An MTA bus that crashed into a Brooklyn brownstone Monday and had been lodged inside the building since was finally moved Friday. CBS2's Jenna DeAngelis reports.
@@jimbo1733 they never release video of an accident like this especially b4 an investigation. Why they doing it now?? Pulled the bus out of the house and left it in the street for people to take pictures and selfies like it's a tourist attraction
That still doesn’t answer why New York State and MTA doesn’t give transportation workers hazard pay during the pandemic. Even with social distancing people are still exposed and getting sick.
People get so distracted easily. How come no one is talking about the last bus crash in the Bronx, last January when the bus went over the bridge. MTA never released a video. What happened???
Several buses in the Bronx need repair I have video evidence. MTA was cutting corners due to Covid. The Bronx situation back fired because MTA couldnt falsely blame the driver for Maitenance flaws. Now most of the buses in the Bronx that needed repairs are being repaired after people spoke out.
Accident happen, no one and no thing is perfect. The driver’s history of driving must be seriously considered before jumping to baseless conclusions. Give the man the benefit of doubt
You know this is familiar this nearly identical situation happened a few months earlier when the bus fell over the bridge both bus drivers are veterans and said nearly the same thing, they couldn't slow the bus down and that it just accelerated. So either MTA is lying to cover there ass about those specific bus models malfunctioning or both men are lying. My money is on the MTA lying.
Both buses involved in these incidents were New Flyer Xcelsior buses. This particular model (Xcelsior) is about the most popular transit bus in the country, and it’s in use all over the USA and even Canada. No Xcelsior buses anywhere else have ever had problems like this, so it sounds like the MTA is not doing so great with the maintenance.

No, first thing to do would’ve been to pull the emergency brake. If your going downhill and have little to no steering and speed control of your vehicle and all you have left is the key and the emergency brake (per say the regular brake wasn’t working or malfunctioned) you wouldn’t turn the key since that unlocks the wheels and thrusters from the gas petal, making it fly faster down the slope and possibly taking out someone’s life by barreling into traffic and/or killing a pedestrian walking across the street. You’d have a better chance of saving your life if you use the emergency brake.
