What an INCREDIBLE transformation this Mustang made!! Hopefully the owner will have it roaring back to life someday soon!
Stay tuned, next week’s video has a HUGE announcement!! 😎
Oh man, "A huge announcement". I hope that means some kind of new business expansion or franchising or something as exciting as your new home is finally finished? The possibilities are endless. 💜 Mike is moving out? ☕
I bet the owner is thrilled to see how to compare before and After excellent transformation and bring it back to life. 👏👏👏😊❤
New announcements ahead of 2024 for T-shirts and the addition of new products?🤔 Can't wait to see it. 😊

pls full renovation video! Beautiful transformation.
would love to see a full collab series with u and somebody where the vehicle goes from barn to u to mechanics, to body shop, back to you for final detail then to showroom. just to see a full on resto from barn to showroom/ cruising
That would be super cool!
This
Would be EPIC!!!
I had a 68 Mustang, and I LOVED that car. Quarter panels were rusted through, and the paint was bad, but just loved it! Nice job on cleaning the old girl upà
that will be amazing ...
Goonzquad is the answer!!! Tell them I sent ya
Please do follow up videos on cars that will be getting fully restored so we can see the finished results 👍
Hopefully!
Hear hear!
Gosh, Mitch, this one takes me BACK. I am gonna go on for a minute or two, my apologies to those who dont like long posts. My dad had a 1969 Mustang Grande, very much like this one. The "Grande" package was "meant" to be a "luxury version" of the Mustang, but, at least in 69, was the version people said "hell, no, I want the Mach one!" to. My dad's was actually bought used, he got it from a young man who had just come home from Vietnam, and "thought" he wanted a car, (until he had one!). The car was with the vynil roof, just like that one. My dad's car had a 390, which was a HECK of a lot of motor for that Mustang, and it sure gave the car the ability to get up and go. The car started out as my dad's pride and joy, and I recall some guy in a Camaro wanting to race my dad, but, dad wouldn't, cuz my sister and I were in the car. (speaking of which, that carpet? I recall that carpet VIVIDLY. Mitch, that was so long ago, I was able to kneel down in the back, ON that carpet between the front and rear seats. (I know, it IS a small space. I can also tell you there were two bolts on that tunnel holding the drivetrain in place, and they would warm up significantly. That Mustang may have had the leather added to the doors and dash, I don't know. I also did not see the clock (broken) on the glove box. As I said, that was my dad's pride and joy, and then, it became "the work car", and then it became the only car, and then, it became the broken down car in the garage. When I turned 16, I was given the car. My dad told me the only caveat was, no racing if I could get it running. I never could. Like that car, the steel used back then was pretty crappy, your man is going to be in for a huge challenge to get it back in good order. One my car, the frame cracked, and was rotted so badly, it was not worth fixing. We were going to have it towed away, for twenty five bucks, as scrap, until my dad told the guy that there was a 390 in it. He gave us 500 bucks (in 1984). I have always thought I wanted to get another Grande, and restore it, but, it's just not worth it. Truth be told, I don't miss the car, it just reminds me of my dad. He passed away in 1986.
Don't worry dude, I have a tendency to rave on a bit myself. Relaying fond memories are not long but interesting. Especially for us older fellows who have memories going back many years.🥸
Flashback to 1974 my senior year in HS, i had green 69 with a blk vinyl roof & Mustang alum mags, that was a sweet car, i wish i had it back.
This beautifully expressed sir i could live that memory through it.
It would be great if you could ask the owner to forward some pictures of this car once the restoration is complete 👍👍
Definitely will!
I love seeing these old classics’ shine brought back 👌🏼
I love it when you detail a classic. You have given the owner a large start on the restoration,
I will never understand how someone can leave a car in a barn for 20 YEARS. Like what?
Im that kind of person, out of sight, out of mind. But id at least put a car cover on it
And the tyres havent gone flat or perished.. amazing...
Life happens, ive just finished a 65 gto frame off restoration that took me 5 years, ive owned the car since 1989.
