    I have a '22 Ecodiesel with a GFC tent and 2 solar panels on top of it (350W). My favorite mod that I did was adding a 40 gallon Transfer Flow fuel tank in the back. I can go like 1,200 miles without gas stations.

      Yeah that's awesome! You can drive to the end of the flat earth and off the edge!

    The EcoDiesel as the perfect Jeep engine, it's all about torque. Not as sexy as Shaun and Casey's big Hemi's but appropriate for the task. It's concerning to me that Jeep will discontinue the EcoDiesel. With camper shell, RTT, and 37's and 4.56 gears I'm getting 21-22 mpg at 65mph. Thanks to the nice lady at your shop for sending me to the shop in Austrillia to get the flare extensions i saw you running last year.

      Huge thanks from our team for your support. We appreciate you. Agreed, the EcoDiesel is a fantastic solution... at least it's staying around for another year!

    Do you have a video that shows how you wired up your switchpod setup that goes to the Ecoflow. I have two ecoflows that are mounted in the bed of my Gen 2 Raptor that stay in the truck under my Snugtop and I have always wanted a way to charge them whenever I am driving so curious how you managed that. Loving the channel and details on all the work you guys do.

    • @EPIC-4WD
      @EPIC-4WD  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Johnny! Simply put - we just ran a Dometic Fridge Wiring kit from the bed of the truck to a circuit on the sPod under the hood. That way, we can manually turn on the sPod circuit to charge, and if we forgot to turn it off, the sPod would automatically do it for you at a set voltage level from the battery.

    Got any recommendations on heated blankets?

    Did you regear for the 38’s? If you did what gear ratio did you use?

    • @EPIC-4WD
      @EPIC-4WD  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, Re-geared with Dana 4.56s. Gets the math back to a little steeper than stock. Has worked wonders.

    Great video and awesome rig. Have to admit I'm a softy also and was wondering what heated blanket you use. Thanks in advance for your answer.

    • @EPIC-4WD
      @EPIC-4WD  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah yes, welcome to my heated blanket club. We're all softies! Any heated blanket off of Amazon will work fine, just don't get one with a cigarette lighter plug (for a car), just get an everyday one and then use a Jackery or EcoFlow or whatever power bank. And you put the blanket between you and the mattress, don't put it over yourself. Works wonders to keep the cold at bay ;-)

    • @EPIC-4WD
      @EPIC-4WD  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've had that de-rate speed issue twice in 2 years. Both times going up a high mountain pass with high ambient temperatures.

      On this setup with a Gladiator, nope. Never contacts. No idea about a Tacoma.
