Good idea - I agree - an errant twist of the wrench or socket putting lateral forces against it or just it rusted enough to twist that 'tube' will break it - so now solid it is exponentially more resistant to twist shear
What did you put in them?
@@craigers4200 I ended up using brake shoe retaining pins and pounding them in, a nail or round piece of metal that fits tightly will also work
