I'm sure I've said this on at least one of your demos before but...This is how great demos are supposed to be done. I've bought 5 Mooer pedals based largely on your thoroughness in putting them through their paces. Great playing. Great pedals.
Every time I watch one of Mike's videos, he makes me want to immediately go out and buy whatever it is that he is demo'ing, and at the same time makes me want to throw my guitar in the closet and just give it up. Dude could make a mic'd up box full of marbles sound good. :)
I'm late to the party on Mooer pedals. I stumbled across the Rumble and wow! Fantastic pedal. After that, I bought the Hustle Drive and the Pure Boost as well. Can't say enough good things about these pedals. Best OD tones I've ever had. Thanks for the great videos.
I am late to the party too, I was looking at the HOTONE pedals, which I like but I bought the Moore Hustle drive off Reverb for $67.I think the Moore pedals give you more flexibility in tone.
Pardon the delay pun .. all your demos rule ! I'd love to try this and the other overdrive and distortion pedals from Mooer .. they have the right person demoing them .. cheers !
Great pedal, purchased from Prymaxe over a year ago. Very dependable pedal. The voice and tone controls offer a lot of flexibility and versatility. Other demos clearly show the Rumble Drive nearly identical to the Zen Drive.
Mike Hermans is one tasteful player! It's so inspiring to listen to his demos regardless if you're looking for a pedal or not. I've got the Mooer Hustle Drive (bought that one from seeing Mike's demo) and I alternate between that one and an Xotic BB Preamp, depending on the occasion. The Rumble Drive sounds tempting.
No wonder I love your melodies in your improvised solos...."Invitation" is "imo" one of the most excellent, haunting, sensually evocative melodies ever created......it's incredible....I was practicing one time with this drummer and bass player who were true jazz players, the drummer was like "Lenny White" the bass player for all practical purposes was "Jaco Pastorious," he could sight read fly paper...I asked them with the last few minutes left of rehearsal if we could play "Invitation"
I got one, but never really liked the sound until I put it first in the chain, and I use it more like a Fuzz Face. I play a Classic Player Jazzmaster and the pickups in that thing are sort of overdriven to begin with, and the Rumble Drive tended to sound a little squashed and middy when there was any sort of buffering going on from other pedals. Like all Mooer pedals on my board I put a bit of white paint in the grooves on the tiny knobs so I can see them. I also have a Hustle Drive, a Yellow Comp, a Trelicopter and a Reecho. I use the a Deluxe Signa Comp instead of the Yellow Comp usually, and I switch between a Danelectro Tunamelt and the Trelicopter depending on my mood. My favorite's the Hustle Drive...
In your opinion, does that Hustle drive come close to an OCD? I think OCD is a GREAT pedal, but I would replace it if the Hustle drive has a similar quality tone.
I've only tried out the OCD at Guitar Center so I can't really say I've been able to compare them too critically, but I do really think the Hustle Drive is pretty great OCD replacement especially when you consider the price and footprint.
Might have been a quote from a Jazz Standard called " Invitation" I believe by Antonio Carlos Jobim, first time at 1:54 then again at 2:14......very nice playing Mike! But it also could be what he heard......at the moment...that's the beauty of music.
The virtuoso bass player looked at me and said "you know that song?" (Invitation) I really didn't know it that well at all but I said, hey I"ve got the chart right here in front of me, they didn't need charts....as soon as this incredible drummer counted it off at a high tempo this "Jaco" bass went into a walking bass line and the two of them went into "Invitation" orbit, right away I became a baby thumb sucker who sank into the obscurity I so richly deserved for even thinking I "knew" the song
Never heard/even seen a Dumble. I find it hard to judge the sound via the available youtube vids. Sometimes it sounds supro-ish, sometimes bassman/bluesbreaker-ish... I guess at least one person here has heard/played thru it. How would you describe it?
TheSAJ11 The Hustle Drive is simply amazing driving a clean fender-ish tube amp. I've got a Fender Ramparte (basically a dressed up Champ 1x12) and the sounds it makes with it are wonderous.

Thanks for your awesome demos. I just bought this pedal and I am so happy with it. I am a big fan of the Mooer pedals. I own close to a dozen of them.
Whenever I'm looking up a piece of gear and see that you have a demo, I get excited.
Every time I watch one of Mike's videos, he makes me want to immediately go out and buy whatever it is that he is demo'ing, and at the same time makes me want to throw my guitar in the closet and just give it up. Dude could make a mic'd up box full of marbles sound good. :)

Scofield oriented in many patterns. Love this guy's playing ❤️🎸🤟🏼
I have a ZenDrive and this. This gets you closer to Dumble territory. My fav OD pedal.
Pardon the delay pun .. all your demos rule ! I'd love to try this and the other overdrive and distortion pedals from Mooer .. they have the right person demoing them .. cheers !
Lovely demonstration and Wow! playing. Beautiful sounds! Thank you!
I was quoting Invitation. I had just taught that song, so it came out. Love that melody
Me too, what is the song.

