With the blood shrine trick: Consider actually using Acrid's full M1 chain, the third hit heals you and would have saved you time despite the DPS loss on the final 2 golems that spawned in stage one lol

I've got about 180 hours in the game, only about 10-20 is me finally playing on monsoon, and honestly the tips you've given have honestly helped me out SO. MUCH!!! Like you said towards the end, uncut videos like this really show that with some skill and planning, you can definitely turn a run around. And I never even thought about the stage 5 command artifact, that helped out so much too! Keep making vids like this when you can, they are great!
Purity +1 backup mag will make your spit attack as fast as an average normal attack, with all the power and poison.... its too damn good.... if you stack a few purity (3) you can jump around like an idiot and just spit epidemics all over the place while bouncing like a crack addicted rabbit

I have fought the artificact reliquary at least 10 times and never realized it shot at you. It just seemed like a wave of defense with a damage the boss gimmick. Fun fact you can completely ignore the bosses bullets
I started playing the game yesterday. I love how you are not tightly stricted to the RNG and you can have good runs even if the odds are not in your favour. I still gotta try that command thing.
on my 3rd play through this game the first day i got it I got most of these great items on commando, and then on top of that I got the aspect of fire drop which I was not aware was so rare. I ended up doing over 1 million damage, but because this was my 3rd time ever playing I managed to get to the big final boss before you loop I still got destroyed because I was just inexperienced but I can't deny that was my best run by far for a long time.
Really helpful video. I'm new to the game and have always been fully looting every stage (about 10-15 minutes per), I didn't realize until now how much that was actually making it more difficult.
It's an OK suggestion... I've played many god runs on monsoon difficulty while looting every chest, but I suppose Woolie's method could make things easier... maybe. (The difficulty scaling jumps between levels, so your items per minute is negatively impacted by frequent stage hopping).

tbh as long as you can consistently escape the early game you'll get good rng, I literally get god runs every run, I'm not some amazing player or anything, it's just how the game is, unless your rng is quite literally the worst possible, you will get god runs, even with average rng, especially after the SOTV update.
i actually really like these uncut run videos. i dont always have time to watch your stream so having a full run just sitting here for when im free is really relaxing even if im not searching for the specific help the videos lends.
Have you tried doing a run with specific artifacts? Like I know you’ve done MAAO run before but I mean like some of the other fun ones. Like command, sacrifice, swarms, kin, and honor. I know CSS is a common set to run but adding kin and honor can add a degree of variability to it. I especially love stacking old guillotine because it applies to all the enemies. Like command is optional, mostly just to get used to the artifact of honor. Just some food for thought

The best RNG I've had was doing a Monsoon run on REX, where I had gotten 4 red items by stage 3. I was fucking floored by it. Tbf I was playing on command, but the luck still was insane.

One time I got meathook on siren's call. Then I hooked about ten jellyfish into my face. Including a glacial, blazing, and at least two overloading jellies.
how did you hook them into your face? generally the hook deals a LOT of damage and chains so many on hits it kills most 'small' targets and even many mediums too... i assume you were a melee survivor?

Hey Woolie I love your videos, and I always love learning from what you put out (Just so you know, please make more of these uncuts, they're great). However, one question I have is that this is the first time that you've ever said to kite in this game as far as I can remember. You've always said get super melee range to enemies, it is harder for them to hit you. From watching stream vods and so on I've come to the conclusion that you tend to stick to melee range in the first loop, then as you build up damage and proc chains you tend to start to kite any enemies that don't immediately explode. I understand it can be hard to define hard rules like this, but would you generally agree that 1st loop = melee range, 2nd loop and on = kite anything? Or would you say its generally because most things in the early game (1st loop) aren't super dangerous (like invisible blazing elder lemurians lel). Thanks for reading my question!
That's a pretty good rule to go by, yeah. After first loop it's pretty dangerous to get close to enemies because just one hit can put you at critical health, then the situation can spiral out of control, maybe because a celestine wisp is cloaking everyone while you run away and you get hit by invisible fireballs that you didn't see coming.
the game feels so much easier now, I usually take like an hour on just the first 5 stages and enemies don't stand a chance because items scale so well and even bad items are worth the time because of scrappers/printers I can't remember the last time I struggled with a looped stage without using mods to make looping harder. 54:30 So you guys probably definitely know this by now due to SotV DLC, but RoR2 is divided into 3 main factions: Void, Lunar (Mithrix’s Chimera’s and etc), and (dont know what to call the last one uhhh) Petrichor (the normal creatures that serve Providence from the first game). Void creatures want to take over the planet and the moon but, couldn’t at first because of the existence of Providence (SPOILER killed by the Survivor/You at the end of the first game). Now that he’s gone they’ve begun their assault and try to detain you, a “godly” creature. Mithrix is still a threat but once you kill him, you see the void reavers start to go crazy and attack you and they detain the entire moon. Lunar creatures serve Mithrix who had been at odds with his brother and planned to take over Petrichor V once more. You won’t find them on Petrichor obviously. And Petrichorians are what you’ve been fighting throughout the entire game. They were saved from different planets by Providence and are basically fighting to defend their home from Humans (You), the Void, and Mithrix (although Mithrix never got the chance to invade). That’s why you see the a scavenger and a bunch of other monsters fighting that void reaver. Nice little lore lesson for you guys that I feel is more or less accurate.
I got to stage 4 two hours into a run. I AFK-ed with Artifact of Kin with beetles as the enemy. You can stun-lock beetles with the shock drop. (Also had the Artifact of Command and the Artifact of Sacrifice with Swarms in there too.) The chest was over 5k. :)

Basically what I took away from this is make good choices in the early game so you can survive long enough for your rng to turn good.

Woolie a good way to get stuff out of your eyes is to cover your eye with the eye lid (don’t close,grab it) and roll your eye
I had a small fruit fly or something like below my eye in the socket kinda. Flew in there when i was going home on a bike

PROC stands for "programmed random occurrence". Makes it less abstract for a lot of people when they understand what it stands for.

Now that he’s gone they’ve begun their assault and try to detain you, a “godly” creature. Mithrix is still a threat but once you kill him, you see the void reavers start to go crazy and attack you and they detain the entire moon.
Lunar creatures serve Mithrix who had been at odds with his brother and planned to take over Petrichor V once more. You won’t find them on Petrichor obviously.
And Petrichorians are what you’ve been fighting throughout the entire game. They were saved from different planets by Providence and are basically fighting to defend their home from Humans (You), the Void, and Mithrix (although Mithrix never got the chance to invade).
That’s why you see the a scavenger and a bunch of other monsters fighting that void reaver.
Nice little lore lesson for you guys that I feel is more or less accurate.

I got to stage 4 two hours into a run.
I AFK-ed with Artifact of Kin with beetles as the enemy. You can stun-lock beetles with the shock drop. (Also had the Artifact of Command and the Artifact of Sacrifice with Swarms in there too.)
The chest was over 5k. :)
Btw, you can get the scorched acres I ewt with basic acrid (no items) if you just jump from the giant rock by where you spawned, up to the overhang
