2024: A year in review! Plans for 2025, and adding more content!
It's been a good year at T.N.T Garage & Performance, let's take a look back at 2024!
The Checker Marathon gasser project has come an incredibly long way from being an absolute basket case to an almost completed hot rod, did some upgrades to the Challenger to go on my very first Hot Rod Power Tour and put a lot of work into Brute Farce to get it to be a reliable daily/tow rig.
Here's to 2025 and continued growth of the channel, thanks to all of you!

LS does have 6 bolt mains yes. I used a 4 bolt main with a steel not cast crank arp fasteners and had zero issues with bottom end. This new crate has a stronger bottom end than that did. I'm not worried about it in the least.

And the 355 on the dyno was just short of 750HP. A tad too much. HAHA. 400-550 hp is TONS of power for a brick.

I gotta agree. I only build sbc not LS. I have an LS in my NEW truck. GREAT engine with a 10 speed. HOWEVER..............I am building a 1975 3/4 ton Chevy square body, with 4x4, SM465, NP-205 and 14 bolt corporate full float diff. How about this..........427 BLUEPRINT/DYNO engine SMALL BLOCK CHEVY. Roller everything. Forged everything. And a warranty. That's just me. Put whatever ya want in yer truck. I'm going this route. 427 - 540 HP on the dyno sheet. 800 CFM AVS electric choke for a carb. Vacuum can for the brakes. Yes, the cam is that wild (low vacuum). Tons of torque for a heavy old brick. I'll put it against any LS, any day. I don't do electronics. No sniper, nothing. Never have had to. Different strokes for different folks. Just have fun. My last build was an old school 350, 30over 355CID with a 671 blower on it. In a square body brick. Quite the ride. That one I built ground up. This time, it's a crate drop in. Gotta spend more time on the rusty body and replace all that metal.

Your number are close in the pricing. SBC/BBC are only cool to the guys 55-60 and older. I have both sitting in the garage 6.0 LS, I have 283 and a 350. New projects I recently bought are setup for SBC only reason I have them SBC. My race car has a 610 HP 6.0 LS in it.

The only International truck worth anything is the older ones…..and than only because they are cheap…..cheap for a reason. Their engines are absolutely junk. Their version of the emissions system is by far the biggest disaster ever built. Point is if you buy one, you own it. Can’t give the stupid things away. Now, the Cummins engine is better……not much……..

I bought an LS gen 4 5.3 to put in my 57 chev that has no motor. Then I recently bought an 84 c1500 with a 327 swapped into it. Now I'm going to put the LS into the truck and the 327 into the 57. I was told the 327 came from a 69 nova or something, and I only really wanted the LS for the EFI and it being a daily.

There is a video online it's a 350 versus a 5-3 and this old-timer guy was going to pick the motor that was going to suit his needs but he wanted a motor that wanted to make more power so the shop did a comparison on cams lifters and springs on a stock bottom end just refurbishing bearings and everything else and believe it or not the old school 350 made more power and more torque than the five three with the same specs so for all these guys that think they know everything about LS motors about making badass power is wrong Old school is still going to beat new school no matter what you do and yes if you spend money on your top end you will make better power it's not all about the bottom end bottom end is just going to get you torque and if you don't have anything on the top end the make what you want you ain't going nowhere but this guy is telling the truth everybody thinks that LS motor is cheap the build they're really not

@joestalter5999 I haven't gotten just the tractor weight, but our tanks weigh anywhere from 10,500 to 11,000 lbs, which would put my tractor at 21,500 ish. That's with a Herd bumper and Green APU.. The tractor weight on the sticker in the truck is below 20k. The Cummins itself adds 800lbs over the A26 or S13, so there's plenty of options to get under 20k full of fuel and supplies

Runs like a champ, looks better and more inconspicuous than an LS, and i didn’t have to do any crazy frame cutting and expensive swap kits.

This is freaking hilarious and so true. I’ve got my old truck that I have fully rebuilt except the new engine and I’m going with a 383 and all my friends are freaking the crap out saying I need to throw an LS in it and I’ve made the argument you gotta buy all the crap to make it work right the wiring the controllers Everything if you don’t have a donor vehicle you’re kind of screwed. I can slap a 383 together for $2000 and put an Edelbrock EFI system on it altogether costing me around 3500. Maybe a little bit more and it blows all my friends minds
