It's interesting to see other people's take or spin on a from scratch battery box . I did the EXACT same thing back in 2018 when first got my 94 EG hatch. I utilized the factory battery tray just like you. But welded mine instead. Used those ALL STAR quick connects on firewall to charge/ jump etc. Also on the tubular/removable rad support I made my own as well. You are the FABBING type too so you got it. Piece of advice though. You want to do a traction bar for sure if you dont already have one. To mount rad etc. The hardest part is the bends for the headlights. I did one and just mirrored it so it matched and was easier. A fair amount of work. But beats $6-700 for a PLM or others. Nice job BTW
Dang that’s awesome man! Thanks for the advise also I appreciate it, deff should be a decent project but like ya said will save me money in the long run so I can spend it on other car parts haha
Ive learned a lot from your build and am going to use the same fuel cell setup as you so thanks for that. Also, ideally the flex fuel sensor should be as close to the injectors as possible. Will that matter? No idea but i just know that is recommended by haltech at least.
Awesome glad to hear that! I’m not sure about the placement honestly I could see there being maybe a slight variance in the rail vs line maybe for temp but I don’t think it would matter that much but I only use the sensor for the content reading I don’t use it in my ecu cause when I’m on e85 it’s till the end of the season
Nice job bro 🔥
