Thank you so much Alex! Everything you said was spot on and this video hits home! This will be my first time selling motorcycles (my favorite brand Ducati) and I am nervous. I really like the last part where you said that we need to care. I feel like motorcycles are WAY more than just a mode of transportation. It's therapy, a lifestyle and most importantly fun! Any tips in particular when selling Ducatis? Thanks again!
I care about whom I sell my bike to. I want my passion for the ride to be mirrored to the buyer. I want to see the excitement on their face as I had when I rode it for the first and the thousandth time thereafter, the thrill of a lifetime!!! I want to be fair and honest above all and make that person feel confident in their decision. I want my beautiful Street Glide to go to someone that will love what this bike can do for them, the freedom for adventure! You have inspired me on how to sell, thank you!
I love motorcycles when I was 5. My mom pulled me down and said it is dangerous. Since then I was stuck with the passion of riding and knowing more about motorcycles. Yes, it is a passion and care for others feelings and for sure people feel your passion and feel your concerns and caring. I have been in service industry for a very long time and totally agree what you said, passion turns into a life time friendship and success.
Talk to the guys at Ultra Motor Source in Hortonville, Wisconsin. They misrepresented the condition (LIE) about damages and condition to an out of state buyer who paid $7,500. Cash. Then said the sale w final before delivery and inspection. They should have included a Wisconsin Badger "Fuk Em Buckey" sweat shirt. Because that is how they do business to out of state buyers. Never buy from them sight unseen and inspected in-person.
I love motorcycles. My favorite place to visit is a motorcycle shop/dealer. I am 49 now and just started ridding again after 20 years away. As a 20+ year career as a auto damage appraiser. I have never sold anything. I meet all the requirementa you spoke about in this video. I am wondering if I can make a living selling motorcycles??
If you are willing to learn the product and have the passion I think it's totally possible. I have known people selling motorcycles well into their late 60's and early 70's successfully, so why not!
Thank you for the video. I have a talked with an accountant and I am going to sell motorcycles as a private seller BUT here in California I can just sell 5 bikes/titles per year?!!! PLEASE let me know how I can do what you are doing as a private seller. THANK YOU.
Hey Alex, stumbled across your channel and liked the vids! I’m brand new to bikes, had a dirt bike when I was 14...but that was about it. My father had owned Harley’s almost his entire life and now have the bug to get into the business. There is a local Harley dealer looking for some sales people. I’ve been in sales for about 4 years and wanted to know your thoughts about getting in there, getting my bike license , and starting to sell. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!
If someone came and said he wants the 1000 but is new? Personally as a rider, it’s too much power for a beginner but that’s what he wants. Do I talk him out of it “right thing” or let him get it and pray for the dude…
Let’s say I wanted to sell my Bike to a friend, what would I do with regards to registration etc? Would he have to get the vehicle registered, pick it up, and put his plate (or temp plate) for him to drive off with it? That’s the confusing part to me. In my head, it’s Step one: start Selling the bike Step two: get the money Step three: ____________ Not sure what other steps I’m required to do after that, I know I should take my Plate off, call my insurance and cancel it on the bike. Other than that, as someone just trying to sell his first vehicle ever, I got no clue.