Coming soon. I have a bunch of pedals I have to demo before I get to that one. Sorry for the delay!
Thanks for the kind words!
-Mike
I like this one and the Green Mile. This one a little more
-Mike
Aghhhhhhhhh... That green is epic, I would buy it for the awesome colour!!!!!

Jim Bouchard Fair enough...thanks!
3:19 that blendy chord lick be sick man
Oh, and great demo as always. I really need to get me an overdrive like this.
Might have been a quote from a Jazz Standard called " Invitation" I believe by Antonio Carlos Jobim, first time at 1:54 then again at 2:14......very nice playing Mike! But it also could be what he heard......at the moment...that's the beauty of music.
I'm demoing the Solo pedal this week. Don't have the Rumble to make a direct comparison....
The better Mooer Overdrive.
holy wow that sounds amazing
I'd like to see this A/B'd with their "Solo" o.d. pedal which I tried and liked much. Thank you. great playing, backtracks, etc.
Got this pedal ...white knob at 11:00 voice down tone up volume at noon.... Kick ass tone.
Great pedal and great video
i have that pedal... It's fantastic. I love it.
Thanks!
also it has a great price - mention that also!!!
I've just bought it here in Mexico and it's great, no strange sounds, very solid, etc., could you tell me if you still play it and how is it now? :)
+zepelindeplomo I still have and I won't stop using. Still great sound. I love that pedal.
Incredible, thanks :)
If I thought I could do as good as a job as Prymaxe does doing videos...I'd ask for a job doing pedal demos!
Thanks!
-Mike
2:10 T H E - L I C C (tm)
lol
that's the point.
The input impedance is more likely in kOhms, 470Ohms is too little.
i buy this pedal , it's AWESOME !
Give it a chance to play with your own guitar and Amp .
What about a SRV/John Mayer Kinda tone...is it possible with it?
Sure it's possible !
i have rumble drive and green mile, both from Mooer.
very great pedals in my opinion !
they're very cheap, but try them .
good sound !
The virtuoso bass player looked at me and said "you know that song?" Great playing! So I ordered a Hustle Drive recently and returned it because it was so noisy (background hiss) when engaged. Is this pedal any quieter?
Sounded more like a tube screamer-ish pedal than a dumble drive...or is it my ears?!
which is better for play in front of a distortion pedal, this or the mooer juicer, because i think that the juicer is more like a distortion?
Cool! Sounds great! What pickups are in the telecaster?
super and brillant demo! oh , i like your phrasing;)
What is the purpose of this pedal? Is it used for boosting an overdriven amp, or it can be used as a standalone overdrive too?
Where's that Solo demo? : )~
so which pedal has more gain, the hustle drive or the rumble drive, thanks Dave
Ha! I've seen that video before. Must have been a subconscious thing
-MIke
The first few notes sound exactly like Ethiopian Song by Ataxia.
It made me think of Dake.
Never heard/even seen a Dumble. I find it hard to judge the sound via the available youtube vids. Sometimes it sounds supro-ish, sometimes bassman/bluesbreaker-ish... I guess at least one person here has heard/played thru it. How would you describe it?
1:51 Invitation!
2:11 -- THE LICK!
Just to be clear--this will not take a battery, correct?
+Tyrone Shuz no it wont
Battery only - due to its small size!
it WONT take a battery...a battery doesnt even fit in there...its AC power ONLY..
@dubschan most of their pedals are..
Mooer vs Rowin pl !!
what drum machine did you use?
great playing, reminds me of scofield
how does this compare to the hustle drive????
TheSAJ11 The Hustle Drive is simply amazing driving a clean fender-ish tube amp. I've got a Fender Ramparte (basically a dressed up Champ 1x12) and the sounds it makes with it are wonderous.
I’ve got the Hustle Drive along with the Mooer 006 Mini Preamp (based on a Fender Deluxe) and even with that it sounds incredible !
However, I thinks Dr, Woofda can play his way out of a wet paper napkin.
What's it a clone of?
TS9 if I'm not wrong !
Pretty sure it's a modified zendrive circuit, Definitely not a TS9
Zendrive clone?
Everytime he play, all pedal sounds good, damn i bought this pedal a year ago, and i really disapointed, the sounds not good lol
Not familiar... I'll look it up
At 2:10, he plays "The Lick". I've played it without realizing it, too.
/watch?v=krDxhnaKD7Q
Sounds good but I bet this pedal is a blatant copy of the zendrive judging by the controls, name and sound.
Have this one, perfect, cheap, recomendable, analog, truebypass... But not for me. I want to change it jejejejeje
FOR WHAT I WANT ONE
Wooow he plays THE LICK!
I can too play my way outta dat wet paper sack ....snickledorf!
Inm
Todo bien, pero suena igual a mierda. Y tengo 2. Mejor ahorren muchachos.
Thanks!