Omfg ik I just gave my dad shit about putting his challenger up cuz he said " I don't want to put more miles on it " so I told him If he does that it's the nursing home for him lol
@@callendempsterjr3069Damn, my granddad did the same thing with his Camaro. The old owner of the car didn’t drive it much and kept the miles as low as possible. For some reason my granddad felt the need to do the same lol. Ended up selling it for a Suzuki that was handed down to me. Good car, but it’s definitely not a fucking Camaro. 😭
Love seeing any car restored and brought back to life but especially a mustang. Good work Mitch! 🥰
Love the older cars brought back to life. Maybe keep a large piece of cardboard or foam or something to cover the drain pit when needed?
That's a good suggestion! Clever Shannon! 🎉
@@joelbuchanan471 Thanks, Joel. I've been in similar situations and regretted not preparing. Ooh! A plastic chair mat would work. Hard floor chair mat (no nubs) by day, stealthy drain cover when needed.
@shannon1656, Good to see you. That's great tips! 😊
Probably a good idea 😄
@@cynthiahopkins7090 Thanks, Cynthia. Age and experience, as several saying go . . .
Maybe in the future you can get a drain pit size rug or carpet piece for the rare occasions when you have to remove those bottom of car bolts.
Good idea 😄
I had the same idea when I saw that.
He could even use a piece of cardboard to cover the drain.
@@Joe-ew5rt cardboard will breakdown quickly. Carpet especially synthetic stuff will hold up better. The cardboard could also hold some fluid especially after saturated with oil.
@@TheDetailGeek Actually, what about a piece of window screen on a frame?
I just love the way these old Mustangs look! The bodies are just so appealing to me. I can't imagine being able to say, "Oh yeah, I've owned it since I was TEN." How cool!
I had a 69 Mustang....and I loved it. This brought back so many memories of when my husband and I met in 1986...thank you for sharing
I never think you can get better, but then you prove me wrong, thank you 👏
Appreciate it!
@thedetailgeek thank you for the awesome work! Can’t wait to get this baby back on the road.
Hey, Brendon!! Do you think you'll team with Mitch for an update after the full restoration?
I love these restoration of these old classic cars they deserve a 2nd life! ❤️
I wish that you would show more when you clean the engine/motor area. That's so satisfying especially when one is so muddy or caked on. Thanks for doing it on this one.
Love this channel. Last week I spent my weekend cleaning out my father’s 2006 F-150 and 2008 300. The amount of nicotine stains that were in the F-150 was beyond disgusting. Use of a drill brush and interior cleaner worked wonders. The 300 seemed to just be a big ashtray and dog hair. I bought this little car shop vac by ArmorAll and it’s amazing. Loads of attachments and 3 extensions.
I like watching all your videos. I have started a small detailing business of my own and alot of what I have learned is from watching your videos. Appreciate all the tips and tricks you have shown me and others over the years. Keep up the fantastic work.
Classics combined with your work never disappoint. Have you ever detailed a vehicle that belongs to a subscriber?
Yep, many times!
Wow! What a difference! Love the interior.... would be proud to show off this little gem!!
For 20+ years, that carpet looks factory clean. Amazing job man.
The 1969 Mustang refreshed an incredible new brand and brought restoration from an abandoned barn for 20 years. It's worth it and looking so beautiful classical car. Mitch, I am grateful for sharing the video. Have an awesome weekend! 👍😊❤️
Hey Cynthia, so glad you're here. That was a dramatic clean up. Have a great weekend! 🎉
Thanks Cynthia, you too!
You sir, are a gentleman of your craft. Great job!!! Love from Charlotte NC
Mighty, master Mitch! I knew that you would make this Mustang look magnificent again! Have a blessed weekend!
YASSSSS!!!
THIS MUSTANG IS GLORIOUS!!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE SEEING THE ENGINE ❤❤❤❤❤
This detail got me in the feels.
Brought up good memories
i just clicked on this vid since it popped up (thanks algorithm) and found out that my cat loved watching the cleaning part. she follows the suds and would try to “catch” them. she loves it when you use the brush - she’ll try to catch that too 😆 guess i’ll have to watch more detailing vids now
I like watching your videos especially if it’s old cars thanks for sharing The detail deek
This is sweet seeing an old mustang getting restored.
