Thanks Mike! That's my favorite Beatles song. I learned this song from The Beatles Complete songbook and you show a lot more detail than what the book shows. I truly appreciate that. Now I have to learn it the way you showed which sounds so much closer and better. You Rock!!!
Great song and another great lesson Mike. I always thought the solo sounded like it was played on a 12-string so it's great to learn George and Paul duetted their solos an octave apart.
Mike when I wake up and see a new Pachelli video I have already had a good day. And its only just begun . Its so cool that you put the Guitar out front in your lesson and sound alike on many of these where its buried.
What this breakdown demonstrates to me is how the guitar parts without the vocals , in particular the harmonies completely changes an average song into a Beatles classic.
Listened to this song the other day and wondered if you might tackle it. Glad you did because I can now hear things I didn't hear in 45 years since I bought the Help! album. Thanks for all you do to increase my appreciation of those great old songs and wish you a wonderful 2025.
Thanks for doing this one, Mike! I always love how you provide all the ingredients and then combine them all into the sound alike. It's such a great way to learn a song.
Thanks Mike. Years ago, on bass I played this tune in a band and it was a crowd pleaser. Fun to play and sing. Now, I'm finally learning guitar. Much appreciated !
Ringo was always overdrubbing!🤣 Did you see Paul's recent London concert where he debuted his restored '61 Hofner? Good to see it back in the spotlight!👍👍 Thanks Mike & Happy New Year!🥳
Another great one Mr. Mike. Thank you. Music is amazing as it can sustain the energy of a song for almost 60 years. Also amazing that by 1965 they had an album of all originals.
Awesome Mike. I've always enjoyed this song and the way they filmed it in the movie Help was a lot of fun. But man, as always, your detailed breakdown of these often times hard to hear parts is just stellar. And I second another comment about your great vocals hitting those high notes. Wonderful.
Love your videos, Mike - and this was great! Way above my limited technique, but always a great learning experience. We tend to pigeonhole Paul as "just the bass player," and we forget sometimes what a good guitar player he is! Your video shows us how much effort and thought they put into **every** song they recorded, even ones that didn't become huge singles. (Oh, and love your "sound-alike" version at the end.)
Thanks for bringing back an era of Delight. The vocals really do the Logos. My grandma once cooked for those guys. On their way to Texas. ( English cousins to the crown).
Another great lesson Mike. We saw Paul McCartney in concert just before Christmas in London. Btw your vocals are spot on. Any chance of picking them apart?
Great job Mike! Thanks! It doesn't seem like Paul had time to practice guitar because they were so busy playing shows (with his bass) or recording or trying to get some sleep, yet he was so great at it. How?
@droog - I prefer folks get something for the moola. Downloading a chart & tab. But there is a 'tip' button on my homepage at www.MikePachelli.com for those that wanna be extra generous...
Great video as always. I was surprised that George used a Strat on this song - I was under the impression that he and John first used Strats while recording Rubber Soul?
I could be wrong, but didn't John play piano on "Rock and Roll Music" alongside Paul and George Martin? If so, that precedes this song. I knew about the George/Paul octave solo, I always assumed that George attempted it himself on 12-string, but the bends were too difficult to play in tune. Do you know anything about that? Great vid as always.
I play 12string guitar, and I think this kind of bending is practically impossible. Come to think of it, I can't remember any song in which Roger McGuinn - he of Rickenbacker 12 string jingle jangle fame - used bending ...
Mike, here's something that has baffled me for years. The last note in the solo is a D. However, the chord underneath it is A major, which doesn't exactly fit. That's kinda strange, don't you think?
No - that doesn't turn my ear one way or another. Get yourself used to notes not always pertaining to the underlying chord. It could always be explained. In this case consider it a suspension of A - or suggesting a D7 which would nicely set up the Bm of "When I held you near..." Never-the-less- if this is strange to you - I suggest more ear training.
Thanks Mike! I think they blazed thru some of their greatest songs without even realizing it.

Fantastic as usual Mike! Yet another one of my favorite Beatles tunes! Happy New Year to you and your family Mike & all the best in 2025! 💥💥 👍👍
The vocals! To be able to do a great job, in that high register, is most impressive.
Mike is simply the best on everything Beatles!
I love this song. Thanks!!!
Great song and brilliantly constructed - ‘fab’ job as usual

The 1st time I saw John play the Hohner Pianet was in the movie HELP! Before that I didn’t know he could play piano.
Nice background vocals 🙂
Another great lesson Mike. We saw Paul McCartney in concert just before Christmas in London.

Good job..!
hey mike - do consider adding a ‘thanks’ button so we can all put some money in the jar for the generous videos you put out.

Ever think of publishing your charts and tabs as a book? or pdf book? or like a package deal album by album? Love your work!
This song is def underrated
Sensacional. Amo essa música.🇧🇷👏👏
Great tutorial Mike, thanks so much!

Muchas gracias compartir tus conocimientos con nosotros. Si tu sigues yo te seguiré.
Mike - how hard was it to learn to play bass left-handed for authenticity in the videos?

@@MPfrance Thank you.
I'd say Mike is the 19th Beatle.
The Beatles must have liked the song themselves if they performed it on a BBC radio show.
Tremendo video. Todavia esperando la lección de Yer Blues
George Harrison song after help he was the Beatles he grew up with john and McCartney 🤔🤔🤔🤔
