    Many years ago I had a very bad virus and I pushed myself to continue singing as I was in a Karaoke competition, ever since then I haven't been able to sing as I am unable to go for a higher pitch, my voice just disapears :( I had litrally given up. I am not sure if this will help but will give it a go.

    If you can't sing a note quietly you can't sing that note, you can only yell it

      Not true actually. Many singers can’t sing the high notes in the chest voice quietly

    When I do the "MMEE" when my air runs out it's sounds like a turbine slowing down or something. Like it goes and stop for a millisecond and goes on. Mostly on the lower notes. Kinda hard to describe. Plus I feel air leaking. What could it be?

    • @manogyabishwakarma4107
      @manogyabishwakarma4107 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe it's the vocal cords vibrating slower for a while because of the minimum air we tend to put through the cords when we run out of air. Also, the cords might have become a little dry because of being exposed to air for a little more than usual.
      Just a thought.

    The ENT Dr diagnosed a Cyst on my vocal cord & said surgery is the only solution. Do you think the ME excercise will help? I am able to do it. Thanks

    Hello, I am Maria and I am 16 years old. I am in a high school choir and it is my favorite class and I love to sing. I am a soprano. I got sick shortly after thanksgiving (I think the day after) and it took my voice. I no longer am sick but I have noticed my throat on one side has become almost numb (and one side of my mouth/teeth hurt specifically the right side). I have also noticed that my neck on the right side is bigger than my left. It almost feels as if there is mucus/phlegm stuck in my throat and I constantly cough trying to clear it. My voice cracks left and right. If there is anyone in the comments that can help me please let me know what this might be.

    My voice keeps on breaking on certain parts I know there’s something I’m doing wrong

  • @adnap
    @adnap 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I’m not having any of these problems.
    My particular problem is that when I belt, using my chest voice, i’m getting unwanted grit.
    for example singing something like Breaking Benjamin when I get to the chorus and hit the G#, almost immediate grit under the vocal when it should be clean. It happened yesterday with She Talking to Angels.
    I’m concerned because this is new. I hope it’s just allergies. All of the videos i’ve watched on vocal damage diagnosis seem to use the false cords, and this isn’t my problem. I have no problems with false cord singing/head voice. It’s in the true vocal cords, when belting.
    Please help ?

    Maybe I missed it, but what are you meant to take away when you do encounter these trouble spots?
    For example, it actually got more difficult for me the higher I went. I had little breaks here and there but it wasn’t too bad. I also did the exercise you suggested going from quiet to loud and back again and struggled more with that one.
    However, I don’t know whether these indicate that I’m using improper technique with these notes, that they’re outside my range, that I have some vocal damage, that my voice is just fatigued currently, or that this breaking is just normal because of the natural limit you described.
    I guess I’m just asking myself ‘now what’ after doing these exercises if that makes sense. I don’t know the little distinctions that might make the conclusions different.
    Thank you for the great video!