Awesome job Mitch
Have you ever done a full how to video of your process for a detail? My truck is nearing 7 years old now and was thinking of trying. Of course I could just follow one of your vids but just wondering. Love the process my man, fun to watch!
Love this kind off detailing my favorites ,I my self have a Chevrolet Nova hatchback 1975 with his original colour blue . a cardboard box under the car so the bolts do not fall in the drain .Amazing job !!
I don’t understand why you wouldn’t put a cover on a car that is being stored. If you value the car enough to keep, why not protect it even if it is only an old tarp.
Covers tend to trap moisture and promote rust and rot if left on for years.
Amazing job on the Mustang. You can see the passion you have for detailing cars. Keep up the amazing and great job.
Enjoyed watching this one today 👍 all the way from
New Zealand 🙌 You never fail to impress me with your detailing, so awesome 🤩
I hope the owner didn’t park it back in the barn afterwards 🤦♀️ What an awesome treasure!! ❤️
Great job!! When I was a teen these cars were the stuff dreams were made of and it took me right back to the wonder and awe. Hey, I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who’d love to see this car again when she’s fully restored, if only a couple shots at the end of another video.
Another great transformation, Mitch! That Mustang will look amazing when the body work is done...when it's back on the road, I'm sure you'll be proud to know that you had a part in restoring it!!
I’m a fan of your channel. These barn find cleanups are my fav. But classic Mustangs have a special place in my ❤.
For those of us that do our own vehicles, do you have any tips or tricks? My son and I wash our vehicles together. His is a mini cooper and mine is a 4x4 Ram. He gets the parts I can’t reach, short mom probs, tall son solutions. Gravel roads, sun and mud take a toll. We use a pressure washer already, but any additional ideas are helpful. Thanks. Love the transformations!!
Sitting here, watching you work on an old classic, shaking my head at all the mouse crud you removed from the inside. Especially the fur nest. Loved what the carpet looked like after you finished shampooing the carpet. Looked really good. What a beautiful result. I really hope he enjoys driving the girl once she is finished. Well done.
Great video! And thanks for showing the seatbelt detail. I always wondered how you clean them 😊
Thanks for watching!
What an incredible transformation! Thanks for doing the paint! That really made the difference stand out!
Man the difference it wouldve made had he stored it with a tarp. Great job as usual 👏👏
What an absolutely beautiful shape/design that car is..Particularly the front end, totally unique and unbeatable IMHO..Thank you for posting..Look forward to 'Part 2'. UK
Great video. I love to see these barn find transformations. Thank you.
Loved the little critter hand prints sliding up and down the windows haha. Beautiful job looking after this very fragile car, would love a follow up when the owner has it restored!
I was so excited to see this one! My dad had this year model in red when I was 4 years old. I LOVE this year model! Good job 👍🏻
Great job. I’d like to see more of this content with you detailing and a body guy and painter and a good mechanic. From beginning to end!
I love that you do all the work to shine the paint, even knowing that it's just going to be painted. True pride in your work!
WOW, this Mustang was revived!!!
As Always Amazing!!!❤❤❤❤
superrr early but for a good cause, sweet mustang! can’t wait to see how it turns out!
My neighbor growing up had a 69 mustang just like this one. This is the car that made me fall in love with mustangs particularly the 69 which is my dream car
Omg Mitch loving the classic ones and what a marvellous transformation great workmanship 👍😎
Mitch could literally polish a turd. Great work! 👍
Thanks! 😄
We need more Yard Geek too! 😊
Hi, I'm British but I love the old American cars, espessialy the 50s to 70s. I find your video's to be very theraputic and relaxing. I've been looking up some of the music you use, great stuff, keep it up, I wish you well.
I was feeling cold today in the UK, until I saw this Mustang being driven in on the trailer.
Quesion I have always wanted to ask, is how many cloths do you use on a detail, last weeks truck was a lot bigger, but you must have cloths for all different places you are cleaning, then how do you best clean those cloths? Quick cold wash or longer hot wash in the washing machine?
