Mike, I just had to figure out your tasty licks starting around the 34 second mark, especially that weird jazzy thing. It took a few minutes but I finally got it - it's a G half/whole diminished scale. I also dig the G Phrygian minus the 2nd and 6th riff a few seconds later, and your Minor Pent. phrasings are a bit different than I've done before. So, thanks for the free guitar lesson!!! I've been playing for many years but, aside from a few Charlie Christian solos, I've never really copped any jazzy lines. Although you weren't soloing at 100 miles an hour, your great feel and fluid phrasing, excellent bends and vibrato, etc., almost made it seem as though you were doing more than you were, if ya know what I mean. It's also nice to listen to a product demo in which the demonstrator can actually tune and play great. Thanx again!!
Just got this pedal home. Playing a strat through a Fender solid state amp that does a decent tube sound and mine doesn't sound near as good on any setting. Before anyone comments that it's mostly in the fingers, yes, I'm aware of that, but I have been playing a lot of years now and usually get positive response from people. Maybe I was just unlucky and got one of the few lemons that slipped through.
Have to say I'm disappointed with it. There is too much distortion even when set to zero and not enough when turned up full, They should probably take the word distortion out of their ad as this is an overdrive pedal only and not the best I've heard, the sustain is also quite poor. In its favor are the price and small size, but as I said maybe most of them sound great and I just happened to get the one lemon
solid state does not take most pedals well,, take the pedal to a guitar star and put in on a tube amp, the blackstar ht-5 is a great amp, the bogners are great tube amps, there is a pevey 20 watt tube amp now that sounds better then what you have now also,,
I intend to get one of these in a few hours, thanks for the video. Need something very small for long distance gigs where I dont want to carry my E530 along.
Great demo's of all the Mooer pedals! It's really nice that they make such good pedals for such little prices. Could you also demo the blues crab, it looks very promising as a BluesBreaker clone
These mooer pedals are pretty nice. This one and the and the ocd clone sound better to me than the originals. This one seems smoother, more versatile and more capable of od sounds which the original ds-1 sucks at.
If this is a Boss DS-1, it's one on steroids and HGH. I think this has even more balls than the keeley modded DS-1. The only thing DS-1 about it is the color, the sound is so much thicker and more aggressive.
I agree. To me this has nothing to do with the DS1. Sounds terrific though, makes me think of a RAT sometimes, but it seems more versatile. The DS1 is fizzier and dirtier and more metal-oriented.
Although they have are similar sound, this has more mids (great for lead), os2 has mid scoop (great for rhythm) I stack os2 with ts9 and the sound is very close to this
I hope you are touring the world right now, you are an undiscovered guitar diamond
You definitely make this pedal sound like a "Must-Buy"!
The Mooer's are great tones at a great price!

great playing smooth AND accurate, no useless talking, only music, no boring over heard pentatonic lickcs. Great job !
God this guy can play. Watch all these videos just to feel in awe.

Great demo, clean playing, I'm sold !!!
Non seulement ça sonne de chez "çasonne" mais en plus le démonstrateur est excellent !
Thanks!

So, did you liked the pedal?

+Thom Vogan thank you man, I will check other pedals.

Maaan your touch, make every pedal sounds like "yours", its not in pedal, its in your finger :D
I can speak for the mooer ninety orange great pedal I'm gonna assume this one is great as well
I intend to get one of these in a few hours, thanks for the video. Need something very small for long distance gigs where I dont want to carry my E530 along.
Great demo!
wow this is my fav, gotta have this ;)
this pedal is good for classic rock tune :)

Excellent demo!

Fender Deluxe Tele is lovely but you will put Lollar Royal T in the neck and special T in the Bridge.
wow this awesome
"Ultra Drive Distortion" is the "Boss DS-1" clone with mods and "Cruncher" is the "MI Chunch Box" clone ...i think so...
Heritage
Is some of the settings suitable for metallica-like thrash metal? Or if not, which pedals would you recommend?
will this work well boosting the OCD?
I want the sound of OCD with more gain, sustain but not compressed!
Thanks, great reviews!
My eye is seeing a ultra modded little pedal.
Can you tell me what amp you are using? And mic on the speaker?
Video says he's playing through a Dr. Z Maz 18 amp 1:01 3:40
which one is better?solo distortion or this one?
miss me w/ the drum machine - PLEASE !!!!
Any difference from the Cruncher model?
4:30 Sounds like Greta van Fleet
Songs?
OVERDRIVE OS2 OR THIS????
Although they have are similar sound, this has more mids (great for lead), os2 has mid scoop (great for rhythm)
I stack os2 with ts9 and the sound is very close to this
This is more like a overdrive or a dist?
It'd say it can act as either of, kind of like a Fulltone OCD.
Does anybody know what this is based on ?
Reminds me of the MI Audio Crunch box...balls out distortion
Keeley Modded Boss DS-1 Ultra
www.robertkeeley.com/manuals/ds_1_ultra_mod.pdf
Boss designed the circuit and sells it for half the price of this Mooer.
mike hermans seems so relazed or whatever during the demos .
DS1-like, but not the same. More crunchy than an MIJ DS1. MIJ DS1 is smoother
hello, What pickups does your guitar?
the Tele!
