    S&W need to make an “all metal” line all the way down to the compacts in 3.6 and 4 inch. 🔥🔥🔥

      im waiting for this to happen. i really dont understand why they arnt pushing these hard cause the market is EXTREMELY hot right now for 3.6-4 inch pistols.

    The Calculated Kinetics Dog Tag optic plate fixes the carbon build up issue immensely.

    • @MagDumpGuns
      @MagDumpGuns  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I wanted to buy one but they were out of stock at the time. I have since switched to the SRO on this pistol but haven’t shot it yet. I’m hoping that overhang on the SRO will help out with the carbon issue.

    Kind of optic specific on the carbon issue. I have multiple M&P pistols, the 2 that I shoot the most is 4" compact and a full size spec series, both have Holosun 509T optics on C&H Precision adapter plates. Those optics sit further back on the slide than your optic (approx. 3/16"), I don't get any carbon on optic glass.
    I thought about trying an Apex trigger, never shot with one. But did install a Timney trigger in the full size pistol, little light for a duty pistol but man is it awesome for range or competitive shooting. I have not shot the metal M&P yet, a friend just purchased one but no range trip yet, I am looking at the new Spec Series metal with comp.

    • @MagDumpGuns
      @MagDumpGuns  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I had a 508t mounted on my polymer 2.0 and I had the same issue with the carbon, albeit not as severe. That comped version looks like it would be a sweet shooter for sure!

    • @chrism2042
      @chrism2042 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MagDumpGuns - Several others sit forward against the slide cut like an RMR. The 509T on C&H plate sits 3/16" back from slide cut, guess that's just enough to not have the carbon issue.

    That gun is badass. I just bought an M&P CORE 4" and I got an Apex trigger on the way. I put a Votatu dot on it, and that's my first optic. I'm trying to get used to it and the M&P trigger.

    Love the M&P line, I have the 1st gen still and a couple 2.0's. I think Smith & Wesson messed up with these metal frame 2.0's. They should be around 40 oz Total weight and should've came with a Apext trigger from the box.

    • @MagDumpGuns
      @MagDumpGuns  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That would be a cool option for a top of the line competition focused pistol, but I feel like they have something special here with the aluminum frame as a duty or defensive handgun that will be carried for extended periods of time.

    • @MagDumpGuns
      @MagDumpGuns  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The ACRO plate was aftermarket - FCD. I have since put a holosun 507 comp on it using the factory plate with no issues. My most recent M&P since this one actually came with a metal RMR plate from the factory so maybe they changed that.

  • @BezmenovDisciple

    Badass looking pistol but I wish they made a steel frame. Aluminum doesn’t add enough weight to make it that much different from the polymer I would think.

    Give it a year of use. Aluminum alloy dents fades and scratches very easy. Just look at any big revolver that is alloy or has the alloy barrel shroud. Looks like crap. Too much money. Trigger is no better than the poly.
