Awesome video Shaun, you know one thing for sure Braun is a get'er done kind of friend to wheel with, he is not afraid of work, that night sky wow is all that can be said, the drone footage is epic as always, that first campsite on the river bank, great spot and the washouts gnarly and very cool, hats off to the dudes in the Tundra still paying homage to his friend that crashed fire fighting 48 yrs ago , the pilot was only 50 yrs old ,this mechanic has to be in his 70's , a rare breed not many around these days, looking forward to your next video, Bruce is awesome with a restless spirit for adventure 👍
9:40 I used to build roads for the loggers with my dad and my uncle up Ainslie Creek back in the 1980s. I'm fortunate to have worked in so many backcountry areas. Now I visit them again, but in my free time. Excellent video!
If you get a chance to go back to Cabin Lake and do the hike into the Conair crash site it is worth it. The hike is not difficult, but does take a bit of time. There are a few routes in (I took the easier one from Cabin Lake). The plane is in pieces along a rock/scree slope; most have slid toward the bottom of the slope. The crash was quite violent and the parts show it. It sits in a horseshoe shaped hanging valley. The walk in is beautiful and the exploring around the slope is interesting. At just over 6000 feet this site has snow for a good part of the year, so late summer and into the fall are the best times to visit for most people. If you are a Geocacher there is a cache nearby. Thanks for taking us along on another adventure!
Brother, I cannot express in words how I love watching your videos..keep it going strong, and always remember you're making a difference for many of us in this world!
Nice lake. Good story. Here Down Under we have a show on TV that explores historical incidents with their hard-core four-wheelers. Many WW2 US plane crash sites in the north.
Just came across your channel 6 hours ago, and I've been hooked watching it since. Great narration, quality of film work, and all around excellence. Keep up the great work, stay safe, and stay dirty. 🤘
Stoyama mtn, one of my favorite places to go! Love that area. The floods really fckd it up. The first camp spot you were at was "Little Box canyon" and was an epic watering hole
That night sky was AWESOME! … Loved the trail that you were NOT supposed to be on. 😳 … Would love to see a spec sheet on each rig, and equipment used. 😎🍷🛻🇺🇸
It's been a late summer on Vancouver Island and I was able to get out to places that are normally snowed in by now. Looks like other parts of the province are also open later than normal. Enjoy it while you can!
awesome video born and raised in that part of the country another router is the coldwater road takes you to silver lake and then uptp lightning lake and then back down to spius creek full circle.thx
In looking at the dedication plaque, and it listing Stoyoma Mtn as the location, I Google mapped it, and in the Sat. pics, just north of said mountain, there are two pieces of something, different color than anything around them, could be the remnants of said plane. Which puts them over the top of the mountain directly north and east, or behind the little peninsula you were all parked on at Cabin lake. BTW, always enjoy your videos, and seeing the sights in Canada's back country.
TI's amazing the people you run into out the bush. Earlier this year I went camping up near holberg on van island and visited the old army base and a couple of weeks later I ran into an aircraft mechanic. he'd have stories of pilots flying up there and dropping anchor before running the plane aground.
Another great video! I've wheeled up mountains quite a few times (nothing like your adventures), up to 3,000ft. I noticed that you guys drive fast on that terrain. I usually go up doing 10 mph in 4 Low lol
I know I say it a lot but I just love your videos, Shaun. You are really beginning to master your craft with these videos. And I always love seeing your friends in the videos! I feel like I know all of you.
My favorite online show dude. I remember back in the day off road shows were non-existent . Now they're a regular thing ...but Shaun this is my absolute favorite so thank you .
Insanely interesting video! The silver LJ is rad! I’ve got a silver LJ as well and it’s a mild built weekend wheeler. As much as I’d love a built JKU, I do love my LJ. Very interesting story to!
Im a fan of your channel since you got your first Gladiator, I don't know why, but this is now one of my favorite videos on your channel, maybe because the cinematography and narration is on point. My favorite video was the one where you go to a mountain to make some burgers and and a friend of yours spreads some ashes over the valley, but I cant find it anymore. Greetings from B.C (Baja California)
Bruce and myself are down in Baja right now. Was a fun drive from BC to BC. 😆 I’ll have to check out your channel to see what cool places we passed on the way down. Cheers
Get that rear exhaust outlet up and out of the way. I love to put them through the bumper. Other than that it is amazing. I just wish i could get decent diesels over here in the USA. Right now I have to import them.
Awesome adventure. Even sometimes you don’t find what you set out for,its the adventure along the way what makes the memories. Top video as always. Safe travels 👍🏼
I have watched you on and off for a while now but this video made me a subscriber. The quality and the editing was superb! The way you laid out the storyline was captivating. Awesome job!!
Thanks for sharing this adventure with us all. I live in Ontario, where we don’t have a lot of mountains, and after visiting a Jeep dealer yesterday, it’s clear a new Gladiator ($$$) is not in my short term future.
On part 10:21 Shovels . Are good for trails like this . I’ve been in spots where I can’t get out . But I start digging outt an making it easier for the Truck to go up an out . Or someone should of gone around first to go down that little hill climb . This one guy In Utah does it all the time . He goes in reverse an starts making it less steep . On wash outs like that .
I lost both legs in Afghanistan and have always wondered if I could overland and drive to remote areas. But when I saw him, I was blown by his strenght and am dead inspired. Love that guy.
Really been enjoying your filming/editing style on these videos. Curious as to what drone you're using. I froze the image of it launching from the hood of the JT but still couldn't identify it. Meanwhile... on to the next video!
hey Shaun, great vid as always. Just a suggestion. Would it be possible to post the names of some of the trails that you are on? I'm looking at the American series (i think that's the name) and would like to try some of those trails myself. Keep up the great filming! Llew
More ground clearance, so taller suspension and or bigger tires. It was manly my rear end dragging that was causing a problem because of the steep departure.

What is the answer to get the longer wheelbase up that incline. Is it taller tires, more horsepower or is it still the winch?
More ground clearance, so taller suspension and or bigger tires. It was manly my rear end dragging that was causing a problem because of the steep departure.

Yay!
If you would have seen/located the wreckage with the drone, would you have hiked to it?
No I didn’t have time
