    They should keep him!! 😭 These are the type of operators we need. We need people to show resilience and leadership like this. He didn’t just stand there he risked his bones for that.

      Although you are right to a certain extent, I wouldn't risk my life like that sorry. You can see the bus shaking when it hit him. Better let it collide with a wall or a car rather then get squeezed like he did. Accidents like this happen because he was not used to pull handbrake on bus stops every time, and then this happens cuz doors have Halt Brake switch. As soon the door is closed or the current from the battery is switched off the bus starts rolling .

    He shuts off the bus from the outside, the bus was being held with the doors interlock

    Those buses have two ways of securing the bus, the doors interlock and the yellow parking brake as any commercial vehicle with air brakes, the driver did not engage the parking brake , he just uses the interlock so when he went to the driver side took off the door interlock which was the only thing preventing the bus from rolling, that was his mistake

    • @lamar07103
      @lamar07103 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The interlock is a safety feature NOT a way to secure your vehicle.

      Once the bus shuts off the interlock is off no matter if you had it engaged .

    Orion 7 next gen hybrids weigh about 12 and a half tons. That's not like trying to stop your car from rolling back

    1:50 that makes no sense she thought the bus was in neutral the bus was in neutral she thought the bus was parted if the bus wasn't in neutral the bus wouldn't have gone backwards be driving backwards on it's own

    Also, the Orion VII's are crap, all the operators ground this units due to failures like this, like the 1980 Grumman Flxible 870 the infamous A Frame complaint. I think literally is the ghost of the 870 bad reputaton again. More of a 1000 units grounded, the failure is with the 6v71TA engine units, but never occured with the 8v71 units

    • @843Reboot
      @843Reboot ปีที่แล้ว

      lol this isnt a failure. the bus was being held by the door interlock, he shut the bus off from the outside and the bitch rolled off cuz it had no breaks applied.
