    About the Square Strike Wedge:
Why do you miss-hit so many chips while striking your putts so solidly?
The answer came quickly: Because the putter is purpose-built to match the putting stroke, while the clubs used for chipping are made for other tasks - like full shots, high lobs and blasting out of bunkers.
    Makes sense, doesn’t it?
Think about your putter: It’s comfortably short, with an upright lie angle that puts you almost directly over the ball and promotes a straight-back, straight-through stroke. There’s minimal arc on the takeaway or follow-through, and the clubhead barely leaves the ground.
    Less movement equals more control.
raditional Wedge vs. the all-new Square Strike Wedge. With the Square Strike Wedge, there's minimal arc on the takeaway or follow-through, and the clubhead barely leaves the ground, giving you more control and consistent contact.
It’s also balanced for minimal face rotation, so there’s no dramatic opening and closing of the blade, while the head is weighted to engage the big muscles (arms and shoulders) and impede the small ones (hands and wrists).
Bottom line - the putter is a perfect match for the putting stroke.
Now contrast that with your chipping clubs, the wedges and short irons.
They’re a little longer and lie substantially flatter than the putter, moving you farther from the ball. That forces you to swing on more of an arc, while the relatively light clubhead invites excessive wrist action.
Together, these factors increase the odds of something going wrong.
And when it does, your club’s slender sole and sharp leading edge won’t do a thing to help. Hit behind the ball and the club will dig; catch a fluffy lie and it will snag.
Consider this, too: You putt with the same club, from the same lie, using the same stroke every time, eliminating the variables that make chipping so tricky (and your confidence so shaky).
Once the design team had accounted for all these factors, their mission became crystal-clear:
It’s my pleasure to pronounce their mission accomplished.
1.NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO HIT FAT: The Square Strike Wedge pitching wedge has an extra-wide sole and beveled leading edge prevent digging; No more chunked pitch and chip shots reduces wasted strokes; Heavy, solid feel promotes greater confidence vs thin-faced wedges that dig and rotate; Less rotation with the Square Strike Wedge golf wedge for men and women makes clean contact easier and much more consistent.
2.EASIER SWING MOTION VS TRADITIONAL WEDGE; The square strike wedge golf club for men and women has a putter-like length, 35.5 inches, and putter-like lie angle, 68 degrees, plus anti-rotational weighting make it easy to swing and control; No opening your stance or the clubface; Use a simple straight-back-straight-through, putter-like stroke for greater control and much more accuracy; Use this chipping wedge to chip it close from a variety of lies, Perfect for bump and runs
3.MORE EFFECTIVE THAN CHIPPING WITH YOUR 7-IRON; The Shorter length of this golf wedge for men and women makes it easier to control, no gripping down; Our golf wedge for men and women Heavier club head, 330 grams, glides smoothly through the turf and minimizes overactive hands and wrists, a leading cause of fat and thin chip shots; Extra weight moved to the toe keeps club square vs rotating through impact; More loft than a 7-or 8-iron for wider variety of shots, not just low runners
4.LEGAL FOR TOURNAMENT PLAY; The square strike wedge golf clubs for men and women conforms to the rules of golf; Give yourself and edge without breaking any rules with this chipping and pitching wedge.
5.1-YEAR MANUFACTURER WARRANTY AGAINST DEFECTS; The Square strike wedge chipping wedge has a high-quality construction backed by unbeatable warranty.

I’ve heard nothing but great reviews on the square strike. The best thing is that it’s sorta chunk proof. Haven’t tried it but I’d like too. Great video

I just picked up the Square Strike yesterday. Haven't practiced with it much yet, obviously but I did hit about 3 moderate length chips with it during my round and I can say it probably saved me anywhere from 3-5 shots. The chipping areas on the courses around here re still very difficult with very tight lies and it is so easy to catch them thin and shoot them across the greens and off the other side, but the 3 shots I hit all got me inside 3 feet for easy up and downs. today, I hit a few shots in my yard and I can tell you that it does NOT totally eliminate chunk shots. You have to swing it properly. If you have too much shaft lean, it can dig in just like any other wedge. The key is to set up and swing just like you would a putter with little to no shaft lean. Once you get used to that, it works like a champ.

The key for effective use of this club is to use a pendulum swing - you use a pendulum swing when you put. No wrist action in a pendulum swing. The manufacture of this club says it is not designed to replace a wedge. The Square Strike Wedge is meant to be used for chip and run shots - low trajectory shots with lots of run. Lower trajectory shots should have a higher probability of being accurate because the run can be controlled with amount of force in the club -wedges are difficult to use because you must control the loft of the shot which to me seems more difficult than controlling the run. I am not a golf expert but what I have said just seems to make common sense.

  • @larrypilgrim12

I have used a 45 degree chipper. They work great in certain situations and are more consistently accurate when using the designed stroke, which is putting. I would not want one where I am including in to out, or out to in swings, which is what you are doing. They are designed for a straight back and straight forward motion. If I need to clear a height, don't have much green to work with, or are more than 40 feet out I wouldn't use it. 25 ft, in a little taller grass with green to work with? I know I would get closer to the hole 9-10 times more than chipping a lofted wedge. It is the best bump and run club out there. You don't have the YIPS in your bag if you have a chipper.

Is the side spin a measure of draw or fade? I have noted in previous video’s the side spin will show right but the ball is drawing? I am going to purchase the Mevo + and would like to understand how to interpret this value.

It did seem to chip/pitch ok. 55 is an odd loft for me. I tend to use my 58 the most (elevated greens are the norm in my area) with 46 & putter occasionally. For me the issue is versatility. I like to be able to hit a flop shot or a full swing with my wedge. I bet the square strike would struggle in those areas.

    • @GolfSimulatorVideos
      @GolfSimulatorVideos  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Mark Moon I don’t disagree I use my 58 around the green the most but I wanted to compare it to the closest club I had. I was surprised how well it performed not knowing anything about it and it looking so different
