    Why is it so satisfying to see a car that has been sitting so long being resurrected and driven home with a couple of days work? Love this type of content!

      My 1st car was a 73 Mach II. I saved $500, making $4.25 an hour at Publix & bought it. I wish I had a picture of it. Watching your video sure brought me back to 1996 when I was 16 & in that car. I could've used a good ol "carboroster" cleaning, too! Lol 😆 thanks for making a great video, sir.

    Right for you said I was thinking the same thing surprised at things that I'll smash and dent it up from cows rubbing on it. Because been there for a while the trees haven't been there forever but a little bit who knows they probably did help save it from the cows a little bit.

    Chad I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that's a 351 Cleveland in that car. If the radiator return hose bolts down to the top of the block, that's what it is. If it bolts into the front of the intake, it's a 302 or 351 Windsor.

    • @Mercmad
      @Mercmad 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The only way to tell the difference between a 351 C or 302 C is to look at the crank shaft. they will be marked either 302 or 351. Also, Clevo's have that box shape on each tappet cover. Windsors had the symmetrical tappet covers ,almost the same from the early 60's.

    • @BuzzLOLOL
      @BuzzLOLOL 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      302C is very rare and has narrower intake manifold... not likely one in here...
      Looks like desirable 351C !!! Hose goes down into block... 2 bbl. heads more desirable for street use...
      4 bbl. 351C heads had too large and horribly shaped ports...

    I love these abandoned car videos. This one is to the extreme. First of all because it's not a great year for Mustangs (2nd worst era imo), and secondly because this car is completely trashed. It barely even qualifies as a parts car. Once you cut those trees down and opened the doors I was like, forget it. This one is too far gone. When it wasn't seized and the starter worked...and then it RAN and I had to go change my shorts.

    The rocker nuts will loosen up over time and cause a lifter tap sometimes. If you pull the valve covers while it is running and loosen each individual nut till it starts tapping, then tighten it 3/4 of a turn or until it stops tapping, you can fix it sometimes. If it keeps tapping even when fully tightened you can get a slightly longer push rod to compensate and fix the problem. Nice car. That's the grande model. I have a 72 coupe with a 302.

    Wow! Things like this always amaze me. It just proves that the auto mobile industry is going backwards. An it's all about draining our wallets by building vehicles with built in failure to make sure you have to constantly spend money. Vehicles should be 10x more dependable than they were, not the other way around. But here we are. Great video!

    Much respect. I’ve had an old 73 coupe since I was 17. I bought another one a couple years ago for parts and ended up keeping it. It had been parked in a field for only 3 years. Had to cut the drum off the back brake it was so seized up. Looking forward to getting it running soon.