Nice. Polishing! I would like to see more paint correction. You definitely helped this old beater look a lot better.
It was ROUGH, but looks decent now 🤣
Hey Mitch! Just want to tell you that we will like the shots that you have no matter what method you use. You don’t need to do the car a different way just for footage. Do it how ever you think it will work best and clean best.
Man I love your content my Canadian brotha. Glad to see you doing more barn find type stuff.
Wow! Great job. Would love to see this after its fully restored. I love Mustangs!
Great job on this classic!! I felt like I could jump in it and drive away, as good as you got it looking. 🙂
Great work. New to your channel, will check that playlist you mentioned and binge all videos. Always had a soft spot for American Muscle, and will turn my head when i see one on the road. When it's time to recycle the old Volvo, I'm probably going with a Mustang. Greetings from Sweden.
These before/after shots😍 i love it😁
That before and after of the interior went crazy man. Great work
Mitch has done it again 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Crazy what a good detail can do. And the interior looks amazing
As always amazing job Mitch! She’s a beauty!
I enjoy watching this video 😮, thank you for sharing with us, 😊
Brought tears to my eyes to see that beautiful baby come back to life!
A beautiful car. Nice work on the clean-up as I'm sure it makes it easier and safer to work on..
Such a satisfying video! She's a beauty 😍 much needed tlc
Absolutely love your work brother and Absolutely a beautiful car love the 69s can't wait to see this beauty fully redone keep up the amazing work
I'm a Chevy guy, but a muscle car enthusiast all together. This is so friggin cool man, Love you, Mitch
Morning Mitch, excellent job! Salute!
Thank you!
Mitch what a amazing great job on the detail of this Mustang
Thank you!
Great transformation like always! I hope the owner fully restores it! Maybe a short follow up video down the road if he does 🤔🤔🤔
Would be amazing to get an update on the finished product😁
Looked like my 70 when I got it, seeing it so cleaned up gives so much hope when restoring!
Incredible work. I suppose my biggest concern is the state of the floor under the carpeting on the inside (where it looked particularly rusty) as to how deep the rust went. I could never leave an abandoned vehicle on my property, for vermin (and eyesore) reasons.
These are the ones I enjoy the most , excellent job
Thank you!
I just got a LHR15III Rupes. Do you have any videos with tips on cutting / polishing?
You inspire me and others.
Excellent video Mitch!!
Thanks!!
This is going to be a fun one have a great weekend Mitch!😊
Hey! love your videos, i am car enthusiast and i was thinking about starting doing detailing in my village / small city, bought some products like APC, some brushes, glass cleaner etc. I was wondering how much time does it take you to clean whole car, of course recording whole process is time consuming but lets say without recording it how much time should it take to was exterior and interior. Greetings from Poland!
I love the classic details, too bad the one big rust spot is still there but what do you expect for a car that old. Great job and enjoy your weekend!
Thanks, you too!!
Botdog614, Have a great weekend! Take care😊
@@cynthiahopkins7090 you as well!
@@TheDetailGeek thank you Mitch
Good morning Botdog. Have a wonderful weekend! ☕
Wow beautiful car you really did a great job making the car shine again
Thank you!
My favorite car detail guy,. awesome work and person.,Fort Worth Texas.
The exterior was as good as it can get until the body shop does their thing but the interior looked amazing! Nice work 🤙
Thanks! 👍
Love these saving grace details! Why not have a lift installed so you can easily access the bottom portion of the cars?
I've been binge watching your videos. I really hope you dont fall into depression from how many nasty things you clean in most cars. You inspire me to keep mycar clean.
Super Video Thank you Happy Weekend for you Good Job Happy 😚🥰😍🤟👌👍
Fantastic work!
I world like to see the car rewealled again. Where canI find some videos about the final restoration?
Awesome job on the mustang looks great just like new
Had a cream color one. Wow , such a beautiful transformation. Nice work
Great job, the interior came out fantastic. 69/70 is my favorite body style of this era Mustang.
I've always loved this car ... fantastic work !

I love the barn find details, but my favorite is your dad's beautiful truck
