What I love about these demos is that they don't stuff around telling you what they are going to tell you; they feature great musicianship and tell you the settings, which is exactly what you want.
This pedal is killer! Every bit as good as the Diamond. It immediately gets a coveted spot on my board. But I probably use it a little differently than what you did in the video. I use it more of a tone shaper, never putting the compression above 11:00. No audible squish yet more compression than you think, and beautiful clean boosting. It sets up everything else on my board, and my tone has never been better!
I did use rather high comp levels. I go through some subtle ones in the walk through where the compression isn't as strong. I really liked it's squish so I overused it...
@Lewis Cannon, the Mooer pedals are clones of famous pedals. The blue one is based on the blue 'Boss Compressor Sustainer'. This ones probably their take on the diamond compressor (based on looks, optical compression and tone). Which one do you like more? Buy that one!
I have one and it's great. Ideal setup for me Strat -> MXR Micro Amp -> Yellow Comp -> Roger Mayer Wah -> Axis Fuzz -> Arion Chorus -> Analog Delay -> JTM45
I have the pedal, and I'm really happy with it it's like having an EQ, Compressor, and Booster in one SMALL pedal. The only thing that bugs me is that it's noisy at some point. But above all its 8/10 for me. Price and size wise. Sounds great. BTW Im using a Standard Strat.
The Diamond is possibly the best Comp I've ever heard, but it's 3x the size of this one, and to be honest, from this video, I can't really tell if there's any difference between the two. I own the Diamond, but I think I will soon own this one too. :-)
Enjoyed listening to the playing for sure....the altered scales over that jazz stuff and the nice voicings. One thing videos on compressors rarely seem to talk about is how fast the attack is. I realize on this one it isn't adjustable. I find that on my BOSS CS-3 the attack is too slow (even set all the way down), meaning that it doesn't squash the very first little spike of the transient, resulting in a clicky attack sound...I'm looking for something to clamp down immediately and make the notes really squishy. Hard to tell just by listening (without the "feel" of playing a compressor yourself) if this one can do it. Hoping I don't have to spend a ton on a Cali76 or something to get that fast attack time. Not easy to find pedals at stores anymore to try out in person...
I really don't think there is a better guitar player on youtube than Mike Hermans. Melodic, tasteful, versatile, effortless.

Nice, never hear any Björk in gear demos!
Dude, you have issues.. I love it...
Chef Allen ahaha yeah what the fuck kinda playing is this. Love it also
Very happy with this little powerhouse!
How is the Sustain?
That opening was inspired.
Army Of Me, awesome!
This cover of Bjork is epic !!!
This is an excellent subtle compressor.
And now he does Björk! Legend!
again, sick playing and great use of compression. nice balanced tone of pedal
Just got it for my acoustic..really nice and pop every note..😁👍🏻

Awesome arrangement of Army of Me at the beginning there!
That bjork arrangement really inspired me!
great playing and a great run through of the pedal!

are there any other pedals used in the lespaul part (3:36 to 4:34)
only the compressor is used?
it sounds great i wanna know it much thzzz
Got one of these bad boys on the way. Should complete my rig.
So how come when I buy all these Mooer pedals I can't play like this? WTF??
I have one and it's great. Ideal setup for me
Strat -> MXR Micro Amp -> Yellow Comp -> Roger Mayer Wah -> Axis Fuzz -> Arion Chorus -> Analog Delay -> JTM45
Why put the micro amp before the comp? I usualy put after the dist/drive section to boost solo.
@@jorgemartins1738 yes... that's how I do it now.
@@jorgemartins1738 Hi bro, you confused me... where is better the comp? before or after the Overdrive?

Hows the Sustain?
Mooer continue to suprise me.
Excellent Bjork!
Great demo. What's the name of the song after the Bjork arrangement? From 1.20

Hi, did you buy the Mooer one?
How well is the Mooer compared to the original Diamond?

That the song from suckerpunch at the beginning? wicked song
Diamond comp! Is that you?
Better the Yellow Comp or the Blue Comp? I need it for some funky rythm and some metal solos.. Thanks!
who is the genius playin'?
Mike hermans. Amazing guitar player
does it get choppy at the low end like a bad comp? i dont hear that. what do you think?
Can this pedal be used to create the gary moore sound?
What's the difference with the blue comp? Amazing video as usual!
What pickups in the Strat pls? I have the same guitar - looking for ages for p'ups that sound like that. Thx
What other pedals did you use in this demo?
is it noisy? more/less than a regular boss/mxr comp?
Is the pedal good for bass slapping?
haha bjork thats awesome
cool
haha cool, army of me. nice choice
Sounds good but this yellow comp has no sustain! I prefer the blue comp. 👍
Compressor-esque rather.
You don't say.
prymaxe makes only watchable demo videos at utube, those other are more like Opera Springer. Talk talk talk............
Sounds compresser-y.
yeah,right,get a room now
Woah the demo.. instrumental is so weird sounding
