    According to Sonos, adding the 300 to the arc, sub combo, does, in fact, turn it into a 7.1.4. Very much looking forward to this upgrade.

    Really looking forward to your take on Arc/Sub/ERA300 v Samsung 990b. For those of us with the Arc/Sub/Ones setup already, the cost of upgrading to 300s as rears will be about the same as jumping ship and getting the 990b, less potentially if you factor in selling the Sonos components.

    • @popaconstantin2090

    Interesting timing, since I’m testing the 900 and Arc soundbars to decide what I want in terms of a new surround system. I am doubtful Bose will come out with more compelling surrounds than what they have now, anytime soon, so I’m anxious to see how the 300s rank with reviewers (I’m sure you are a preorder, so I can’t wait for your review). From just the soundbar perspective, the Sonos is a much bigger sounding bar with great separation, but the 900 sounds cleaner (if there is such a thing) and seems to have better dialog. Maybe Bose and Sonos should have a baby. Bosos?

    Great video! I’ve been so excited about the era 300 release I’ve watched every video on YT. I have an unconventional set up I would really like your opinion on. 2x Sonos 1 SL’s right and left channels, not as rear channels. Two Sonos moves as rears when watching tv and a Gen 2sub all connected to my Apple TV. I shuffle the moves all around the house through the day but I ordered the Era so that I can finally play vinyl through my system and I want to either test it as a center channel speaker or a rear. The only slightly annoying thing is having to group the moves depending on which room I’m in but honestly you get used to it. Ah I also use a beam Gen 1 in a small bedroom connected to the tv. I really just have a better soundstage with the two SLs compared to the beam Gen 1. It’s a big living room.

    • @neverenoughtech
      @neverenoughtech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure what the question is but I like the creativity. True you can group/not pair other speakers to play with soundstage. I put two old play bars on top of the cabinets to help fill out sound in my big living room kitchen combo … in addition to an arc system… don’t love it for video but nice for music

    • @neverenoughtech
      @neverenoughtech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      300s - the fives are halfway through their life and more expensive … better suited to dedicated listening - the 300 may be more lively - the direction I’d go.

    • @mrgold3591
      @mrgold3591 ปีที่แล้ว

      My 3 car garage can get very dusty. I would lean toward 2-4 symfonisk bookshelf or 2-4 Sonos Ones to mount up high in the corners. Even the Sonos Move is a good choice if you need bluetooth and take your music on the go (around the yard, house, or in the park).

    I'm not sure if anyone can answer, but with this having a line in, how if possible, would I be able to connect two of these to my computer? I assume if I want bass I'd have to purchase their sub mini or their bigger alternative. See I can't seem to get it right with powered bookshleves + a sub...I like the suddle bass notes in anything I'm listening to, and I just can't set it correctly on what I have, hence the reason I'd like to get something like this since I own their ARC and Sub gen3, and it gives me what I'm looking for as far as bass at low listening levels. My current setup is a pair of Klipsch the Fives and a RSL Speedwoofer v2, but I have to raise the volume for the sub to kick in, and when it does it's too loud, but if I lower it I just don't get the nice bass notes at all.

    • @neverenoughtech
      @neverenoughtech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can setup a 300 stereo pair and add a sub in the Sonos app. Then use computer line in and the audio will run through all the components. My only unknown is if the delay would be acceptable. May want to let other sound off with the product before spending too much.

      If you plan on keeping for 5-10 years - Sonos otherwise dragon. I have tons of Sonos products ~40 components so read into that what you will. I think at the very least with the dragon let the reviewers and early buyers figure out if there is a fatal flaw

    • @neverenoughtech

    • @Diverball1
      @Diverball1 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had this discussion on Reddit a few days ago. In theory, it should be possible. If a single speaker can play spatial music, then it would need to be capable of handling four channels; left, right, spatial left and spatial right; which should be sufficient for surround. However, by the same argument, it ought to be possible to use an Arc as a rear speaker setup. Just because it’s technologically possible doesn’t mean Sonos supports it.
