)

      Yeah. It is technically stronger if you hit multiple things per shot, but I feel like it needs a bit of a damage buff or something to help it keep up with fireball

      @@abra_escaped I don't really think it needs a damage buff. It can get procs on each thing you hit. So if you hit three beetles with one plasma bolt you could technically proc 3 atgs at once.

    Honestly when you get a tiny bit of crit flurry feels better than strafe, the 6 arrows all at once just feels amazing even with no attack speed.

      @@rowleyryan9025 With 16% crit flurry has 1.6% less on paper DPS so just at just 2 glasses its actually better DPS wise to have flurry. With how common whites are its real easy to get those 2.

    Factor in the fact that you’ll mainly be hitting weak points of enemies with Railgunner, and his normal sniper goes from 1000%-1500% damage to 2000%-3000% damage.
    Crazy damage
